The Storm Clan’s private spacecraft is docked on the dedicated platform on the north side of the estate.
This is a gracefully designed dium-sized vehicle.
The shell is made of specially treated "mica steel," displaying a pale blue tallic sheen under the sunlight.
The power source of the spacecraft is four "storm cores" suspended at the bottom, each emitting stable energy fluctuations.
"This spacecraft is one of our family’s collection."
Cassius proudly introduced it, gently stroking the smooth hull:
"Although it was made over a hundred years ago, its performance remains reliable."
Ron carefully observed the construction of the spacecraft.
Though the design is relatively old, the craftsmanship is indeed exquisite.
Especially the layout of those rune circuits, showcasing the maker’s profound technical skills.
"Does your family have a tradition in vehicle manufacturing?"
He asked, becoming interested in the topic.
"Not exactly a tradition, just a hobby."
Cassius humbly replied, while activating the spacecraft’s startup sequence:
"An ancestor of our family was very interested in various magical machinery in his lifeti, leaving behind many related design drawings and semi-finished products."
The spacecraft gently lifted off with a slight tremor.
Through the porthole, Ron could overlook the full view of the Storm Clan estate.
Those ancient buildings appeared solemn and beautiful in the morning light, with the surrounding courtyard designs being quite thoughtful.
But simultaneously, he noticed so details:
So remote buildings were clearly lacking maintenance, with roofs and walls having varying degrees of damage.
So devices in the courtyard were also in a state of disuse, evidently to save maintenance costs.
These signs reminded him that the Storm Clan’s financial situation might not be as affluent as it appears.
"Regarding the actual situation of our family, I feel it’s necessary to explain to you in detail."
Cassius seed to have sensed Ron’s observations and began a candid conversation:
"Although we are considered an ancient clan with so status in the Central Lands, to be honest, we currently face quite a few challenges."
He activated the spacecraft’s autopilot system and then turned to Ron:
"Firstly, there’s the issue of talent. Apart from Eliot, the young people in our generation are relatively... average in terms of aptitude."
This self-deprecating statent improved Ron’s impression of Cassius by a few notches.
Being able to objectively assess his family’s situation showed he was at least a practical person.
"Secondly, there’s the issue of power distribution."
Cassius continued, his voice tinged with helplessness:
"Currently, there is only one resident Moonlight Level Mage in the family, and that’s .
The other peers, are either out serving important positions or participating in Lady Cassandra’s otherworld expedition."
"How powerful are those clan mbers who went abroad?"
Ron asked, becoming interested in the overall strength of the Storm Clan.
"Currently, there are three others at the Moon Level like ."
Cassius frankly admitted:
"My elder brother Carl is currently serving as the deputy dean at the ’Aurora Academy’. My cousins Vida and Reynard are now following Lady Cassandra in the otherworld conquest."
"Regarding the Dark Sun Level..."
Cassius’s expression beca sowhat grim:
"Our family currently has only one Dark Sun Level Wizard, and that’s my great-grandfather.
However, he hasn’t appeared in the Main World for years, supposedly engaged in a long-term research project in so otherworld."
"Is this situation common in the Central Lands?"
Ron continued to inquire, hoping to learn more about High Tier Wizard information.
"Very common."
Cassius nodded in confirmation:
"For Dark Sun Level and above wizards, the environnt in the Main World is no longer sufficient to support their research needs.
They need to seek opportunities for breakthroughs in more complex and dangerous environnts."
He paused for a mont, gazing out the window:
"This is also why, although the Central Lands is densely populated with wizards, high-tier combat power seems relatively scarce. Most strong individuals are conducting their respective explorations in the Abyss or otherworld."
It seems that with increasing strength, wizards gradually detach from traditional social structures, moving towards more individualized developntal paths.
Ron nodded, which aligned with his own observations.
He had been in the Central Lands for quite so ti and had barely seen any Great Wizard Level individuals except Cassandra and Uther.
Even Dark Sun Level wizards were scarcely visible outside of so significant holidays.
The lecturers often seen within the School mostly possessed only Morning Star Level strength.
"So, does the enactnt of the conquest policy have any impact on this situation?"
He astutely inquired.
ntioning this topic, a complex light imdiately appeared in Cassius’s eyes.
"The impact is profound."
His voice beca more somber:
"Previously, it was almost impossible for Moon Level Mages to participate in otherworld exploration.
Such cross-border travels required enormous energy support, which only Dark Sun Level and above wizards possessed."
"But now it’s different."
Cassius’s tone contained unmistakable envy:
"Lady Cassandra’s mastery of transport technology has provided us Moon Level Mages the opportunity to access otherworld resources.
Those rare materials, unique technologies, and various unprecedented research topics..."
He didn’t finish speaking, but the yearning in his eyes said it all.
"Would you also like to participate in the conquest plan?"
