The monster was attacked and had to give up its plan of continuing the chase, switching its target to Eva instead.
Eva’s Longsword was a Dark Spiritual Artifact; even though the other side was a pure energy body monster, it could still inflict a certain amount of damage.

"So what do we do now? Should we contact Uncle Lu?"
