Now reading: Chapter 1233 - 225: Healing Overture (Part 2) from World-saving Plan: The Only Savior, a Sci-fi novel by Zhao Buqian.

"Be careful!"

The people inside the command center were in agony, and that’s when Jannan made his move.

With a gentle snap of his fingers,

a visible green wave rippled from his fingertips, quickly enveloping the entire base.

Imprint Skill, Healing Overture.

This was an ability he exchanged for in the Star Alliance Mall, a chaotic depiction of the Dark Energy Formula that could be directly activated.

〖Healing Overture〗

(Blue)

Play a lodious overture, healing all creatures within range, allowing them to regain a small amount of Life Value and Dark Energy, and dispelling any ntal disturbance status.

Healing Amount: 10

Dark Energy Recovery: 50

Spirit Resistance Strength: 100

Consumption: 100 Dark Energy

Cooldown Ti: 2 hours

Effective Range: Radius of 300 ters (effect weakens with distance)

— It is said that this overture originated from the legendary bard Wendy, and its performance style was later spread to the world by the wind, often used as an effective ans to resist the interference of the Demon Clan.

Apparently, this was sothing Zhang Xiaoman obtained from the system’s lottery draw.

After upgrading the skill to the purple "Wind’s Ode," he could sell it in the Star Alliance Exchange Mall.

However, activating this skill required a piece of music to be played.

Otherwise, it would be like a Sword Array Skill without a sword, unable to be successfully activated.

However, the system’s criteria were very rigid.

Although it ntioned the need to play a piece of music, it didn’t specify what quality the music needed to reach to be considered valid.

So, after continuous experints by Zhang Xiaoman, he discovered that even a whistle or a snap could be considered "music."

Perhaps in the domain of music, a snap could also be regarded as an art form.

Now, with Jannan’s snap, everyone in the command center felt a surge of joy, as if all their previous fatigue had vanished.

The terrifying sharp shriek no longer affected them, and even their spirits were greatly uplifted.

Even more miraculously, although they only heard an ordinary snap, what echoed in their ears was the whisper of a breeze.

That snap was ethereal and marvelous, leaving them wishing to hear it a few more tis, sounding more lodic than any song in the world.

"Thank you, Liquidator!"

Valdis gave a grateful look at the other party, knowing that this ti, it was this Awakener who saved them.

Otherwise, just from that one attack, they would have suffered heavy casualties.

However, while the people at the base were safe, the pilot of the aircraft wasn’t so fortunate.

They were also within the attack range of the monster but outside the healing range of the Healing Overture, imdiately bleeding from their seven orifices and crashed to the ground in agony.

Seeing this, Valdis’s previously cheerful mood turned sour once again.

The monster was still above, the crisis was not over.

He had to find a way to eliminate it, or the sacrifices would only continue to increase.

"Damn it! What the hell is that monster? And what’s with that shield? Do we have to use a nuclear bomb to blast it?"

He slamd the table, then turned his thoughts to Jannan, the miraculous Transcendent, and couldn’t help but glance at him.

"That’s a White Light Shield, possessing very strong physical resistance, capable of effectively blocking explosions and high-temperature damage, commonly seen in Biological Species..."

Jannan was also observing the monster, with no change in expression on his face.

"Based on the intensity of its Dark Energy Wave, it’s likely that before being infected and becoming a White Devil, it was already about a third-level Extraordinary Creatures, and now its strength has further increased, likely reaching the middle stage of level 3 strength."

He said this as he stood up, slowly walking towards the door of the command room.

"Among the base’s conventional weapons, there’s probably no way to bring it down quickly; let handle it, I should be able to deal with it."

His actions were steady, giving a very reliable sense of security.

Everyone in the command room looked at him.

So had worried faces, hesitating to speak.

Others showed hope, expecting a miracle.

Very few people had truly witnessed the power of these Transcendents.

What they needed more was the intelligence advantage provided by the other party.

Valdis did not stop him.

As Jannan said, with their current power, they couldn’t kill the monster swiftly.

If it escaped the battlefield’s range and road into the cities behind, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Perhaps the power of these Transcendents far exceeded his imagination.

He thought to himself.

As the Grand Marshal of this war, Valdis shouldn’t underestimate his allies’ power.

However, being from a military background, like most warriors, he developed a habit—albeit not a particularly good one—of only trusting in the cannons he held.

Although he wouldn’t admit it, many people thought internally that no matter how strong these monsters were, just turning the cannons towards them should do.

With the powerful destructive capabilities of modern weapons, what problem can’t be solved with a missile?

If there is, it’s just that there isn’t enough firepower, so keep adding more.

In actual combat, however, there are too many factors to consider, making it impossible to bomb indiscriminately.

The city, the environnt, the economy, and a range of other situations limit their performance.

But one idea remained unchanged: their inherent modern warfare mindset.

In the battle against monsters, their army was key.

Let Transcendents act as Super Heroes in the cities; on such large-scale battlefields, let them obediently serve as intelligence officers.

But now, having been defeated ti and again, so people’s mindsets finally began to change.

Including Valdis, they were unconsciously placing their hopes on those Transcendents.

Especially when Jannan was about to make a move, that hope began to transform into strong anticipation.

With the miraculous thods Jannan just displayed, perhaps he could indeed solve the problem here.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Jannan walked out of the command room, into the base outside, looking up at the distant sky.

The soldiers coming and going around didn’t notice him.

Everyone was busy preparing for the approaching monster.

So were transporting ammunition, so checking the wounded, everyone appeared busy.

"How is he going to deal with that guy..."

Valdis saw Jannan standing at the door through the surveillance footage, his expression filled with anticipation mingled with a hint of doubt.

At this mont, scenes of earth-shattering events appeared in his mind.

Scenes of him soaring into the sky, engaging in a series of life-and-death struggles with the monster.

Or him unleashing his full power, defeating his opponent with unmatched might.

It must be said that these subconscious imaginations aligned with many scenes from superhero movies.

The influence those movies had on people was indeed subtle and pervasive.

Yet, Jannan stood at the door.

He had no intention of flying up or gathering power for a big move.

He just stood there, gazing at the distant sky.

His eyes glimred with golden light, as if he were observing sothing.

Structure: Ascension

Combination Sequence: Eagle Eye, Tracking

Eagle Eye Technique!

A blue light flashed in his pupils, concealed by the golden glow, disappearing in a flash.

That indicated the activation of the Eagle Eye Technique.

The target was too far away, and a Spiritual Vision alone couldn’t detect it.

Only when both were used simultaneously, in combination, could he lock onto the target.

"Hoo~"

Jannan took a deep breath, slowly raising a finger.

A powerful wave of Dark Energy surged around him.
