Chapter 909: Chapter 478: Life Will Get Better, Right?_2

“Knock knock knock~”

Victor turned his head, “Co in.”

Secretary Traudl Junge walked in, “General.”

“What’s the matter?”

“There are so nas on the Ren Lian application here that you need to personally review.”

She handed over the docunt as she spoke.

Victor raised his brow slightly. He opened the docunt and imdiately saw the letters: “PRC!”

!!!

This was the only nation that, even when the United Nations ostracized xico and all diplomatic staff vacated, remained steadfast.

Although they didn’t offer much help during the US-xico War, sotis that in itself represents a certain stance.

Victor thought it was necessary to bind their relationship even deeper…

Because, after xico offended the United States, its economic growth would surely slow down or face sanctions in particular areas.

The Aricans lost the war, but they wouldn’t stop infiltrating and undermining xico…

If xico’s overall GDP couldn’t rise, perhaps no one would bla Victor now, but ten or twenty years from now?

And 1992 happened to be the mont when the Eastern economy was booming. The population dividend and reform would cause money to fly everywhere.

Victor wasn’t an idiot!

If they didn’t seize this opportunity now, when else could they?

“Help contact their ambassador and invite him to dinner,” Victor said as he glanced at his watch.

Secretary Traudl Junge nodded, “Understood, General.”

She waited for a mont, and when she saw that Victor had no further instructions, she left the office.

Victor sat in his chair, opened his computer, and posted the following line on a xican Governnt-hosted forum called “World Turmoil”:

A new struggle has begun!

7 P.M.

The banquet hall of the National Palace.

Victor t with “certain people,” accompanied by Casare and Kennedy.

During their exchanges, the conversation was lively; Victor praised the other party, while they lauded his defiance of tyranny.

It seed like a joyous occasion for both host and guest.

Soon, the discussion moved to the key topic.

“I understand your side is implenting economic reforms. We greatly appreciate your approach. I wonder, is there a chance for collaboration in the comrcial sector?”

The elegant ambassador with glasses lit up, “Of course. We welco any friends who love peace and respect us to join.”

Victor nodded with a smile while cutting his steak, “We plan to invest 20 billion US Dollars across Shencheng, Yandu, and more than ten cities!”

Clang~

The knife and fork in the ambassador’s hand suddenly dropped to the ground. Startled, he hurried to retrieve them, but the attendant beside him had already picked them up and replaced them.

“My apologies…”

Victor spread his hands apologetically, still smiling.

20 billion US Dollars was a colossal sum no matter the location, let alone the Eastern region of 1992.

At that ti, households earning tens of thousands were surely the envy of all.

“This is only the initial investnt. Over the next decade, xico is aiming to invest over 100 billion US Dollars!”

After all…

The compensation from the Yanks had been extensive. Why leave it sitting idle when it could be invested?

The remaining funds were more than sufficient for xico’s dostic developnt.

“We certainly welco investnts from xico. However, given the magnitude of this sum, I’ll need to report it to my superiors.”

“Of course, it’s not a small amount,” Victor said understandingly, nodding slightly. “As a GC-oriented nation, we need to learn from the Soviet Union’s experience while supporting each other, especially when facing the United States.”

“I don’t believe I’ve defeated the U.S. I’ve rely won a temporary respite for xico. I still need to keep advancing to curb Arica’s ambitions. Don’t you agree that a comrade capable of shielding you from the storm is very suited for mutual aid?”

His words hit the mark!

The Cuba-xico alliance had already made Arica cautious about extending its reach into Southeast Asia fearfully, worried they might not be able to retract it later.

And now, the East lacked one thing most critically: ti!

“Post-war xico needs to focus on improving livelihoods, from subways and airports to highways, national roads, and even residential communities. This cake is so large that we can share half of it with you.”

The ambassador’s expression grew solemn as he nodded slowly. The cake was indeed tempting, but it also carried considerable risks…

“Please allow so ti.”

Victor nodded, “Of course. This is rely an informal discussion.”

After so scheming pursuits in their minds, the dinner concluded. The ambassador left hastily, his steps noticeably rushed, evidently eager to report this matter imdiately.

100 billion US Dollar investnt!!

It would take decades or even longer to clean up.

At this mont, only Victor, Casare, and Kennedy remained in the banquet hall, smoking and with mixed expressions.

“Boss, is it really necessary? That place is reportedly severely isolated, and its economy is weak… Investing that much—if we lose…”

Casare was the only one direct enough to say so.

Victor glanced at him, “Do you know how large their population is?”

“Do you know the size of their land?”

“Do you realize what it ans to have a large population?”

Casare sheepishly laughed and shook his head.

“They have 9.6 million square kiloters of land and over 1 billion people, more than the whole of Europe combined. Such a massive population ans there’s an urgent need for everything, from daily necessities to other industries. We must seize this market while it’s still open!”

Victor held out his hand, “Don’t rely on judgnt, experience, or what the dia says. We need to explore, to pursue, to understand for ourselves. Do you get it?”

Kennedy and Casare exchanged glances. Though they nodded, they both seed… unconvinced.

Victor didn’t elaborate further, rely flashing a mysterious smile and continuing to smoke.
