Tijuana, City Hall.

xico City didn’t send down a governor, so Cuauhtémoc had Victor act as the interim governor.

Interim!

That doesn’t an a raise in salary.

Does this amount to the military and political power being concentrated in one hand?

In Tijuana, many people are already saying that Victor might now be a dictator, but he hasn’t yet had his signature "mont."

For example, in 1979, the "Middle East Lion" stood on the stage, puffing on a cigar, and called out 68 nas to the hundreds of officials below.

Out of these people, 22 were taken directly out of the conference room and shot.

Victor hasn’t done anything this crazy; at most, you could only say he’s the "Military Council."

"Alejandro’s funeral will be held as a state funeral. When the ti cos, have xico City send the vice president over. You’ll be fully in charge, and the ashes will be interred on Guadalupe Island..." Victor paused as he spoke while smoking a cigar, "Bury them in Tijuana National Cetery."

The latter’s expression changed.

Is this a definitive judgent?

In other words, Alejandro wouldn’t be discarded in the cetery as a traitor, but would rather be buried with the status of governor, and a national funeral would be held.

Isn’t Victor angry?

Casare didn’t think so; the quieter the boss, the more he gathered the thunder and fire of wrath.

Guadalupe Island ant sothing different; clearly hiding him there signified that death wouldn’t earn his forgiveness.

"Has his wife and son returned?"

Fat Casare busily bowed his head, "They have returned."

Victor didn’t speak again, just smoked his cigarette, but his breathing noticeably intensified, "Find an accident, and send them off."

Kill!

Casare actually didn’t have much affection for Alejandro, but upon hearing this, he still raised his head to look at the boss and slowly nodded.

"Leave it to ."

Victor was very spiteful. You, Alejandro, wanted to kill with the CIA, and now you commit suicide? It’s just a way to take all the bla onto yourself. Do you think I will play by the rules?

To hell with the rules!

My rules are the rules!

Send your wife and children to see you.

Victor understood then, those white-eyed wolves that you can’t raise to be familiar must be completely eradicated!

"Make it clean, don’t let them suffer too much."

This was already "civilized" for Victor.

Casare nodded, squinting his eyes.

"I plan to draw a new intelligence agency from inside the xico News Departnt to deal with the increasingly severe infiltration by the CIA!"

Victor surely didn’t trust there were no traitors inside.

Especially with the CIA, so fond of recruiting lackeys; you have to admire their dog-raising skills.

But if you dare to keep dogs, Victor dared to kill!

Perhaps it was ti to start placing "his people" in vital departnts gradually.

Casare’s eyebrows twitched. Could it be the boss wants to carry out an internal purge???

This… is going to result in another bunch of deaths!

Knock knock knock~

There ca a knock at the door.

"Co in," Victor said as he picked up his teacup and took a sip.

Jason Bourne entered with a gravely serious expression, "Boss, the FBI cornered the CIA right at their doorstep, and a shootout ensued. William Webster was shot dead."

"Pff!"

Victor spat out his drink, giving Casare across from him an unsolicited "face wash."

"Sorry, sorry, wipe it yourself." He handed over the tissue paper from the table and looked at Jason Bourne, "Is the news accurate?"

"The United States has not acknowledged it, but the FBI has urgently switched directors, and our informant in Virginia says there’s a 90% chance it’s true."

This ti, Victor was genuinely stunned.

I only wanted to cause so trouble for the CIA, did the FBI really have to be so brave to go and kill their leader?

This was unprecedented in hundreds of years of history!

Without precedent, and there would be no followers. Usually, the two groups fought deadly wars, limited to grassroots personnel. Many tis they had shootouts on the streets, but as soon as local police showed up, they’d quickly run off.

Good lord, truly a good lord!

Victor couldn’t help but laugh out loud, "Sorry, I can imagine the joke this would make if the news spread all over the world."

"The FBI and CIA are currently quite chaotic internally, and we’ve also received two pieces of intelligence from Colombian sources. Pablo has sent an assassination squad to kill Casare, but the good news is the team leader is Ethan Hunt, who has gained Pablo’s trust," Jason Bourne said.

Casare, still wiping his face, widened his eyes at the news and waved his hand, "Why ?"

"Perhaps they think you’re easy to bully," Jason replied.

Casare really panicked when he heard this; he wasn’t ready to die yet, and he looked at Victor with pleading eyes, "Boss~"

"Step up security. Ethan Hunt knows his limits. Tijuana isn’t a place where they can co and go as they please," Victor reassured.

Jason Bourne glanced at the other party, "The second piece of news, Colombian drug traffickers want to blow up the Statue of Liberty!"

Victor imdiately sat up straight after hearing this, and Casare also started, and then blurted out in shock, "Have they gone mad?"

"Perhaps Pablo’s head has been squeezed by a woman’s buttocks!" Jason Bourne shrugged.

"Is this reliable?"

"Ethan knows this through an inside source; there’s a high probability. Boss, should we notify the FBI?"

Victor squinted his eyes, his mind rapidly turning as he weighed the pros and cons.

Informing the FBI could lead to two possibilities: one, the other side wouldn’t believe the xicans at all. What are you guys, with an intelligence departnt? And you got information from Colombia?

