Capítulo 1585: Chapter 731: Deadweight Teammates, Can’t Carry Them

This is an adventurous plan that will seriously damage the United States’ comrcial reputation and international image, and could even trigger a trade war. But as Rove said, it’s one of the fastest ways to get money.

The soldiers must be appeased.

Today they kill an officer; tomorrow will they kill the President?

He pondered for a mont and nodded vigorously, “Alright, we’ll do it this way! Choose the targets wisely, prioritizing companies from countries where our alliance is subtle, or those countries dostically highly dependent on us. Move quickly and strike hard!”

“Yes, sir!”

Carl Rove took the order but imdiately recalled a crucial issue and tentatively asked: “And what about the businesses in xico? They have quite a few investnts in the United States, especially in the southern states. These entities are of considerable size.”

When Little Bush heard “xico,” he thought of Victor, and the muscles on his face twitched noticeably.

He really wanted to act! If he could snatch a piece of at from this tiger, Victor, it would solve the imdiate crisis and strike a blow to the opponent’s arrogance. How exhilarating would that be? But his remaining rationality was frantically warning him. He almost reflexively asked: “And after we act? Will Victor consider it a declaration of war? Will his army directly fire?”

Carl Rove sneered, the answer was obvious.

With Victor’s vengeful style, it wouldn’t matter if his core businesses were shut down; even moving against one insignificant small company could be used as an excuse to provoke border conflicts or even larger military actions. The United States is so fraught with problems internally, it can’t bear intense conflict on another front.

Little Bush looked at the Chief of Staff’s expression and understood everything. He seed drained of energy, wearily waving his hand, his tone full of frustration and helplessness: “Forget it, forget it, let’s not involve him for now, don’t create more trouble, first focus on the businesses in Europe and Japan and South Korea.”

It’s not too much for a father to ask his son for sothing, right?

“Understood.” Carl Rove also breathed a sigh of relief; he was really worried Mr. President would go hot-headed and stir up Victor’s hornet’s nest.

However, just as Little Bush made this tough decision, attempting to prolong their self-preservation by “internally rolling out” to allies and partners, trouble found him instead.

“Knock knock knock!” An urgent knocking sounded at the door, not waiting for Little Bush to respond, his personal secretary pushed the door open and burst in.

“Sir, in the area north of Portland City, Maine, a large-scale vicious violence occurred. Preliminary reports indicate that mbers of the extre xenophobic group ‘North Arican White Brotherhood’ organized an attack on a community predominantly inhabited by xican workers. It has been confird that more than 20 xican civilians have died, and the casualty numbers are still rising!”

“What?!” Little Bush sprang up from his chair, the scene went dark before his eyes; he had to hold onto the table to keep from falling, angrily cursing out loud: “Damn it! Always causing trouble! These brainless idiots!!”

He imdiately realized the seriousness of this matter.

In a ti when dostic racial conflicts are already sharp and relationships with xico are highly tense, this massacre targeting xicans was like handing a lit bomb to Victor!

“Imdiately! Publish the strongest condemnation statent in my na! Classify it as a terrorist attack! Order the Departnt of Justice and FBI, deploy all forces available, crack down and root out this damn Brotherhood, drag out all participants and those behind it, handle them strictly and severely, act quickly, show our stance before Victor reacts!” Little Bush almost shouted out his orders.

“Yes, sir!” The secretary recorded the order and imdiately turned and ran to deliver it.

“I feel like I’m serving a bunch of idiot Aricans!” Little Bush complained to the Chief of Staff.

Too exhausting.
