Capítulo 1743: Chapter 779: By Any ans Necessary

Goring paused, “Additionally, in India, twenty minutes after the explosion news spread, their Foreign Minister ‘coincidentally’ made a public speech about ‘the need for responsible leaders for regional stability,’ which sounds as if it were prepared in advance.”

“Singing in harmony.”

Victor sneered, “Threatening letters, the Commonwealth Gas, and now direct action—a combination punch ant to knock out, sabotage the Olympics, and create chaos in xico.”

He stood up, “Let’s go to the live broadcast site; we need to reassure the public.”

At 7:50 p.m., in the news hall of the Governor’s Mansion in Belize City.

After a few tense hours of preparation, a simple yet solemn podium was set up against a backdrop of the flags of xico and Belize.

Caras focused on the podium.

The atmosphere was solemn, even a bit grave.

The whole world was waiting for confirmation—or an obituary.

At 8:00 p.m. sharp.

Victor, dressed in a simple white shirt with sleeves rolled up to his forearms, and without a tie, steadily walked to the podium from the side.

His face showed no signs of panic or fatigue after the ordeal, and his gaze was calm, even sharp, as it swept over the caras below.

Instantly, all the cara lights turned red, and the signal transmitted via satellite to xico, Latin Arica, and all corners of the world watching.

In the National Palace of xico City, Casare and other core mbers gathered in front of the screen.

At London Downing Street, the Pri Minister and his advisors were also watching, as were those in Warsaw, Ro, Paris, Berlin, New Delhi, and in the still-standing buildings of Washington D.C… countless pairs of eyes were fixed on the screen.

When they saw him appear, many could only sigh helplessly.

“F***, why is soone like this still alive?”

“Oh God!!”

Victor’s voice echoed through loudspeakers to the world:

“Good evening.”

“I’m sorry; I know many of you were looking forward to my demise, but I t God, and God was not welcoming of my arrival.”

He even cracked a joke.

“Just a few hours ago, at Belize International Airport, I was planning to take a flight back to xico City when an explosion occurred, completely destroying the plane.”

“Regrettably, several airport staff were also affected. Here, I express my condolences and unwavering support to them and their families.”

He paused for a second, staring directly into the main cara as if he could penetrate through the lens to see the distant hidden enemies and the hesitant watchers.

“This was a cowardly, blatant attack—a clumsy attempt at assassination against xico!”

“Why?”

He asked and answered himself, his speech accelerating with an imposing montum, “Because so people are scared, scared of xico’s unity and resurgence, scared of our people choosing their own path, scared of us establishing a new, fairer order on the North Arican ruins.”

“They are scared, so they use every ans. Militarily, their ‘Coalition Forces’ halted south of Gree City because their soldiers don’t want to die for others’ benefits; economically, they swooped like vultures, drawing concessions, grabbing resources, setting standards, aiming to turn North Arica once again into their colony and backyard; diplomatically, they engage in wooing, dividing, and intimidating, even resorting to filthy money, attempting to corrupt the purity of the Olympic spirit and divide world sports.”

He listed them one by one, without naming nas, but everyone knew who “they” were.

“Now, seeing that these ans have limited effects, seeing that xico is still moving forward, seeing that more countries are willing to cooperate with us, seeing that the Olympics are becoming a symbol of unity rather than division—”

Victor’s voice suddenly rose, firm and decisive, “They are desperate dogs! They’ve torn off the last fig leaf, resorting to the most despicable ans: assassination!”

“They think that by blowing up a plane, spreading a few rumors, they can shake xico, scare my people, drive away our friends, let our enemies cheer?”

Victor shook his head.

“They are wrong. Terribly wrong.”

“This despicable act will only unite the xican people more, strengthen our resolve, make us see clearly who the cowards hiding in the shadows are and who our legitimate competitors are—though the latter, it seems, can scarcely afford to lose now.”

“I want to solemnly tell those who plotted, carried out, funded this attack, and those clowns cheering for it: your plans have failed, your bombs cannot crush xico. Your rumors cannot deceive the world, your money cannot buy true loyalty and friendship.”

He slightly softened his tone, addressing a broader audience:

“I also want to say to all those who care about xico, who maintain friendly relations with us, and those friends who are still watching: xico’s situation is solid as a rock. My governnt is functioning normally, the military is loyal and reliable, and the people are united. All of our developnt plans, including preparations for the Olympics, will proceed full steam ahead without any impact.”

“To our soldiers, those Warriors safeguarding every inch of national territory, the nation will not forget your sacrifice and loyalty. I hereby announce that starting next month, all military personnel’s stipends and frontline danger allowances will increase by twenty percent! The sa increase applies to the compensation standards for all fallen and injured soldiers!”
