The Caucasian man waved his hand and said, “No need, I’m not that frail.
Besides, Lune was a comrade-in-arms back in the day, so it’s only right for to wait for him here.”
As soon as he finished speaking, several dots suddenly appeared on the distant horizon, and at the sa ti, the voice of a communications soldier reported:
“Target approaching, planning landing zone, Team Three please prepare for reception.”
The ground crew imdiately sprang into action, waving signal batons, guiding the five Black Hawk helicopters to land.
As the rotors ceased to turn, the surrounding noise also vanished, the cabin doors opened, and more than twenty people dressed in “S.E.R.B” gear walked out.
“Comlan, long ti no see, you look even older than before.”
Lune walked straight up to the Caucasian man and embraced him in a reunion after a long separation.
“You’re still as annoying as ever, Lune.”
Comlan patted his back, and the two finally separated.
“Alright, although I don’t agree with you coming over, you still ca.
Let’s go, we can talk inside.”
A crowd of people stread out of there, entering the bridge.
…
“Lune, have you really decided to enter there personally?”
In the eting room, Comlan asked his old friend, now the Director of the Hurricane Bureau, with a grave look on his face.
Strictly speaking by rank, he might even have to address the other as his superior.
“This operation, although it involves a large number of personnel, is completely unknown due to the inability to communicate.
I am not a pessimist, but what you will encounter once you’re in there is completely unpredictable.”
Comlan briefly expressed his concerns, hoping his old friend would change his mind.
But he knew it was probably a faint hope.
As expected, Lune shook his head and said:
“It is precisely because intelligence can’t be relayed that I must go and see for myself.
The scale of this operation is huge, making it the perfect opportunity for to enter.
Don’t forget, I’m also a warrior.”
He spoke his mind and without waiting for a response, he swiftly changed the subject.
“Comlan, how’s the personnel arrangent going?
When can we set off?”
Knowing his personality, Comlan didn’t linger on the previous topic.
“We are deploying twenty-eight teams to form three fleets, with a total of eighteen ships, all of which are the best sail ships available.
They’re equipped with a large array of conventional power weapons that can be used within the Restricted Area.
With these, even if we encounter a Sea Monster, we can completely hunt it down…”
“As for the ti, considering the current light and safety, you’ll set off tomorrow morning.
After three days of sailing, you will arrive at the base port of the Seventh Fleet in the evening.”
“Three days…”
Lune pondered for a mont, then nodded.
The arrangents were not beyond his expectations, and the timing was about right, yet the ntion of the Sea Monster involuntarily furrowed his brow.
“Regarding the Sea Monster, is there anything you can tell ?”
Comlan paused for a mont, pondered briefly, and then shook his head:
“We don’t have much information about the Sea Monster, just that soone saw it once while sailing through the Restricted Area, but they sped up and left, and it didn’t give chase, so there was no conflict.”
He paused and then added:
“Oh, right, I just received so intelligence today.
Yesterday, a reconnaissance team from Japan seed to have been attacked by so creature.”
“The specifics are still under investigation, but if you need it, I can have them send the information overnight.”
A look of surprise crossed Lune’s face, finding what the other man had said quite interesting.
He hadn’t been aware of the intelligence regarding Japan.
He stood up, his face revealing a hint of anticipation.
“Alright, Comlan, please arrange this matter as soon as possible.
I need detailed information on that monster; the more detailed, the better.”
…
Elsewhere, within the western surveillance line of Rebirth Island.
Inside the eting room of the Golden and Silver Flower.
Several commanders of the Black Tortoise Army sat around a table with so docunts spread out before them.
The group was quietly reading the contents.
A mont later, a middle-aged man at the head of the table knocked on it and began to speak.
“Gentlen, I believe you are all fairly familiar with the intelligence in the reports.
Now, there are two matters I need to discuss.”
As he spoke, the others set aside their docunts and focused their attention on him.
A few guards approached silently, collecting the papers from in front of them and fed them into a machine for destruction.
The middle-aged man’s voice ca again.
“First is regarding the west.
They have recently amassed a large number of sail ships around the surveillance line; there must be so significant action planned.”
“I need each of you to dispatch more than two reconnaissance squads to explore the western side of the island and find out what exactly they are up to.”
The attendees nodded; this task was not unexpected and fell within predictions.
“The second matter concerns the top-secret information you were just reading.”
“After discussions in the conference, it has been decided that one of the five fleets in the Pacific Ocean will be withdrawn.
Furthermore, all investigation operations on the island are prohibited from attacking the Shield in the central area.”
“That seven-pointed star symbol is from an organization nad the Star Alliance.
Based on our Intelligent Group’s analysis, we have reason to believe that the Shield there is sohow inextricably linked to them.”
At the table, a Level 4 Commander reached for the cup in front of him and took a sip of water.
The middle-aged man understood the gesture ant the commander wished to speak.
“Go ahead.”
The man who drank water set down his teacup, organized his thoughts, and asked:
“Commander, I would like to know where the Star Alliance stands.
If we encounter them on the island in the future, how should we approach them?”
The others also looked interested and waited for the middle-aged man to answer.
“The Star Alliance is an organization we know very little about at present, only that it possesses Extraordinary Power.
They have provided us support in other operations against Alien Species.”
“Therefore, as per orders, if any of you encounter their mbers, do not engage in conflict.”
“At the sa ti, when conditions allow, try to glean as much intelligence about their organization as possible.”
The group nodded in agreent and began to consider potential action plans.
Seeing this, the man in charge breathed a sigh of relief.
He was a Level 3 Commander from the Black Tortoise Army headquarters, and he had only learned this information about the Star Alliance in the past couple of days.
What relieved him was the efficiency of the Intelligent Group.
They had analyzed the possible origins of the mysterious island and the relationship between its central Shield and the Star Alliance through various small clues.
He had seen the complex relationship diagram, where the most prominent portion had a 67% probability, which almost definitively suggested the Shield was related to the Star Alliance.
This was a considerable relief to him.
Who knew that the base on the island had already laid out a series of developnt and exploration plans, so of which were rather direct and straightforward.
If it weren’t for the sudden appearance of a chaotic magnetic field hundreds of kiloters in radius in the center of the island, perhaps so unpleasant incidents would have already occurred by now.