Or they might agree, but the new director taking office would not conduct one-on-one investigations against every Colombian. What he’d need to do was settle the ss with the CIA first,

Drug traffickers blowing up the Statue of Liberty?

Are you joking?

But if we didn’t tell them and the Statue of Liberty really was blown up, even if it didn’t collapse, it would be like slapping the Yanks right in the face.

The FBI and CIA would both be humiliated!

And at this ti, the Aricans are embroiled in the Gulf War. In fact, when the war began, the "Middle East Lion" had expressed a willingness to negotiate and resolve the issue, willing to stroke the Arican ego for a bit, but their aircraft carriers, planes, and tens of thousands of fools had all assembled, so they couldn’t just not fight.

Uncle Sam: "Be a good boy, stick out your butt, let give you a spanking!"

Once a war starts, it can’t just end on command.

And in the midst of this, if a landmark were to be bombed, with the temper of the Yanks, they would certainly seek revenge. They are already full of rage from internal issues, but their hands are tied up, unable to respond themselves.

But would Ah n then support soone else?

Such as... their neighbor, xico itself!

Thinking this, Victor’s eyes suddenly lit up.

He had always been operating under the guise of anti-drug enforcent.

And he could also get so military aid from the Yanks!

His heart was thumping with excitent; this explosion could potentially be the tailwind he needed for his power to rapidly grow.

Could this... be the turn of national fortune?

It’s really kind of mystical, just like how Kennedy said he wouldn’t let certain people have the atomic bomb while he was alive.

Well, then he died.

Now, I could just take this opportunity to rise to power!

I need to think this through, what should I do first?

Should I get a statent ready in advance, to denounce this act the mont Lady Liberty falls?

Then, I could make Cuauhtémoc fly the flag at half-mast nationwide, mourning the incident that befell the other party, directly branding myself as a "cooperative and reliable" ally.

This is how you score impression points!

Being so close to the United States and not clinging to their coattails, would I rather turn to the Soviets?

"Boss..." Jason Bourne called out softly.

"This matter... keep it to yourself; no one is allowed to speak of it!" Victor said sternly.

"But what if the Statue of Liberty collapses..." Casare hesitated.

"What’s that got to do with us, did you blow it up?"

Victor’s eyelids drooped, "What we need to consider is, if this really did happen, what we would gain from it. Even if The Pentagon got bombed, it’s not our concern; I didn’t do it after all."

Casare glanced at Jason Bourne.

"Swallow this matter, anyone who leaks it out," Victor paused, speaking ominously, "I’ll send him to et Alejandro!"

Both n sensed the gravity in their boss’s voice and nodded vigorously.

Victor chuckled.

He pulled out a cigarette for them, "Don’t be nervous. Have a cigarette. Do I really seem that scary?"

Casare laughed awkwardly, "Not at all, boss, you look kind and friendly!"

Provided...

You don’t get on his bad side.

...

New York’s Liberty Island.

There isn’t much fun to be had at this place, apart from the Statue of Liberty holding up the torch, which itself was a gift from the French, commorating the 100th anniversary of the United States.

Why is this thing so valuable?

Perhaps it adds a significant shine to the few pieces of history that the United States has.

A bunch of Colombians blend into the tourist area, but they overlook one thing!

This place is swarming with foreign tourists, heads scattered as far as the eye can see. They are shoved to the side repeatedly, while nearby, local police chat and laugh together, paying no attention to the crowd.

This gives the criminals the chance they need to slowly approach the Statue of Liberty.

A group of South Aricans make eye contact with one another in the crowd. A man with a fu manchu and green clothes shoves the tourists in front of him, revealing a vicious face, and pulls out a tied-up bomb from his bosom and hurls it at the Statue of Liberty!

"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing!" a sharp-eyed policeman yelled out.

That bomb fell at the feet of Lady Liberty, and boom!!!

The bomb’s force, courtesy of Spain’s ETA, was unequivocal; the intense explosion visibly shook the statue.

The tourists scread and ran; chaos ensued among the crowd!

Policen rushed over but were pushed to the side by the frenzied mob.

"Long live Pablo!"

"Long live the North Arican Drug Syndicate!"

"Death to the Yanks, long live the Colombians!"

About a dozen people roared out from different directions, pulling out bombs; one even strapped to himself and sprinted towards the remains of Lady Liberty, but in a matter of seconds, the man exploded.

Limbs flew into the sky, and blood rained down like a shower.

The rest began throwing their bombs.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

"Run! The arm of the Lady... has broken off!!!"

Soone bellowed, and upon seeing the torch-bearing arm crack open and then, under the horrified gaze of everyone, plumt down!

How heavy was that arm?

Definitely tens of tons!

It smashed to the ground and onto the tourists who didn’t manage to escape, crushing them into an indistinguishable ss, the carnage extending to a large swath of people, incessant wailing filled the air.

Drug traffickers! They’re bastards!

They show no humanity!

The bastards cheered, their eyes wild and frenzied as they rushed toward what was left of the structure, determined to completely obliterate the landmark!

The thugs from South Arica were set to desecrate Lady Liberty today!
