They will cooperate closely with allies within the NATO frawork, using the most professional and strongest military capabilities to ensure tragedies like this don’t happen again and to help our friends achieve victory!”
And Britain’s move instantly ignited a chain reaction within NATO.
Less than two hours after Britain announced troop deploynt, the French Elysee Palace also issued a statent:
“The French Republic cannot stand by and watch while an ally bears the burden alone. To demonstrate European solidarity and strength, we will send the renowned 2nd Parachute Regint of the French Foreign Legion to Indiana. The legion’s warriors are ready to use their experience and courage to contribute to the cause of freedom!”
The German Federal Governnt followed close behind, announcing: “The Federal Defense Army will deploy a battle group composed of elite forces from the 26th Parachute Brigade, along with accompanying armored reconnaissance and engineering units, to participate in this operation. German soldiers will perform their duties conscientiously to contribute to stabilizing the situation.”
Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland… announced to dispatch additional troops or provide more military support.
Poland announced deploying the famous “Lightning” Independent Airborne Brigade, and Canada pledged to send a reinforced battalion of the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps.
Within just a few hours, NATO—at least its main European mber states—completed a rapid upgrade from “advisory guidance” to “substantial military intervention.”
Many elite unit designations were thrown out, symbolizing the official and large-scale entry of European forces onto the battlefield stage of the North Arican continent.
