524: Chapter 405: No Eagles Released Until Rabbits Are Seen 524: Chapter 405: No Eagles Released Until Rabbits Are Seen When Zhang Xiaoman arrived at eting Room 1, his mother was just coming out.

“I thought you might be here by now.

I have a corporate eting myself, so I’ll leave this place to you,” she said.

After greeting him, his mother hurried off with Xiao Ya.

Zhang Xiaoman touched his nose and silently sighed to himself.

His mother was increasingly taking on the air of a businesswoman.

Then, he turned and entered the room.

“Boss, you are here.”

Upon seeing him, Sun Mingsheng quickly stood up and ca over, introducing:

“This is Richard, whom I ntioned before, my forr colleague.

He now works at NTST focusing on astronomy and geology.

He could definitely help with your plan.”

anwhile, Richard also stood up, walked over, and extended his hand, saying:

“Hello, Mr.

Zhang, I am Richard.

I am very interested in the video material you provided.

I hope to see your company’s space shuttle, and if all of this is true, I’d like to join you.”

Zhang Xiaoman had already co to know quite a bit about this old man through the information he had provided and the help from Star Order.

He was younger than Master Liu by so years and about the sa age as Jannan, yet his temperant was quite different from the latter’s.

Jannan had a style that was calm, competent, and also slightly tough-guy.

But the man in front of him exuded wisdom and scholarship, giving off the vibe of a focused scholar.

“Mr.

Cromwell, I am pleased to et you.

Regarding your information, I’ve also reviewed it, and you indeed fit well with what I had in mind,”

Zhang Xiaoman also stretched out his hand and shook the other’s, saying:

“However, if you want to see the space shuttle with your own eyes, you must first join our company.

Of course, Light Blue Starry Sky can cover your breach of contract fee.

After all, this is highly confidential for the company, and I must ensure that these secrets are not disclosed to outsiders.”

He said, gesturing for the other to sit down, but upon hearing this, Richard’s face showed so dilemma.

For Richard, spontaneously changing companies was clearly not an option.

Moreover, his current employer was a world-class large enterprise; the benefits were secondary, as they didn’t matter as much to him.

But the equipnt and research funding they provided were truly substantial.

If he rashly terminated the contract only to find that this was all an illusion, he would be devastated.

It wasn’t that he feared the video was fake; with his professional knowledge, he doubted anyone could deceive him in this area.

But what Richard was uncertain about was whether the company providing the video was legitimate.

If the video wasn’t shot by them but obtained from sowhere else, he would be utterly distraught.

After all, judging by the scale of the enterprise he saw today, it likely did not have the capacity to launch a space program.

At the side, Sun Mingsheng’s expression turned weird upon hearing the two interact.

His attention wasn’t on what they said, but on the very languages they were using.

Here, Zhang Xiaoman was speaking Mandarin, well-known to him.

On the other side, Richard was using a pure London accent.

With both of them interacting this way, it always gave him a strange feeling.

It reminded him of the idiom “chickens talking to ducks,” though the aning might be slightly off; oddly enough, both seed to understand each other perfectly.

Moreover, Sun Mingsheng vaguely rembered that his old friend supposedly didn’t speak Mandarin.

Could it be that after so many years he had learned it?

At least, he must be able to understand it; otherwise, how could they have communicated?

Richard, too, appeared deeply anxious and uncertain.

Initially, because he was too focused on the content of Zhang Xiaoman’s words, he hadn’t noticed this peculiarity.

Now, he finally realized, his eyes widening incredulously as he looked at the other.

“You, you… how did you do that?

Why can I understand what you are saying!?”

Zhang Xiaoman smiled slightly, finished the tea in his cup, and said, “Mr.

Cromwell, isn’t this the proof you wanted?”

“This, this, this is just…”

Richard still looked incredulous.

Sun Mingsheng was puzzled by their seemingly cryptic conversation, completely unable to understand what they were hinting at.

“Since that is the case, let show you another new video,”

Zhang Xiaoman said as he opened his wristwatch, projecting a brand-new video onto the table.

Twenty minutes later, Richard had finally recovered from the imnse shock that had rocked his worldview.

Just then, he not only witnessed an ability akin to telepathy, unimaginable as it was, but also firsthand saw the other party’s possession of futuristic technology.

The thod of holographic projection and the intelligence of the assistant were so advanced that it made him feel as though he had traveled to the future.

Of course, ti-travel was impossible; Richard knew that he had just struck it incredibly lucky.

He wasn’t foolish; soone with his accomplishnts couldn’t possibly be a fool.

Rather, he was clever, quickly grasping many things from the two thods demonstrated by Zhang Xiaoman.

Leaving the mysterious superpower aside, just the wristwatch that was beyond its era was unimaginably not just sothing a small company could produce.

Now, he even felt like he was seeing those high-tech corporations from the movies.

If the plot were to follow what he imagined, such enterprises generally hid enormous strength that others were unaware of.

The company was just an external facade; behind it likely lay a much larger organization…

Richard had imagined many things, and his blood began to boil.

He wasn’t concerned about anything else; in his view, if things were truly as he suspected, then this company definitely possessed the strength to realize his dreams.

Zhang Xiaoman could sowhat understand his perspective.

Richard’s reluctance to agree stemd mainly from his fear of being deceived, a kind of ‘no rabbit, no falcon’ mindset.

But now, having seen so genuinely significant things, Richard should be able to understand a bit of his own capabilities.

With that, coaxing him to join would be much simpler.
