Chapter 739: Chapter 537: Fierce Battle Under the Dinsion Rift (Two in One)_2

However, such low-level spiritual attacks are no problem when dealing with ordinary people.

To affect the Awakeners of the Star Alliance, however, is clearly impossible.

But as ti passed, Stone Statue Demons of even more massive sizes began to erge from the Dinsion Rifts.

These fellows were sowhat stronger, roughly at the level of the early tier 2.

Luckily, though their strength had improved, they didn’t possess any special abilities, so dealing with them was relatively easy.

The stone golems’ hard skin was no match for the Extraordinary Weapon Mystic Ice in their possession, a single stab or slice was all it took to break through their defenses with ease.

There weren’t many of these slip-throughs, and with the powerful combat abilities of the Awakeners, including mighty ones like Beelu, the monsters couldn’t break through for a while.

Lune had also slowly beco aware of the presence of this “Mysterious Reinforcent.”

After all, with so many people killing monsters right under his nose, if he hadn’t noticed, he might as well not be the Bureau Chief.

Right away, he connected this to what Hu Hu had told him over the communications; from all the signs, it had to be the Transcendents who could close the Dinsion Rifts.

He passed this information on to his warriors, to prevent any accidents during the upcoming battle that might harm these individuals with Extraordinary Powers.

On board the Dawn, Xiao Man was closely monitoring the scene below.

After a while, seeing that Arica hadn’t made any aggressive moves after spotting them, he finally relaxed a little.

Although they had not t, being on the sa side against a common enemy, they cooperated tacitly.

However, this scene didn’t last long.

From the Dinsion Rift above, a large horde of monsters suddenly erged, surpassing the scale of the previous ones.

This only added insult to injury for the already stretched-thin Arican military.

This ti, among the erging monsters, there were even more high-level Stone Statue Demons.

So of them could withstand bombing and escape, buying ti for so of their companions.

Lord Bear twirled his Long Spear, leaping at a diving Stone Statue Demon, piercing through its body with a single strike midair.

This particular Stone Statue Demon was much larger and stronger; such a wound hardly affected it.

Its arms swung, its sharp claws stabbing toward Lord Bear as they tumbled through the air, locked in combat.

“Boom!”

A massive collision sound followed as they fought their way to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

On the ground, the monster was even less of a match.

Lord Bear swung his Long Spear, a flash of cold light, and beheaded the creature in front of him.

The headless monster still floundered on the spot for a mont but soon froze, its movents gradually ceased.

For these Demon Series monsters, their life force was extrely tenacious; they had to be beheaded or their “form” destroyed to be killed.

Luckily, the Awakeners from the Star Alliance all had rich experience, knowing how to deal with them.

Everyone fought efficiently, mostly aiming for the head.

Either chopping off the head or using the Fireball Technique to smash the skull, their efficiency was high.

But as more and more monsters erged from the Dinsion Rift, the resistance from the Arican forces in the front began to weaken, and the pressure on the Awakeners side grew significantly.

Fortunately, at that mont, reinforcents from the Fourth Marine Corps arrived, and the pressure on everyone eased slightly.

However, just as everyone was starting to breathe a sigh of relief, a change in the sky once again plunged them into a hard battle.

From the Dinsion Rift, the number of Stone Statue Demons surged suddenly, from the initial couple of hundreds to the scale of thousands, reminiscent of the Desert Worm Clan.

Moreover, among these monsters, there also erged other figures—fellow denizens of the demon series. So were already docunted by the Star Alliance, while others were new types of enemies never seen before.

Flying monsters directly soared toward the troops below, and those unable to fly danced awkwardly through the air as they plumted down, raining from the sky like dumplings.

Zhang Xiaoman witnessed this scene through the holographic projection and felt his scalp tingle.

The number of monsters before him was truly overwhelming, having far exceeded previous estimates.

Despite knowing that a dinsion rift of this scale posed a greater threat, he could never have imagined the sheer number of monsters that ca pouring through.

“No, I must find a way to get there quickly and sever the source, or else at this rate, our troops won’t be able to hold on…”

Zhang Xiaoman thought to himself.

He wasn’t deliberately avoiding action; it was just that the sheer number of monsters was overwhelming.

And since absorbing a dinsion rift took ti, if he didn’t clear the surrounding monsters first, he risked being attacked during the absorption process, leading to potential failure.

However, judging by the current situation, the number of Stone Statue Demons seed even more than he had originally imagined, leaving him uncertain about what would happen next.

“Boom boom boom boom!”

Explosions echoed repeatedly in the sky.

A barrage of artillery fire covered the edge of the dinsion rift, blasting the monsters that had just poked their heads out into smithereens.

However, with one or two high-order monsters taking the lead and charging out, the army below soon faced havoc.

Their long-range firepower was indeed formidable, but once the monsters closed the distance, they were practically defenseless.

The monsters stord into the midst of the troops, wreaking havoc on everything around them.

Several Stone Statue Demons, towering four to five ters tall, stood like giants who had invaded a land of dwarves, making onlookers’ scalps tingle just by watching them.

From the sky above, Lune watched the scene below, his eyes brimming with rage.

He commanded the aircraft to the temporary camp’s command center, aiming to rescue General Feodor.

Beelu had finally received his first mission within the Hurricane Bureau. Despite so trepidation, he understood that he had to face everything eventually.

The training he had received recently had turned him from a gar shut-in into a Super Soldier today. Both physically and ntally, he was no longer the person he had been.

“Beelu, the next mission is up to you. You must ensure General Feodor’s safety and successfully rescue him,” Lune said, looking earnestly at the young black man before him.

“I understand,” Beelu nodded, and then silently activated his Constitution Enhancent ability, one of only two Dark Energy Formulas he controlled.

Around him, the other warriors of Hurricane Team were also ready.

Everyone understood what they were about to face, with a certain nervousness evident on their faces.

They instinctively focused on the figure in front of them. Although a month ago he was just an ordinary shut-in, he had now beco the strongest among them, and the only Transcendent within the entire Hurricane Bureau, which added to their sense of security.

“Everyone, follow Beelu’s lead. Our target is General Feodor inside the camp. We must succeed in the rescue operation,” Lune instructed the fully equipped team, reiterating their objective.

He also inford them that they must follow Beelu’s orders and were not allowed to act independently.

This wasn’t because Beelu had surpassed the mbers of Hurricane Team in all aspects within a month.

Rather, it was because of his silver eyes, which could penetrate walls to see the shape of monsters. This was undoubtedly the most crucial observational ability in battle, as vital to the entire team as the eyes themselves.
