Chapter 1103: Chapter 159: Fla Umbrella
This large-scale vine attack looks very familiar.
That’s right, it originates from the basic defense module of the Star Alliance Base — the strangling vine.
The developer of the magic technique was Lin Sisi, and it was modified by Dane himself.
Inspired by the scene of the vine strangling the Insect Race, he added the elent of vines to the “stone pillar” developed by Lin Sisi, forming the current “Stone Pillar Guardian.”
With the release of this skill, the crisis was finally truly resolved.
No matter how the monsters advanced, they could not escape the encirclent of the vines, and the area below the giant stone pillar was soon piled with corpses.
“We, we’re saved…”
The warriors of the SASR squad all looked at Dane as if he were a deity.
Could such power truly be achieved by a mortal?
“Thank you both very much for your support, really, thank you! Without you, we might have all died here…”
With the monster’s offensive suppressed, Dylan rushed over imdiately to sincerely thank these two Transcendents.
The number of these white devils had far exceeded the range predicted by intelligence.
He dared not imagine what kind of fate they would face without the help from these Star Alliance Transcendents.
Death might have been the best outco.
Perhaps he would have beco just like those monsters, one of them.
“You’re welco, banishing evil is also our mission.”
Dane nodded slightly.
Now, all the white monsters were blocked at the bottom of the stone pillar, and with the protection of the vines, they should not be able to co up.
They just needed to wait for the support helicopters to arrive, then they could leave directly from the top.
Just as he thought of this, a sudden noise ca to his ears, like a large flock of birds flapping their wings, coming from afar and getting closer.
“What is that…”
Dane quickly looked up, his eyes involuntarily widening.
In the sky, a large flock of birds was flying towards their direction, blocking out the sun, casting a shadow over them.
“White birds… are those birds infected too!!”
With excellent vision, he clearly saw the attackers from a distance.
Now, the truth was out.
The birds here hadn’t migrated; they too had been infected by that unknown force, turning into monsters covered in white hair.
Dylan also understood how the helicopters had crashed.
The unidentified flying objects reported by the base were these things!
“Screeching!!”
The sharp and piercing calls of the birds ca, and in an instant, those monsters were overhead.
“Open fire! Open fire now!!”
Soone shouted loudly.
Gunfire erupted once more.
But this ti, they shot not at the ground, but at the sky.
“Damn it! This isn’t working! There are just too many of them! Bullets are useless!!”
Panic spread once again.
Although the mutant birds had extrely sharp claws and beaks, any ordinary person should be able to handle one alone.
But now, with hundreds of them surging in, even a car might be torn apart.
Structure: Diffusion.
Combination Sequence: Fla.
“Blaze!”
With a loud shout, flas burst from Remy’s hands, engulfing the diving mutant birds.
Screams began, and the flas, infused with dark energy damage, were irresistible to these creatures, turning them to ash in an instant.
However, compared to the overwhelming scale of the bird flock, Remy’s flas were far from enough, protecting only a small area around him.
At the sa ti, Dane cast a new magic technique.
Structure: Umbrella.
Combination Sequence: Fla, Barrier.
“Fla Umbrella!”
In the next mont, a large umbrella made of flas opened overhead, enveloping the entire platform.
A sea of fire erupted in the air.
The flaming giant umbrella spun, with countless waves of fire surging, consuming any creature that dared to co close.
The monsters rushed towards the sea of flas like moths to a fla, only to be reduced to ashes without even a scream.
“What terrifying power… Is this magic…?”
Under the umbrella, the people were awestruck by the scene, once again saved by the two Transcendents from certain death.
The giant umbrella acted as a protective shield, covering them.
They felt no discomfort from the heat, while the monsters on the umbrella felt as if they were in purgatory.
Now, they were protected by the Stone Pillar Guardian below and the Fla Umbrella above,
A full-range protection allowed the special forces mbers to safely await evacuation without firing a single shot.
“Calling the base, monster air forces have appeared, be aware!”
Dylan gave the base a heads-up over the communication channel.
Better safe than sorry, lest his side be fine, only to have the comrades sent to their aid wiped out halfway.
At this ti, several helicopters finally arrived at the battlefield.
At Dylan’s request, they didn’t approach imdiately, waiting until all the mutant birds were burned before cautiously coming nearer.
The base had already learned what happened here, feeling secretly relieved.
If their helicopters had encountered those mutant birds first, their current firepower configuration wouldn’t have been able to hold them off.
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!”
Dozens of missiles sliced through the sky, plunging into the monsters below.
The roar of explosions echoed, and even the stone pillars seed to tremble.
When the dust settled, all the white devils were utterly annihilated.
Only a few scattered mutant birds were resisting desperately.
This was long-range support from the base, a wave of missile bombardnt completely clearing the area.
These white devils were ferocious compared to ordinary creatures on Water Blue Star.
But they weren’t actually any advanced type of alien species, their inherent dark energy laughably low, to the point they were hard to spot in the Spirit Detection Technique’s field of view.
Such level monsters were still brittle when facing large-scale hot weapon bombardnts.
The hair that could resist rifle bullets couldn’t withstand the power of a missile explosion.
Perhaps seeing their companions destroyed or realizing they couldn’t overco the fire giant umbrella, the remaining few mutant birds began retreating.
“Quickly! Follow them! Find the source of these things!”
Dylan’s communicator relayed a new command from the base commander.
