Chapter 1209: Chapter 590: Intelligence Is Not Omnipotent, Nor Are People

The reason for organizing this celebration so grandly is simply to tell everyone that the border war is just a localized conflict that doesn’t affect normal life, ensuring everyone has confidence in the Vicktor Governnt.

And by nightfall…

More than 1,100 lanterns were released from all directions in xico City, instantly illuminating the entire sky as if it were daylight.

On the top floor of the National Palace.

Victor took a rare break, accompanying Belsaria to enjoy the evening breeze, looking at the lanterns in the sky with a smile, pointing at them, but his companion kept her head down, touching her belly, silent.

“What’s wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable?” Victor asked, concerned.

Belsaria raised her head, looking at him with an expression that seed she had sothing to say but stopped herself, shaking her head, “Nothing.”

“Who made you upset? You don’t seem in a good mood.”

She seed to make a decision, “Do you know Krista Schroeder and Caesar Napoleon Vieri?”

Victor’s brows instantly furrowed!

Behind him, Fat Casare had been listening intently, and upon hearing this na, he exchanged a glance with his confidential secretary, Martin Bao Man, secretly uttering a silent curse.

How did we fail to hide it?!

How did this matter beco exposed?

Victor stared into her eyes, his body sitting a bit straighter, feeling guilty.

But just like that, Belsaria couldn’t hold her tears back, “Aren’t you going to explain anything?”

“Before I t you, we indeed were together.”

Victor paused, then uttered a famous saying, “I just made a mistake every man makes.”

“I’m tired… I’m going to rest.” Belsaria cut him off, holding her belly as she slowly stood up, struggling a bit. Victor reached out to support her but was avoided, leaving the rooftop with the help of a nearby servant.

Victor stood with his hands on his hips, frowning. Although he didn’t speak, Casare could still feel the anger emanating from him.

He cautiously said, “Boss, do you want to investigate thoroughly?”

No response…

Fat Casare looked to Martin Bao Man for help, but the latter imdiately shrank back like a tortoise, not daring to step forward at this ti.

After about three to four minutes.

Victor shook his head, taking a deep breath, “If you don’t want anyone to know, then don’t do it; Caesar is three years old now, what can be hidden will eventually be exposed.”

This was indeed true.

You can walk by the river often, but you can’t always keep your shoes dry.

Belsaria must have heard so rumors, and when Caesar was born, despite the good internal confidentiality asures, many people accompanied Victor to the hospital, and the news spread anyway.

To put it bluntly, personal style issues are never the real problem; for soone in power, not having power is the real issue.

Roosevelt had relationships with quite a few people, and it was said the Norwegian Princess deeply loved him too. Of course, who wouldn’t love a man who could stir the global stage?

Feudalism has never truly left, oh, it has only departed from the grassroots.

Be more careful next ti, and don’t get caught again.

“Should we buy so gifts to coax her?” Casare suggested.

“South Africa has diamonds, maybe get so bracelets, necklaces, or so gold; her birthday is coming up, get her sothing big.”

Victor lit a cigarette, contemplated it with furrowed brows for a mont, then threw the cigarette on the ground, snapped his head around, and said viciously, “Investigate! I want to see who talks so much!”

Casare was just about to respond, suddenly!

BOOM!!!!

A massive explosion echoed abruptly, startling everyone on the rooftop. Casare instinctively shielded his boss, and Victor turned his head, eyes wide open, seeing a small mushroom cloud rise into the sky!

Amidst screams…

That echoed throughout xico City.

Victor felt a chill over his body, Casare’s body went numb, Martin Bao Man stood beside them dumbfounded, legs weakening!

“Save the people!”

“Order Erich Manstein, have the Guard First Division control the city!”

“Yes!”

Casare responded and turned to deliver the orders.

Victor took a deep breath, watching the flas of the explosion with fierce eyes, feeling the heat on his face.

“Quickly establish an investigation team; I must know what happened.”

Martin Bao Man also responded.

The rooftop now only had a few bodyguards standing at a distance, Victor’s hands clenched into fists, making creaking noises.

“Help! Help!”

“Save ! Save !”

“Mama… Mama!”

The explosion scene was chaotic, with a building blown beyond recognition, broken glass littering the street outside, and injured people lying on the ground; so were wailing, while others remained motionless.

The police arrived quickly, along with the Capital Police Chief Friedrich Karl Eberstein, who was also the deputy chief of the police departnt; he arrived at the scene in under twenty minutes.

“Quickly save people, damn it all!”

A minister cursed in frustration, his face pale and blue, knowing soone would have to be accountable for this ss, and it certainly wouldn’t be him.

Ambulance sirens blared everywhere, wailing incessantly.

“Director, should we control the dia and jam signals?” The deputy director next to him asked in a low voice.

Friedrich Karl Eberstein fiercely glared at him, “How do we jam it? There are nearly 40 million people in the xico area; how can it be hidden?! First, control the dia, and get those journalists out of here; don’t let them approach the scene.”

“Understood.”

The phone in his pocket rang, and Friedrich hurriedly answered; it was Cuauhtémoc demanding him to find out the cause, “Yes!”
