The people in the tavern were all focused on the ongoing Beastman war.
As rcenaries who traveled around the world, their senses were very sharp.
It was predictable that the future battlefield would beco a stable source of inco for them for a long ti.
Though dangerous, compared to completing various rcenary tasks with fierce competition and the need to run around everywhere, participating in the Beastman war would be a wise choice.
This doesn’t an they have to face off against those Beastn head-on on the battlefield.
As rcenaries, there are indeed a lot of jobs they could accept.
For example, helping the Adren Kingdom’s army escort military supplies, protecting a nobleman in escaping the war zone, or roaming the battlefield’s edges, finding lone Beastn and taking them out, then bringing their heads to the army for rewards.
Moreover, if they dream bigger, they could even sneak into the Beastman camps and earn huge bounties by assassinating Beastman officers.
But such thods are risky, and only those high-level rcenary groups dare take such risks, ordinary rcenaries wouldn’t dare.
After all, there are quite a few strong ones among the Beastn; otherwise, given their behavior, they wouldn’t have survived till now and would have long been wiped out by the major races on the continent collaborating.
Just as everyone in the tavern was discussing the war’s bounties, a young man wearing leather armor dashed in excitedly, holding a potion that looked very exquisite in his hand.
"Brothers, the Cabran Alchemy Store has opened again; I just grabbed a Basic Vitality Potion inside! Hurry if you want a deal, don’t miss this opportunity!"
With his shout, the rcenaries in the tavern all simultaneously halted their actions and turned their heads towards him.
"Wow!"
The next mont, a loud cheer erupted from the crowd, and they all stood up, rushing frantically towards the tavern’s exit.
"What’s going on?"
A rcenary who had just arrived in Tarata saw the commotion and was montarily puzzled.
The young rcenary who had the potion had already bought his desired item and was no longer in a hurry, slowly finding a spot to sit down with a look of contentnt on his face.
"Ding ding ding~"
He lightly tapped the small potion bottle in his hand twice, waved it in front of the crowd, and said:
"Look, see this? Basic Vitality Potion, I just bought it at the Cabran Alchemy Workshop, I was the first to rush in with so many people!"
The rcenary beside him, seeing this stance, couldn’t help but show a hint of disdain.
"It’s just a Basic Vitality Potion, what’s so special about it?"
The young man happily thought soone had taken the bait but tried to remain calm outwardly, even putting on an air of superiority as though looking at a country bumpkin, saying:
"Hehehe, which is why you’re not moving; sa Basic Vitality Potion, let ask you, how much did you pay for it before?"
"Two silver coins, what’s the issue? That’s the standard price throughout the Adren Kingdom, right?"
"Hahaha, do you know how much I paid for this one?"
"How much?"
The young man smiled mysteriously, taking a deep breath through the bottle as if feeling the life essence contained within.
At this point, the few new rcenaries were also curious and urged him to hurry up and speak, not to keep them in suspense.
"Ah, this potion only cost one silver coin, right at the Cabran Alchemy Store across the street."
At that mont, a man drinking at a nearby table couldn’t bear watching any longer and revealed the price of the potion first.
Upon seeing this, the young man’s expression turned incredibly sullen as if he had eaten a fly.
It’s tough to show off these days.
Even though he already brewed the emotions well, soone suddenly saying the answer first ruined the experience completely.
But now, everyone no longer cared about his experience; the group of new rcenaries were astonished when hearing the price from the other person, their faces full of disbelief.
"This Basic Vitality Potion, could it be lacking potency...?"
They voiced their assumptions.
After all, such situations have occurred before.
So inferior potions or flawed ones from the crafting process, whose effects are greatly reduced, would be sold at a low price by many alchemists.
These potions can indeed be bought, their prices much cheaper compared to normal ones.
But very few are willing to buy them.
Because with reduced potion potency, the rcenaries would often struggle to control their exact effects during use, potentially leading to unpredictable battle outcos.
Like the Basic Vitality Potion in the young man’s hand, this thing is used to treat wounds and recover physical strength, which ans it concerns one’s life.
If the potion’s efficacy is reduced, the consequences could be terribly frightening.
Since they’ve paid for the potion, intending to keep it as a lifeline, no one would take any chances with such life-saving ans.
