"We’re here," The burly man said, gesturing towards a door before them.
’This was probably one of the offices in the warehouse before,’ Leon thought as he turned the knob and entered the office.
Surprisingly, the room was lavish. There was a large, king-sized bed in the office, including a luxurious red cushion on which three people sat on.
A man with a clearly defined physique sat shirtless, radiating an aura of confidence. His head was bald, and his eyes glead sharply like those of a cunning beast.
On both sides sat two beautiful won—popular actresses that had been simped for by thousands of n before the apocalypse. Now, however, they were dressed in provocative clothing while the guy’s hands gently rubbed circles on their exposed stomachs.
When Leon and Marie ca in, the man looked up and smiled.
"Ah, our visitors," He grinned, then looked at Marie. For a mont, a confused expression crossed his face.
At the sa ti, Marie froze upon seeing him. Her eyes widened in shock, and her mouth opened and closed several tis.
Leon observed their expressions for a mont, confused.
"Do you guys know each other?"
Marie imdiately tore her gaze from the guy’s face. anwhile, he smiled widely.
"Marie, my love. I didn’t think we’d reunite like this," He spoke calmly, his voice carrying a teasing edge.
The lady stiffened, then glared at him. Without saying a word to him, she turned to Leon and said, "Boss, I’ll wait outside."
Leon’s eyes narrowed suspiciously, but he nodded and let her go. Then, he finally turned back to face the bald guy.
He showed no expression, and simply stared at the guy.
The shirtless man’s smile also disappeared, and he looked at Leon with a sharp gaze.
"First, I must thank you for reuniting and my beloved after almost seven years."
Leon’s eyes widened in surprise, not expecting that. Before he could say anything, the man continued.
"Now, why are you here?"
The two n stared at each other for a mont until Leon asked, "What is your na?"
The question seed to have baffled the man, but then he smiled and answered.
"Marcus Clinton. But calling Marcus is fine."
Leon nodded subtly, then continued, "Marcus. We’re searching for a little girl and a couple. Do you think you have them in your camp?"
"Hm? A couple and a little girl? There are barely any couples in this camp, and as for children..." Marcus smiled faintly. "We can surely check for that."
He released the two won from his grip and stood up.
"Well, let’s not waste ti and start searching, shall we?"
Together with Leon, he stepped outside the office and spotted Marie so distance away, arms crossed, and right foot anxiously tapping the ground.
"Sigh, it looks like she hasn’t even aged at all," He muttered under his breath.
Leon walked up to Marie and said, "We’re going around to check. You have to co."
She lifted her head, glanced at Marcus, then nodded, "I understand."
Leon turned around, and they followed Marcus out of the warehouse. Based on the reactions and words of the two, he had co to an obvious conclusion—Marcus was the father of Marie’s daughter.
’I don’t even know the girl’s na. Does this guy even know he has a daughter?’
Looking at Marcus who was still oblivious, Leon couldn’t help but shake his head.
’Huh... there are several types of humans that doesn’t cease to amaze you.’
They ca to a halt at the center of the camp, then Marcus gave an order to his n.
"Go wake everyone and tell them all to gather here now. Including the children."
The ard guys imdiately went out and began waking the sleeping residents of the camp.
Marcus turned to Leon and Marie, a faint smile on his face.
"Why are you looking for a little girl, though?"
Leon’s expression didn’t change as he answered vaguely, "Who knows?"
Then, he asked his own question, "From what I can see, you seem to be enjoying the company of a lot of won here. How did you do that?"
Marcus wasn’t expecting the question, but he still smiled and answered.
"That’s quite a history. At the start, it was annoying. I had to force so of them to please . But now that they see the benefits if being my consort, they no longer resist. In fact, so of them even run away from their partners and co to ."
He smiled proudly, as if he was saying nothing absurd.
Leon watched him incredulously, "And you feel no remorse from destroying people’s relationships?"
"Of course not," Marcus shrugged, his smile dimming. "Since the world has beco like this, I’ll rather embrace evil than pretend to be righteous."
He sighed, then turned to Marie.
"Marie. I can see you’re doing fine. But you can still join here. I assure you that I would treat you better than everyone else except myself, considering our relationship in the past."
Leon’s gaze sharpened imdiately, "And what exactly is this relationship that makes you think you can take my subordinate?"
"Your subordinate?" Marcus’s voice turned cold as he shifted his gaze to him. "Oh well, your subordinate gave her first ti to . Special, isn’t it? That’s why I love her."
Leon tilted his head as if processing the words, then shook his head with a sigh.
"That’s still not enough reason. I can’t allow that, sadly."
Marcus’s stare turned into a glare. But just as the tension peaked, the residents finally gathered before them.
Most of them were still feeling sleepy since it was in the middle of the night, but they just had to co. After all, it was Marcus who had called everyone.
If anyone dared to disobey...
"Good. Everyone is here," Marcus turned to them and gave a smile. Before he could continue however, soone stepped forward and spoke in a surprised tone.
"M-Marie?"
The three evolvers imdiately looked at him, then Marie’s expression shifted to joy.
"Mr Ben!"
She imdiately walked up to him and asked, "My daughter. Where is she?"
The man sighed and looked behind him. A beautiful young girl peeked from his back, and her eyes widened as soon as she saw Marie.
"Mommy!"
