"Ring ring ring~"
The abrupt ringing of the phone in the room startled him.
Lune turned his head to look, with a hint of surprise in his eyes.
This phone was considered his office’s work phone, which rarely rang. If anyone wanted to reach him, they usually contacted him via his private number.
With curiosity, Lune picked up the phone.
The identity of the caller, however, surprised him.
It was an adversary of his, a core senator who had consistently opposed his Alien Species information sharing plan.
What truly amazed him was that this core senator had suddenly changed his tone, speaking softly to him.
Through a lengthy conversation, Lune was astonished to find that the senator, despite talking at length, actually conveyed support for him.
This truly took him by surprise.
Previously, this person was the one who opposed the plan most vigorously. How could he suddenly reverse his stance?
He inquired several tis about the reason, but the senator remained vague, evading the question without providing a clear explanation.
This unexpected situation imdiately made Lune vigilant.
He probed a few tis, but the senator’s intention was clear—he indeed supported him.
Feeling baffled, Lune hung up the phone and was about to find soone to investigate the caller’s situation when another new number dialed in.
Just like before, it was yet another opponent who had changed their position, wanting to support the Alien Species information sharing plan.
Subsequently, a series of phone calls ca in, keeping his office line constantly busy.
The identities of the callers varied.
There were politicians like that core senator, and many influential financial tycoons.
But their intentions were astonishingly consistent—they had shifted their stance to support the Alien Species information sharing plan.
...
"Alright, I understand."
Lune hung up the communication, burdened with concern.
The last call was from a major shareholder of a high-tech company.
The wealth this person possessed was unimaginably vast; a single sentence could make the financial industry in Arica tremble.
Similarly, this individual had suddenly shifted from opposing the sharing plan to agreeing with it.
Moreover, they expressed that their group would donate two billion dollars to assist the Hurricane Bureau in various research projects.
Lune was now thoroughly bewildered.
He realized that sothing must have happened in the past few days that caused these individuals to collectively change their stance suddenly.
Yet the specifics of this incident remained unknown to him, though he harbored so vague suspicions.
But that thought seed so elusive that it was hard to believe.
At that mont, a ringing sounded once again, but the source was not the phone on the desk; it was his private communicator.
Lune’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly answered it.
"Jonathan! Do you have any news?"
He asked directly.
Jonathan was his assistant, soone he trusted implicitly.
"Lune, it seems you’ve noticed already; those opponents must have actively contacted you, right?"
"Yes, Jonathan, tell quickly; what on earth is happening? Why did these people suddenly all shift their stance to support the Alien Species information sharing plan?"
Upon hearing this, there was a mont of silence on the other end of the line, then a voice said:
"So, that’s how it is; it seems their information is very up-to-date... I’ve only just learned that agents reported to that the New Apollo Team and survivors, specifically Captain Ramsey, have returned from the Moon. He’s currently at NASA’s Space Aviation Center..."
"Returned!?"
Upon hearing the news, Lune’s expression froze.
The Moon, after the New Apollo 1 was lost, Ramsey actually returned!
"Could it be...?"
A thought erged in his mind.
That previously deed unrealistic idea now seed to be real!
"Star Alliance! It must have been Star Alliance that saved him! If there’s anyone in the world who could bring Ramsey back from the Moon, it would be them!"
Lune voiced his speculation.
"I think so too; it seems that organization is more unfathomable than we imagined, being able to bring soone back from the Moon. Regardless of the thod used, it speaks volus about their strength..."
"Indeed, if I’m not mistaken, Ramsey must have discovered sothing on the Moon, which prompted those greedy vampires to switch sides and support the sharing plan..."
"We just don’t know what secret Ramsey uncovered; in this light, although the New Apollo plan failed, the Longinus plan unexpectedly succeeded..."
"Haha, but speaking of it, our agents are quite dutiful; even the tycoons knew the news, while I, the director of the Hurricane Bureau, was the last to know..."
Lune broke into a cold smile.
"It seems we have quite a few unexpected gains; once this situation is over, it’s ti to reorganize the internal environnt of the Hurricane Bureau..."
"..."
The call was interrupted, and the matter gained a clear outline.
