Chapter 920: Chapter 483: The Victor Becos King, the Defeated Beco Bandits!! I Don’t Accept This!!!

Embezzling compensation paynts!

Charging “taxes” to the families of fallen soldiers!

There are thods in the outside world, but the military has its own laws!

Roml of the Fourth Army made call after call to the division headquarters, cursing person after person.

“If you can’t fix this, then I’ll fix you—retire on the spot!”

This was intolerable; the four divisions and the Guard Division imdiately began internal clean-ups of corruption.

anwhile, other armies sensed sothing was wrong because this wasn’t an isolated incident!

The 179th Division of the Fifth Army had been marked for “Combat Vanguard” honors due to its fierce performance during the US Navy’s beach landing assaults, and the entire division was about to be credited with First-Class rit. Just as they were on the brink of collective glory—

A major incident occurred!

At the doorstep of the division headquarters, the grandfather and wife of a soldier who died in the “Sotolamarina Beach Landing” brought three chickens and a goat.

Under the puzzled gazes of passersby and sentries, they knelt directly to the ground!

The elderly man began bowing to the ground ferociously…

While the soldier’s wife wailed, “Officer, this is all we have left from our ho. It’s all yours—please, give my husband’s compensation paynt.”

Every word carried the weight of blood and tears!

Stunned!

The sentries at the entrance were completely dumbfounded, unsure of what to do. Passersby stared wide-eyed in shock at the unfolding scene…

If smartphones existed now, you could bet this would’ve been trending instantly!

But even without them, the pain was unbearable.

At that mont, Vice Admiral Luigi Cardona of the Fifth Army happened to be visiting to offer condolences—what a spectacle…

It was like the sky had exploded.

Otto Moritz Walter Model and several senior officers accompanying him turned pale, then darkened, and finally flushed purple.

The Vice Admiral left with a cold expression, muttering ominously, “You’re playing with the General’s life!”

The evaluation for First-Class rit for the 179th Division was “temporarily suspended” by the Fifth Army.

Otto Moritz Walter Model’s personal awards and title evaluations were also suspended.

Destroying soone’s career is as cruel as killing their parents…

“Assemble the Guard Battalion!”

Upon hearing the news, the furious division commander led his n to surround the Tamaulipas State administrative office.

Reportedly…

100mm caliber cannons were aid directly at the office.

And on May 5th—

The Military Newspaper of xico published an article titled: “Don’t Let Heroes Shed Both Blood and Tears!”

It included the following line:

“We have traitors among us, trying to burn the hard-won fruits of our labor to the ground! For their own selfish desires, they wish to walk the old path again. The xican Army will never allow it, nor will the people of xico!”

The entire army was shaken!

On May 6th—

The xican National Television News aired the story at 7 PM, igniting public outrage. The masses were furious, demanding harsh punishnt for those behind the scenes!

At the foot of Tepeya Mountain, in the Departnt of Defense.

The office of the Director of Logistics and Pension Affairs!

Everett Webster paced back and forth frantically. Though he had previously assured Kennedy “Don’t panic,” he was now the very picture of panic—more than anyone else!

Bang bang bang~

Knocking sounds echoed.

“Who’s there!”

He turned sharply like a frightened bird.

“Long live the 442th Regint!” Soone outside said in a low voice.

Everett Webster’s eyes lit up instantly. He hurried to open the door, finding two… Lieutenants standing outside.

“Quick, co in!”

“Were you sent by Vice Admiral Vasili? Does this an—he has a solution?”

The slogan “Long live the 442th Regint” was popular among a faction of mutinous officers from the Original 442th Regint. They had ford an organization built on mutual aid and ntorship, wielding significant influence within the military, particularly the Fourth Army.

Upon hearing Everett’s inquiry, the two Lieutenants exchanged glances.

“General Everett, Vice Admiral Vasili says he’s been kind to you. He hopes you’ll take responsibility yourself.”

Everett Webster froze, his expression darkening imdiately. “What do you an? He wants to take the fall?”

“He’s betraying …”

“General, you were placed in this position through Vasili’s arrangents. Your wife and children enjoy their current lives because of his care. You should be grateful.” One of the Lieutenants with a sharp chin reprimanded him sternly.

The tone sounded like a reminder, but wasn’t it also a veiled threat?

Everett Webster’s pupils contracted. He fell silent instantly, collapsing to the ground like his spirit had been drained…

“I… I’ll turn myself in.”

After a long pause, he finally choked out his despairing reply.

“Dead n don’t talk too much.” One of them said, squinting.

Before Everett could react, the two lunged at him—one covering his mouth, the other grabbing his legs—and began dragging him toward the window!

“What are you doing? Stop! I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die!”

He cried out and struggled, but the effort only angered them further; one punched him squarely on the forehead, leaving him dazed and weak-limbed.

The window was shoved open…

Like throwing a pig, they shoved him forcefully!

“AAAH!!!”

Downstairs, employees were busy working, sipping coffee. Soone casually glanced outside and spotted a figure plumting downward.

Then—thud—a heavy crash filled the air.

?

??

“Ah!! Soone jumped! Soone jumped out!” One employee spat out their coffee in shock and rushed to the window. The entire office gathered, heads popping out to see below…

And there lay Everett Webster, sprawled on the ground in a “大” shape, his lifeless eyes wide open as blood pooled around him.

Several female staff mbers scread in terror at the sight.

The two Lieutenants glanced down briefly before straightening overturned furniture. Then, without hesitation, they prepared to leave.
