Leon looked up to see Fel rushing at him, her face colored with panic. Seeing him covered in blood, she imdiately stopped before him and tried to heal him.
"Wait. Not ," He grabbed her hands and stopped her, gesturing at Selene instead.
"Oh," Fel blinked, glancing at the girl lying in the chair. "But, you—"
"I’ll be fine. Heal her first," Leon said, nodding faintly.
The girl nodded ekly, then crouched by Selene’s side. Leon glanced at Reymond who was pacing around the reception hall, then crouched beside Fel.
"It’s her arm that was injured. Let check if the bones are properly arranged before you start."
He said, then grabbed Selene’s arm. The girl winced, but her expression didn’t change.
Pressing his thumb against her skin, he tried to get a feel of her bones, feeling the cracks and how severe the cracks were.
After a minute, he stopped and said to Fel, "Go ahead."
The brown-haired girl nodded, then brought her hands together, a few inches away from Selene’s injured arm.
"Heal..." She muttered.
Her hands glowed softly, and Selene’s expression contorted, feeling her bones being knitted back together.
The healing process continued for two minutes until Fel stopped.
"I... I don’t have much mana any longer."
Leon’s gaze lingered on her, and he nodded, "Good job."
Turning to the other girl, he asked, "Can you move?"
She humd softly, then sat up, using her uninjured arm as a support.
Reymond imdiately walked over, biting on his finger. "Are you alright, Selene?"
She looked at him and gave him a reassuring nod, causing him to sigh in relief. More footsteps could be heard rushing down the stairs, and the others appeared.
Gwen hurried to Selene’s side, concern etched on her face as she checked her friend.
"Boss?!" Cassie gasped in shock as soon as she saw him. "Are you alright? Fel, quick! Treat him!"
The brown-haired girl shook her head, and said with a dejected expression, "No mana."
Cassie’s expression hardened, "Why? Isn’t boss the priority?"
Leon raised a hand to stop the girl.
Then, he said, "Gwen, help Selene get back to the room. Everyone else should also return to their rooms. We’ll talk tomorrow."
There was a mont of silence, then Gwen nodded. Putting Selene’s arm around her neck, she helped her stand up properly.
"You... are you sure you’re alright?" She asked him, staring at the dent and holes in his breastplate.
He nodded, causing her to sigh, "Alright."
She imdiately took Selene upstairs, while the others lingered behind.
After calming down from his panicked state, Reymond finally noticed Leon’s condition.
"Hey, shouldn’t you get so healing too? Your state... looks even worse."
Leon waved dismissively and said, "It’s unnecessary for now. You should also head upstairs."
Reymond’s lips twitched, but he complied. He patted Leon’s shoulder, then went upstairs too.
Leon finally turned to his own team who were all looking at him with concerned gazes.
"What? Do you all think I’d die from this? I don’t have any serious injuries. I only need a good bath and so rest. You all should be the ones sleeping."
Richard gulped, his gaze on the dent on Leon’s breastplate.
"But, boss. You... why did you go out alone? We could have helped you or sothing."
Leon’s gaze shifted to him with seriousness. "Help ? Richard, what help can you provide against a Level 36 beast?"
The guy’s mouth hung open in shock, and he couldn’t help but feel like he had heard wrongly.
The others were equally stunned as they processed what he had just said.
Level 36?! That was more than twice their current levels!
Marie’s expression hardened, and she thought to herself. ’We’re still so weak. I can’t believe we’ve gotten so relaxed.’
She realized that there was a ntality that the squad shared, and that was the fact that they couldn’t get as strong as Leon, Selene, or Reymond.
’And that’s wrong. We can surely reach their level if we grind hard enough.’
Her grey eyes hardened with determination, and she roughly grabbed Richard and Miguel by their shoulders.
"It’s alright, boss. We understand," She said to Leon, then said to the others. "We should all return to our rooms. Tomorrow will be a long day."
They all nodded reluctantly, then headed up the stairs. Leon followed behind them. Glancing back, he saw Little West trailing behind him.
The mutated cat’s behavior made him rember that he was still holding the Grimhowl Wolf’s head.
Clicking his tongue, he pulled out its soul crystal and tossed the head to Little West. The mutated cat imdiately closed its jaws around the head and went back downstairs.
Holding the crystal in his hand, Leon returned to his room and locked the door behind him.
Taking off the dented armor and the combat gear he wore underneath, he went into the bathroom to wash the blood and sweat off himself. Thankfully, Thyra didn’t tease him this ti, so he had a peaceful bath.
Erging from the bathroom, he saw her patiently sitting in a chair. Giving her a glance, he put on his shirt, then sat at the edge of the bed, placing the two rewards they had gotten from killing the Grimhowl Wolf.
He checked the scroll first, reading through its description with a serious expression.
[Ability: Lethal Charge - By consuming 30 mana points, the user can flash-step and attack a targeted opponent in under a second. The user’s speed is automatically doubled while using the ability]
Leon was subtly impressed, rolling the scroll in his palm.
’Marie doesn’t have an ability yet. This should be a good one for her.’
Nodding, he set the scroll aside, then picked up the treasure cube.
He easily crushed it in his hand, and a gold crown appeared in his hand, "Oh?"
Holding it, he checked its information.
[Silvan Crown]
[Rank: Tier One]
[Enchantnt: All elental abilities are strengthened by 50%]
[Durability: 80/80]
[Description: A crown forged for the Elental Spirit King using the Divine Gold tal—Silvan]
Leon felt surprised by the fact that it was a Tier One treasure, and he was montarily filled with the desire to monopolize it.
However, that would be completely irrational. Selene had helped him in fighting the beast. If he claid all the rewards, it would only cause problems.
’I already decided to give Marie that ability. So, I’ll just have to give this to Selene. What a loss.’
Placing the crown on the bedside table, he took out the two scrolls he had extracted from the wolf, observing them with anticipation.
