Suddenly, Archbishop Gomez turned around, fixing his gaze on a corner of the prayer hall, his brows knitted even tighter.
“Who’s there?”

Although Freeman and his panion were strong, defeating Archbishop Gomez, a man even more powerful than them, within the temple’s prayer hall, was beyond their reach.
Their bined efforts merely caused the blue shield around Archbishop Gomez to waver slightly before steadying once more.
Suddenly, a black spiral column of light shot across the hall!
Concentrating on his battle with Freeman and Bergis, two high-ranking members of the Cult of the Black Flame, Archbishop Gomez felt a sharp pain in his chest!
Looking down, his eyes revealed an expression of disbelief.
A fist-sized hole had been pierced through the heart of his chest by some object.
Then Exeter stepped forward with a smile, his demeanor calm, and said, “I apologize, Archbishop Gomez.”
“The witchcraft you just used was…” the pale-faced Archbishop Gomez began.
“Yes, it was the Third Order Shadow Arts ‘Shadow Light Cannon,'” Exeter nodded.
Naturally, the ability to break through Second Order Divine Arts required an even higher order of power.
Before advancing to a Crystallization Wizard, Exeter couldn’t have possibly managed to assassinate Archbishop Gomez of the Church of the Goddess—even by a surprise attack.
