Capítulo 1729: Chapter 775: There Will Always Be Dissenting Voices (Part 2)

The news spread like wildfire across Europe and Arica.

London, Buckingham Palace.

Reporters gathered outside the palace gates, holding microphones and caras.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who had just finished equestrian training, was stopped, and when asked about his view on xico’s Olympic bid, the royal’s expression changed drastically.

“xico hosting the Olympics?”

Prince Andrew sneered and spoke directly to the cara, “I think it’s a desecration of the Olympic spirit. Victor is a thug who uses force to invade other countries’ territories, with blood on his hands. A country led by such a person doesn’t deserve to host such a sacred event.”

He paused, his tone becoming sharper: “If the International Olympic Committee really makes such an absurd decision, I would call for all of Europe to boycott it. At that point, let those third-rate countries play with him. A thug will never enter the hall of civilization.”

Prince Andrew’s statent was not without reason.

He had been humiliated by the other party.

Not long ago, in Victor’s “United States High-Level Cri List,” there was evidence of him using his royal status to participate in arms smuggling. Although he flatly denied it, his reputation had been damaged. His hostility toward xico was both a political stance and a personal vendetta.

Damn it…

As a Sky Dragon Person, what’s wrong with doing a little business?

Do you, a little nobody, need to interfere?

Great Britain has its own national conditions.

These words quickly spread across Europe.

The Tis front-page headline: “Royal Family Speaks: Boycott the xico Olympics”; Der Spiegel comntary: “The Olympics Shouldn’t Be a Fig Leaf for Warmongers”; French Figaro Newspaper stated: “Europe should unite to defend the bottom line of civilization.”

Among the opposition, there were also different voices.

Italy’s Evening Post published: “North Arican war stalemate, Olympics might be an opportunity to ease conflict, xico has experience hosting large events, and the 1968 xico City Olympics were successful.”

But the opposition clearly dominated.

Sports ministers from many European countries successively stated that “if xico hosts the Olympics, they will reconsider participating,” and so well-known athletes openly declared, “they will not compete in a war-torn country.”

Belize.

Victor watched Prince Andrew’s speech on television; he threw the remote on the table and said to Casare beside him, “The British are always like this. They didn’t call it barbaric when they colonized the world, but when soone else seeks a bit of interest, they suddenly beco thieves.”

“Boss, Felix sent a request, wanting to publicly respond to the British Royalties’ statents.” Casare handed over a telegram.

Victor nodded: “Let him speak, don’t be concerned.”

That afternoon, Felix held a press conference in front of the Michoacan State Governnt building.

The young governor, full of vigor, was unreserved in front of the cara: “The Duke of York’s words are extrely ridiculous. The British Royals should manage their lower half first and stop causing trouble everywhere, or else others might think it’s just a dog in clothes wandering around.”

The reporters were in an uproar, cara shutters clicked one after another.

Felix continued: “The United Kingdom has never been a civilized country, but rather the biggest thief in history. How much wealth did they plunder from other countries during the colonial period? How many artifacts did they steal? If they were truly civilized, they should return these items to the victimized countries, instead of standing on a moral high ground and accusing others.”

He pointed to the state governnt building behind him: “xico is indeed at war now, but we are self-defending. We want to host the Olympics to show the world that even amidst war, people still yearn for peace and unity. It’s far more noble than so countries plundering under the guise of civilization.”

Felix’s response was like a bomb, igniting public opinion.

Those supporting xico praised him for “daring to speak the truth,” while his opponents accused him of being “crude and disrespectful,” unbefitting of a politician’s dignity.

The British Royals reacted strongly, with Buckingham Palace issuing a statent saying Felix’s remarks were “disgusting” and demanded an apology from the xican Governnt.

The xico Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded: “Freedom of speech is a fundantal right. We respect everyone’s expression, including the Duke’s erroneous statents.”

The two sides engaged in a heated war of words before the caras. The dia was delighted, with new topics erging daily—from royal scandals to colonial history, from war responsibilities to Olympic qualifications. The scope of the debate widened, yet no one truly focused on the Olympics itself.

But there were always people willing to speak up with “positive words.”

On June 15, in Warsaw, the Presidential Palace.

The Polish President Lech Wasa publicly stated at a press conference: “The Olympics is a sporting feast for all humanity and should not be disturbed by politics and war. As a sovereign nation, xico has the right to compete for the Olympic hosting rights, and the international community should provide a fair chance, not baseless accusations.”

He also emphasized, “Poland has established economic cooperation relationships with xico, and we believe xico is capable of hosting a successful Olympics. The essence of sports lies in unity, not division.”

Wasa’s statent was not accidental.

Poland just hitched onto xico’s wagon, needing to support xico to strengthen their cooperative relationship while also seeking to enhance its voice on the international stage.

But the impact of these words far exceeded expectations. As a NATO country, Poland’s open support for the Europe-isolated xico ant that xico’s bid was not “wishful thinking,” backed by tangible political forces.
