Leon spent so ti alone, checking his own status interface and making so ti adjustnts to his stats.
’Now...’
Walking over to the door, he stepped outside, surprised to find Cassie standing by the door. She didn’t look like she was about to enter, which puzzled him.
"Hm? Why are you standing here?"
The girl imdiately turned to him, her eyes carrying great respect.
"I... I just thought you might need soone in case you wanted to get sothing. Besides, you’re currently in a vulnerable state and..."
Leon blinked as she fell silent, looking at her like she was a strange person.
"Really?"
Cassie’s lips twitched, and she subconsciously lowered her head, "Yes."
"Aww~ This girl would make a good guard dog. I can assure you." Thyra purred, looking at the girl with a wide smile.
Leon ignored her derogatory comnt and focused on the girl.
"Alright. I need you to help call Fel over."
Cassie nodded, then imdiately walked away. Leon returned into the room.
A minute later, the door was knocked softly, then he heard Cassie’s voice.
"Boss, she’s here."
Leon was sitting in a chair when he heard this, and he nodded.
"Co in."
The door clicked open softly, and Fel walked inside with timid steps. She raised her head and looked at him, her hazel eyes glinting.
"Boss?"
Leon raised his right hand and gestured for her to co closer.
The girl obliged—hesitantly.
He was a little confused, wondering why she seed nervous than usual. However, Thyra understood.
"Sigh, you’re really strange, Little Leon." She smiled wryly. "Don’t you know how dark the world is now? This is the perfect opportunity for a human’s darkest desire to reign. If you wanted, you could force yourself on her. And that’s what scares her."
Leon frowned. ’Why would I do that? It would only reduce her efficiency. Besides, I think my ti with Thyra has increased my resistance to human beauty a bit.’
When Fel finally got close, he handed her the Basic Ability Upgrade Card.
"Use this. Also, how many free stat point to you have?"
This surprised the girl, as it wasn’t what she had been expecting. She took a look at the card, then accepted it.
After reading through, she asked. "I... should really use this on my ability? It feels expensive."
Leon waved casually. "Just use it. There’s nothing like expensive currently. Only useful and important."
Fel pressed her lips tightly and nodded. "Alright. As for my free stat points, I have around 18."
"Add 15 into your Mana stats. Then use this card. I want you to try your healing ability on my injured arm." He explained, leaning into the chair and waiting for her.
"Oh..." Fel’s eyes widened in realization, and she imdiately did as she was told.
The card glowed in her hand, then disappeared with a flash. In her stats, Fel saw a new addition.
[Na - Feline Auburn]
[Class - None]
[Level - 12]
[Race - Human]
[AGL - 40]
[STR - 34]
[STA - 29]
[Mana - (48/48)]
[Stat points - 18]
[Abilities - [Tier One Healing] [Poisonous Cloud] ]
[Observation: A coward with strange conviction]
In the past, her ability was only called ’Lesser Healing’. Now, the na had changed, and it looked like a proper ability.
"Done?"
Leon’s voice snapped her back to reality, and she imdiately assigned the stat points, raising her mana stats to 58.
Once she was done, she looked at him and nodded.
Using his chin, Leon gestured at his hand that was carefully placed on the table, "Go on."
Fel understood and nodded. She stepped closer, then placed her two hands on his.
’Heal.’
A soft green light spilled from her hands, and Leon was imdiately filled with an annoyingly irritating itch that made him want to stop whatever she was doing.
He kept his mouth shut, glaring down at the arm that tensed and trembled.
Sohow, he could feel so of his crushed bones being reattached to each other, and that process was what caused the itch.
It went on for about a full minute until Fel’s expression turned pale.
She imdiately stopped using her ability and supported herself with the table.
Her face had gone pale, and her entire body felt weak. This was the consequence of running out of mana completely.
Leon observed his wrist carefully. Although he still felt pains, it was better than before, and he could move it slightly.
’If she repeats this for three to four days, then I will be completely healed.’
He smiled, feeling that he had done the right thing by giving her the Basic Ability Upgrade Card.
Finally, he turned to the girl, noting her condition.
"Thank you. I can see you used up all of your Mana points. Next ti, stop when its about to get completely drained."
The girl nodded, already recovering slightly. Recovering mana was simple and sothing passive for every evolver. Though, the rate at which they recovered mana differed from each other.
"Alright. You can go now. You should rest."
Leon dismissed her, and she walked away obediently. Just before she stepped out, he said sothing that made her chest tighten.
"Fel. Until I am fully healed, or I asked you to, do not use your ability on anyone else. Understood?"
She froze, and without looking back, she nodded.
The instant she left the room, she sighed in relief. Her fears hadn’t co true.
’He didn’t even look at that way. Have I beco unattractive?’
Before the Star Stream began the evolution of Earth, she had been a secret cosplayer who only appeared online.
She had a lot of fans and people who wanted to find her, but she hid herself well using her timid personality as a good cover.
’Boss seems different. He might be good... unlike my father.’
"Fel? Why are you zoning out?"
Hearing Cassie’s voice, she jolted and finally realized the black-haired girl was standing before her.
"O-oh. It’s nothing. I... I need so rest. Um... bye!"
She walked away briskly, leaving Cassie confused.
However, she just shrugging and returned to her post. What concerned her was ensuring Leon was safe and comfortable.
’If I beco valuable enough... then I’ll be able to ask for his help.’
