Chapter 1394: Chapter 307: Undead Army (Part 2)
The ergence of an undead army of over a million directly overturned the tide of the battle.
The remaining orc army so far is less than one and a half million.
Now, facing an undead army nearly equal in number, it is evidently enough to drive so to despair.
“No, impossible… this is impossible!!”
Urbis finally changed his expression, losing the composure he had at the start.
What is the biggest reliance of the orc race against the Alliance army?
Besides the strength granted by the Divine, it was naturally their numbers.
Whether facing the elf clan’s chira, the human and dwarf Griffin Knights, or even the Holy Ones from the Unshacklers Association, or the magic scrolls they created, the orcs could always use numbers to gain an advantage.
But now, the mont Zhang Xiaoman’s undead army appeared, it ant the orcs’ nurical advantage was lost.
“These undead… are summoned by him…”
On the city walls of Kuhan City, Hillna gazed silently at the scene before her.
Though she tried to keep her emotions in check, her trembling shoulders revealed the turmoil within her heart.
Of all the people present, this undead princess was probably the most shocked.
As an undead, she knew that after undead magic was replaced by evil spirit magic, there was no place left for them in this world.
Even hiding in the dark abyss, they were constantly harassed by the abyss demons.
Without undead magic, it ant their companions would never increase in number.
Any decrease in their numbers would be permanent.
But now, when Hillna saw the return of undead magic, when she witnessed the man nad Ji Xing personally resurrect a million undead, it was as if she saw the hope for her entire race’s revival.
In the sky at this mont, after resurrecting the million undead army, Zhang Xiaoman did not imdiately order an attack but took out a windpipe from his storage ring.
If his plan was to employ a human wave tactic, enhancing his followers with a collective boon was essential.
Thus, Zhang Xiaoman intended to use his large-scale augntation skill, “Wind’s Ode.”
Retreating a certain distance, he covered the defenders of Kuhan City North Zone with the range of Wind’s Ode.
This way, he could prevent the augntation skill from being applied to the orcs and help the injured soldiers recover and free themselves from the spiritual attacks from the sunlight.
A sweet breeze arose from nowhere, sweeping across the cold battlefield, dispersing the bloody atmosphere in the air, bringing a refreshing clarity like a rebirth.
Along with the breeze, a lodious tune ca, resonating in the ears and seemingly echoing in their hearts.
At this mont, the injured Alliance soldiers all lifted their heads.
Their eyes no longer held confusion, for the powerful resistance effect of Wind’s Ode had exempted them from Lula Bada’s spiritual attack.
The soldiers all displayed expressions of excitent.
They were thrilled to find their wounds healing at a miraculous speed, and many severely injured low-level soldiers were soon bustling with vigor again.
They excitedly cried out.
The breeze not only brought healing dew but also gently lifted their bodies, giving them a sense of lightness akin to a swallow.
So seasoned Kuhan City veterans who had heard Wind’s Ode before imdiately understood where it ca from.
They all looked to the sky with fervent eyes, at the figure standing on the massive head of the Frost Giant Dragon Elcurus.
“Ji Xing! Lord Ji Xing has saved us! He is the Holy One of our Human Clan! He has rescued us once again! Boohoo…”
So were moved to tears, trembling hands forming a prayer gesture toward the sky, gratefully kneeling down.
Those who haven’t experienced life and death can hardly understand the terror of facing death, nor the surprise of being reborn.
This was indeed a gift.
With the effect of Wind’s Ode, the soldiers of Kuhan City North received healing.
And a large portion of the resurrected undead army also had their attack and movent speeds enhanced.
This ti, the song Zhang Xiaoman played on the windpipe was music from Water Blue Star, called “The dawn.”
Later, a group of ga-loving players gave it a new na – “Undead Overture.”
Now, playing this music on this otherworldly continent, using the unique windpipe of this world as the battle anthem for his undead army, seed quite fitting.
The sound of the windpipe was ethereal and lodious, drifting over the battlefield, intoxicating those who heard it.
However, at this mont, the orcs had no mind to appreciate this music.
The ordinary beastman soldiers were in a half-berserk state, unable to listen.
And the shamans who could maintain their clarity were affected by the advancing undead army, leaving them in no mood to listen.
At this mont, with the augntation state complete, Zhang Xiaoman also issued the order to advance.
All the undead on the ground took their steps forward, charging towards the beastman army.
A million against a million.
On one side: brave and skilled, marked with the Light Mark beastman warriors.
On the other: fearless, eternally unwearied and unfeeling undead army.
Zhang Xiaoman stood atop the Frost Giant Dragon Elcurus, overlooking everything from high above.
This scene left him feeling quite shaken too.
“Dadadada…”
The movent of the undead was silent.
Apart from the footsteps on the ground and the clash of weapons and armor, no other sounds could be heard.
So undead rode horses or magic wolves, their mounts from life, continuing to fight alongside them in death.
On the ground, several fallen chira corpses were resurrected as well.
However, since they couldn’t reach the Ninth Rank in strength and had lost their full wings, they couldn’t fly in the sky, only charge toward the beastman line with other undead.
“Boom boom boom boom boom!”
A series of tallic clashes sounded.
The undead knights charging at the front clashed with the beastman wolf cavalry, initiating a cold-blooded slaughter.
This was the grimst close-quarters battle yet in the Northern Wind Prairie War.
Both sides forgot their fears, single-mindedly tearing apart their foes.
The beastman warriors were more violent and swift, superior in individual strength compared to these dead ones.
But the undead soldiers felt neither pain nor hesitation.
They were the Undying army; even if the orcs chopped off their arms, severed their bodies, they could crawl with a single arm, holding onto an orc warrior’s ankle.
Unlike Elcurus, these undead had no consciousness of their original selves.
The reason they moved was due to Zhang Xiaoman’s control through undead magic.
So, to kill these low-level undead, they must be dismbered into pieces.
Sever the undead magic’s effect, or use light magic to disperse them.
Zhang Xiaoman had attempted this before.
Since these undead were resurrected using the “Yin Negative” structure, when encountering corresponding light elent magic, it would directly neutralize their negative energy, thus “neutralizing” them.
Unfortunately, the beastn harbored no one who could wield light magic.
Their shamans were adept at manipulating wind, earth, thunder, and other elental powers, unlike the priests from the Bright Church.
So, although the beastman warriors might surpass these undead in individual strength.
Once both sides were embroiled in combat, the battle reached a stalemate, with a grueso and drawn-out slaughter continuing across the prairie.
