Chapter 1273: Chapter 617: You Really Are a Genius!! (Part 2)

“Even if I’m feeding a dog, it better follow my orders.”

“What’s going on exactly?”

Casare glanced at Jeff Bennett, signaling that it’s his turn to speak. After a mont’s hesitation, Bennett said, “During the retreat of the 7th Infantry Division from the Albuquerque command post, two regints clashed fiercely with the locals. Frontline commander Admiral Frederick Franks died on the spot, and enraged soldiers began a spree of indiscriminate killing…”

Casare only had a vague understanding of the situation, but hearing that the frontline commander was dead left him stunned!

That was an Admiral!

The U.S. Military had yet to lose a commander of such rank in combat…

“Of course, no one knows exactly how he died; so say he was killed by friendly fire,” Jeff Bennett shrugged. “But nonetheless, furious soldiers rampaged through Albuquerque by burning, looting, and killing. It’s estimated over 10,000 were injured during the turmoil, and more than 2,000 died, with property damages amounting to billions of US Dollars.”

Hearing this level of loss, even Victor couldn’t help but furrow his brows.

Bastards!

Damn bastards!

This is all my damned land.

He took a deep breath, but the more he thought, the angrier he got. He slamd the table and stood up, “Send a letter to the United States, demanding they hand over the murderers to us. I want to hang them in the ruins of Albuquerque. Imdiately hold a press conference, and order the air force to air-drop supplies into Albuquerque, with ground forces ready to enter.”

“Anyone hindering our rescue is our enemy. I authorize and permit you to use any weapons to strike at the enemy!”

“Yes!” Jeff Bennett responded uprightly and hurried off.

In the office, only Casare and Victor remained.

“Sons of bitches, Yanks!”

He cursed as he lit a cigarette for himself, turning towards the window, a smirk creeping up his lips…

He had been worrying about how to win over the hearts of the New xican people, and now they’ve just handed him the weapon. Aid Albuquerque, hang the murderers above, and provide compensation to the victims, say 1,000 Riyals each. What do you think will happen to public opinion?

The people know who treats them well!

That’s why Yanks are fools. Once New xico is stable, will California not comply? Hmm, I’ll strike at you from both sides!

Thanks, Yanks, for the pillow you’ve sent!

anwhile, United Morning News reporter Chen Lianlian had just returned to the hotel to rest when she heard a rapid knocking at her door.

Opening the door in confusion, she saw a colleague with a flushed face, “Sothing happened, the U.S. military caused a massacre in Albuquerque. About 3,000 people died; it’s on the news, quick, watch TV.”

The colleague was montarily stunned, and hurried inside to turn on the hotel’s TV, randomly selecting a Canadian channel, where scenes of Albuquerque’s horrors were playing—corpses everywhere, no blurring, children crying in confusion.

And the streets along the border had all been burned black.

It looked like…

Hell!

“Victor surely left because of this,” Chen Lianlian said with certainty, just as the phone rang. She picked it up, “Oh, okay, thank you.”

After hanging up, she quickly said, “The xican Governnt is holding an ergency press conference. Let’s go.”

The two hurried off, carrying their equipnt to the scene.

On the afternoon of September 3, 1993, in the press room of the National Palace.

Casare took the stage personally.

President Cuauhtémoc had a limp and wasn’t fit, and Victor rarely showed himself, acting as a behind-the-scenes leader. So only Casare was left. With a somber face, he got straight to the point:

“The Governnt of the Republic of xico strongly protests against the war cris committed by the withdrawing U.S. military forces in Albuquerque!”

“On September 2, 1993, regarding the systematic war cris committed by the 32nd Infantry Regint and the 17th Infantry Regint of the United States Army during their retreat from the city of Albuquerque, the xican Ministry of Foreign Affairs today handed the ninth Use of Force Accountability Note to the Washington authorities. This atrocity once again exposes the Arican military machine’s disdain for human rights and international law. xico will defend its territory and citizen’s safety by any ans necessary!!”

“On the evening of September 2, the U.S. military forces ordered to peacefully withdraw under the ‘xico-Arica Peace Negotiation—Troop Withdrawal Agreent,’ perpetrated heinous acts of arson, killing, and looting in Albuquerque’s old city, the Rio Grande River Port, and the city center!”

“Deliberate arson: 26 civilian facilities, including the Municipal Archive and San Felipe Hospital, were set on fire.”

“Additionally, the regint’s soldiers engaged in horrifying acts of massacre and robbery, with up to 100,000 victims and around 3,771 deaths! Most of whom were won!”

“This is simply terrifying! Words cannot describe it!”

“Goddamn it!” Casare cursed here indignantly, and everyone heard it, but no one disagreed; it was completely justified. Everyone shared the sa sentint—damn it!

“Based on the United Nations ‘Convention on the Non-Applicability of Statutory Limitations to War Cris and Cris against Humanity,’ xico orders the Arican authorities: within 48 hours, hand over the atrocity commanders, Major William Hudson and Major Aurelio Allen, and other war criminals to xico, and xican personnel will interrogate the remaining regint soldiers!”

“Otherwise, xico will not agree to a ceasefire!”

“The xican Military Procuratorate War Cris Investigation Team is established, demanding unconditional cooperation from the U.S. side. The xican Governnt promises not to let any murderer go unpunished and will hang them in Albuquerque to console the victims.”

“Moreover, xican troops have swiftly responded, the Air Force is prepared to deliver supplies to Albuquerque, and ground forces will intervene quickly for rescue, with the xican Governnt promising unconditional dical treatnt for every victim!”

“Residents of Albuquerque, rest assured, not everyone is as despicable as the United States. You now belong to xico, and xico will always protect you.”

“September 3, 1993!”

After finishing his speech, Casare left with a grim face. Suddenly he stopped and returned, knocking on the table and speaking into the microphone, “Also, a warning to the extremist groups in New xico, do not attack the rescue troops, otherwise even at the ends of the earth, the xican Intelligence Bureau and military will exterminate them, including their families!”

After this intimidation, he left under the protection of security personnel.

Chen Lianlian stood below, her blood boiling from what she heard. Such direct accusations, demanding you hand over the murderers, and threatening to attack if you don’t—it was exhilarating.

“Nearly 4,000 casualties, really? Could they be making it up; no one has verified these figures,” a colleague whispered in Singaporean.

“Whether it’s true or not, right now the moral high ground is with xico. Initially, many extremists opposed the xican military entering New xico. Now? If they really take action, the military’s retaliation would be justified. Isn’t there a saying, to win the people’s hearts is to win the world?”

People in Southeast Asia are quite familiar with Han culture.

The colleague pondered a mont, nodding. If extremists, wanting to stop the xican army regardless of Albuquerque’s condition, acted, it would certainly spark public outrage.

This could be considered the war of the people, right?

“Alright, let’s go back, tidy up, and prepare the draft.”

Traditional dia is slower, but on the internet, although videos can’t be displayed yet due to technical reasons, the “Statent of the Republic of xico” and Casare’s “warning” have stirred a huge ruckus online.

Opinions varied.
