Chapter 655: Chapter 494: Sizar’s Diary (Two in One)_2
When the dust had settled, what t their eyes was a chaotic scene.
The forest ahead was unrecognizable, with trees leaning and collapsing, and earth churned up to the surface.
The Wildfire Team looked all dirty and disheveled, as if they had just weathered a dust storm.
“Shit! Ptooey, ptooey… Damned monsters… Is it finally over… Ptooey, ptooey…”
Ciro slid down from the tree where he was hiding, spitting out several mouthfuls of dirt.
“Phew~”
The others also stood up, looking equally disheveled.
“Anna, you guys first tend to Mikel’s wounds, I’ll go around and see if there are any that got away.”
After saying this, Weiss went out and circled the cabin to make sure there were no mutants left, and only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.

Mikel, rarely verbose, said so much in one breath, rejecting Ciro’s hypothesis.

Ciro said, unconvinced.
Just then, Weiss broke in suddenly to interrupt them.
“Stop arguing, let’s go inside the house now and look around for clues.”
Leaving the bodies behind, the group headed for the small cabin.
The cabin was so distance from where they were, so it hadn’t been affected by the explosion.
As they approached, they were greeted by a ghastly scene.
Animal and human corpses were intermingled, the cabin was splattered with blood, making it evident that the monsters had used it as a sort of nest.
“This sll… It’s really disgusting!”
Ciro covered his mouth, unable to stand the surrounding air.
“Forget it, I won’t go in… I’ll keep watch outside for you guys…”
Anna’s foot was halfway lifted when she withdrew it.
There was no helping it; the place was too dirty, with absolutely nowhere to set foot.
Three n entered and began searching the small hut.
“Fuck! These beasts are damned! It’s hard to imagine what those people went through before they died.”
“Shit! What is this? So disgusting!”
“Ah! I swear! I’ll never co to a place like this again in my life!”
“Shit! If anyone ever discusses the topic of Hell with again, I’ll definitely bring them here to see what real Hell is like!”

Complaints from Ciro occasionally filled the hut, annoying Weiss and Mikel.
Suddenly, the complaints stopped, replaced by an excited shout.
“Co look what I found!”
They imdiately dropped what they were holding and went over. Weiss took a small notebook from Ciro’s hand and flipped through it, exclaiming with joy:
“Is this a diary? Sizar’s diary!?”
“Ha ha, yes, a diary, found right there.”

He looked at the viscous liquid on his hands and felt nauseated.

He cursed under his breath and no longer cared about these trivial things, quickly flipping through the diary.
The beginning of the diary contained mundane daily affairs, bounty task completions, and so financial inco records.
The situation continued until fifteen days ago.

“October 28th, rainy… I feel like I’m not going to make it. My vision is getting more and more blurry, and when I open my eyes, I can only see red. I can’t hear clearly, and I’m so hungry, I want to eat a lot…”

The diary ended there. Weiss frowned at the content, and a silence fell upon the hut.
“It appears, Sizar was indeed influenced by sothing. If it’s like what his diary described, the culprit is the fragnt from the giant snake’s body…”
Thinking this, Weiss recalled the mont he first saw that fragnt.
It was a feeling that made his heart race, and when his line of sight touched it, he even felt a whirl of confusion and madness.
Fortunately, he had boxed the fragnt at the first opportunity, avoiding further contact.
Now thinking about it, he felt a wave of relief.
If he hadn’t done so back then, he might have ended up in the sa situation as Sizar.
