Capítulo 1897: Chapter 811: I Lost? No—We Won!

He finally shouted, “Glory belongs to the Indian Navy! Glory belongs to the great India!” Then, surrounded by the generals, he quickly left the press conference, leaving behind a room full of stunned and skeptical journalists.

The news spread at an astonishing speed. Indian dostic dia went into frenzy, all channels interrupted regular programming to broadcast the “glorious news” of the “Indian Navy heroically defeating xican invaders,” with street celebrations erging spontaneously, and nationalism reaching unprecedented heights. Many international dia outlets, not knowing the truth, were baffled by this sudden “twist” and began cautiously citing the Indian governnt’s statent.

Until…

A few hours later, xican National Television (TVM) and several major international news channels suddenly aired a fifteen-minute, ticulously edited “special report on the Bay of Bengal incident.”

The report began with high-definition footage: a clear blue sea, with the xican fleet sailing elegantly. Then, the Indian fleet approached, the radio warnings were intense. Following this, the clear footage and audio of the “Lanville” opening fire. Next ca the shocking shots of the “Ganga” being struck by a torpedo, violently exploding, billowing smoke, and the ship spinning, fild from multiple angles, including drone aerials.

Then, the “Lanville” was hit by an anti-ship missile, a giant fireball engulfed the superstructure in slow-motion playback, detailed shots of the ship tilting, and personnel escaping in panic.

Finally, the footage showed a xican “Sea King” helicopter rescuing the Indian sailors from the water, xican sailors pulling the shivering, oily-faced Indian wounded aboard, offering dical assistance, with the “Ganga” slowly sinking and the “Lanville” burning in the background. The narration calmly described the tiline and demonstrated radar screens and communication records inside the “Kukulkan” CIC (sensitive parts processed).

The report ended with Admiral ndoza standing on the bridge of the “Kukulkan,” looking at the silhouette of the distant Indian coastline, the voice-over calmly stating, “We ca to this sea for friendship and cooperation. But if anyone mistakes our restraint for weakness and uses force first, then the xican Navy is capable and determined to swiftly and decisively end any threat.”

Like a bombshell, this report exploded in the global opinion arena. Its clarity, completeness of records, and stark contrast thoroughly shattered India’s flawed “victory declaration.”

The world suddenly realized: it wasn’t India that “heroically repelled enemies,” but rather India provoked first, then was quickly and decisively crippled by xico with overwhelming technological and tactical superiority in minutes!

Public opinion reversed instantly. The international community was in an uproar, waves of ridicule, criticism, and doubt surged toward New Delhi.

The Indian governnt plunged into unprecedented embarrassnt and chaos. The people who were just celebrating “victory” seed to be drenched in ice water from head to toe, watching in disbelief their ships being wrecked and images of xicans’ “humane rescue” on television. The fervor of nationalism instantly turned into a volcano of humiliation and anger, with the focus beginning to shift from external to internal…

On the sa day, London, 10 Downing Street.

The Pri Minister looked at the xican report on television, then at India’s earlier “victory declaration,” his expression was spectacular, first stunned, then uncontrollably, almost pathologically laughing.

“Hahaha… cough… my God!” His laughter made him cough, tears ca out, “Indians… how can Indians be… so stupid?! They think they’re still fighting wars with ox carts and spears? Broadcasting live defeat, yet dare to boast of victory? Do they think the whole world is blind?!”

Graham stood aside, without a smile, his face showed more seriousness: “Pri Minister, this precisely illustrates the chaos within India and the uncontrollable extre nationalism. Such blatant denial can only further damage its international credibility, and may also force the Gujral governnt to take more risky actions to divert conflicts.”

The Pri Minister’s laughter gradually faded, he wiped the tears from his eyes, but his gaze still full of mockery: “More risky? How can they risk more? Provoking xico again? Or creating trouble for us? However… this is an opportunity.”

He walked to the map, tapping the Indian subcontinent: “India lost face this ti, Gujral’s dream of being the ‘leader of the global south’ is totally shattered. Those forr colony countries he stirred up, perhaps they’re feeling uncertain now? A ‘leader’ who doesn’t dare to admit the real battle situation, who would dare to follow him?”

“What do you an?” Graham asked.

“Let the Foreign Ministry issue a statent,” a calculating glint flashed in the Pri Minister’s eyes, “expressing ‘serious concern’ over the tension in the Bay of Bengal, calling on all parties to exercise restraint, respect facts and international law. The tone should be neutral, but can ‘inadvertently’ quote certain ‘objective facts’ from the xican report. Also, privately, we can sound out our Commonwealth allies still engaging with us, ask what they think of India’s… ‘unique battle reporting style’.”

He paused, looking toward Scotland: “By the way, how did McTavish react in Scotland?”

“He issued a brief statent, urging all parties to peacefully resolve the disputes, again emphasizing that Scotland will handle foreign relations with a ‘pragmatic and responsible’ attitude,” Graham reported. “But according to our intelligence, within the Scottish transitional governnt, they are very… impressed by the military power xico demonstrated, especially its reaction speed and operational efficiency. This might influence their future tendencies in defense cooperation.”
