In the mouths of these insect beasts, the hard titanium alloy was as crisp as a wafer, ripped to shreds in a couple of bites, chewed into pieces, and swallowed.
This sight was hard for everyone to believe, as to how a creature’s mouth could be so formidable.

Within NASA’s Space Aviation Center, Lune’s face fell completely upon seeing the final scenes transmitted from the Moon rover’s footage.
Though he hadn’t seen all of those insects, he recognized so of them as the monsters the Seventh Fleet had encountered on Rebirth Island back then.
What he couldn’t have imagined was that these monsters not only massacred but could directly swallow the tal crafted for space crafts.
If they appeared on Water Blue Star, then human civilization might entirely beco their food.
What he didn’t know was that these bulky black worms that devoured all the ships were not the combat units of the Desert Worm Clan.
In their group, they served a role akin to engineers, consuming large amounts of tallic minerals to feed back and reinforce the Mother Nest’s structures.
These bulky black worms were codenad “Devourers,” but people in the Star Alliance preferred to call them “Farrs,” just like in many real-ti strategy gas.
Observations suggest these “Farrs” prioritize refined tal as their consumption target.
When lacking adequate food, they directly consu soil and minerals, extracting nutrients from them.
According to the Star Alliance Research Departnt’s model calculations,
if the Desert Worm Clan is allowed to develop on a planet for a long period, they can eventually devour all the land, forming a “planet-grade insect nest” floating in the cosmos.
And now, these creatures have made their appearance on the Moon.
To the Star Alliance, their threat level far exceeds that of ordinary combat units.
