“Thirdly, and this is the most crucial piece of evidence,” Jeff paused, seemingly arranging his words, “The technical team isolated a special plasticizer stabilizer, code-nad ‘KX-7’, from the chemical components of the explosive residue found in the plane’s landing gear compartnt. This additive is neither a comrcial nor a common military explosive formula. According to our current intelligence and so information exchanged through special channels, ‘KX-7’ was a unique marker component of highly stable plastic explosives custom-made by the British Royal Arsenal in the late 1980s for its Special Forces and certain ‘field units’. This batch of explosives was produced in very small quantities, under extrely strict control, and theoretically, it should not have leaked out.”
“Theoretically?” Victor’s voice showed no emotion.
“Yes, theoretically,” Jeff replied. “But we’ve found it. Moreover, the residual circuit board fragnts of the detonator, though severely damaged, reverse analysis indicates that its design logic and the procurent channels of several non-standard components are linked to a prototype design ntioned in a procurent list partially leaked by MI6’s technical services division in 1988. That list was later classified as confidential by the British side, but through so archives from East Germany…”
“In other words.”
Victor interrupted him, “From the executor, interdiary contact model, to the source of the explosives, the technical characteristics of the detonator… all clues point towards British Intelligence?”
“The current chain of evidence we have strongly suggests this, Leader,” Jeff’s voice was very confident, “Although it’s not direct evidence—they wouldn’t leave such things behind—but overall, the suspicion is greatest on British Intelligence agencies. They have the capability, the motive, to disrupt the Olympics, undermine your authority, incite chaos in xico, and they have a history and tradition of using explosives of this level and origin.”

“That ‘Professor,’ can he be located?” Victor asked.
“Very difficult, the contact information provided by Rojas is single-line and may already be discarded. The ‘Professor’ has likely left Belize, and he might not even be in the Aricas anymore. We’re investigating through Interpol channels and so private connections to trace the chain of fake passport issuance for Kara, but this takes ti, and the other side must have conducted anti-tracking asures.”
“Kara is dead, the ‘Professor’ is missing, the evidence is all circumstantial.”
“The British can completely deny it, even bite back saying we forged the evidence.”
“Yes, Leader. That’s precisely the tricky part. We lack ‘irrefutable evidence’ to nail them down on the table. The explosion case itself, they can also push it to the ‘African Holy War United Front’ or so other organization, even though that threat letter now seems more like a smoke grenade.”
Victor leaned back on the chair, closing his eyes, his mind racing.
Declare war on Britain directly? That would be a madman.
Public accusation? Without solid evidence, it would only beco an international laughing stock, exacerbating tensions. Secret retaliation? Tooth for a tooth? The covert battles in the intelligence world have never ceased but must be ticulously planned, leaving no traces.
Victor spoke again, “Continue the investigation, seal all evidence, minimize the range of inford personnel.”
He paused for a mont, “I want to know who within the British intelligence system orchestrated this operation. Which specific departnt, which faction? What’s their follow-up plan? In xico, are there any other lurking ‘Kara’ or ‘Professor’? Especially in the segnts related to the Olympic preparations, sift through it at all costs.”
“Understood, Leader.”
Jeff replied, “We will adjust our direction, enhance monitoring of British intelligence personnel activities in the region, and attempt reverse penetration to gather more internal information.”
Victor added, “Pay attention to safety. The other side is a professional intelligence agency. They may take other actions since I didn’t get on the plane, or they may be more aggressive in cleaning up traces. You and key investigators, strengthen security asures.”
“Yes, Leader.”
After hanging up the phone, Victor sat alone in the study, the British hand had brazenly reached over, nearly costing him his life.
