"Thump, thump, thump!"

On the stone beach by the creek, Li Qiang’s heart pounded intensely.

Even though it was pitch black all around, at that mont he could clearly feel a terrifying gaze watching him.

This feeling was peculiar, like an inherent alarm system in living beings, automatically activating in tis of crisis.

So call it intuition, so call it crisis premonition, and others call it the Sixth Sense.

In any case, many people have encountered such situations to varying degrees, often saving their lives at critical monts.

Li Qiang knew it had to be that Snake Demon appearing.

At this mont, the hair on his body stood on end, and he bit his teeth tightly, trying hard not to cry out.

"Shhh, shhh, shhh..."

A slight rustling sound ca from the woods on the other side of the creek.

Cold sweat drenched the back of the young boy.

He did not know what would happen next, only rembering the Immortal’s advice, holding onto the wooden stake on the ground without letting go.

Suddenly, a massive suction force ca from behind him.

The surrounding sand, stones, and trees seed to be swept by a hurricane, all leaning in that direction.

Li Qiang felt as if hundreds of thousands of hands were pulling at him.

His hands, gripping the wooden stake, suddenly couldn’t hold it anymore, and his whole body floated up, flying toward the other side of the creek.

"Buzz!"

The sound of a rope tightening rang out, stopping Li Qiang’s body mid-air.

His foot was tied to a rope, the other end fastened to the stake on the ground.

The boy hung upside down, floating in the air toward the woods.

He forced himself to endure the pungent sll in the air and opened his eyes for the first ti to see the Monster across the riverbank.

Snake Demon!

That was a Snake Demon!

It was exactly as the Immortal had described!

This was a massive Snake Demon, as thick as a tiger!

Li Qiang was utterly terrified.

He had never thought that a snake could grow so large.

With its gaping maw, it could probably swallow him whole in one bite.

"Crack, crack..."

At this mont, the wooden stake on the ground emitted sounds of being unbearably strained.

The surrounding soil began to crack inch by inch under the enormous suction force.

"The snake, the Snake Demon has appeared!!!"

Li Qiang shouted loudly, but his voice was drowned by the strong wind pressure, not reaching anywhere.

However, just when he was about to despair, with the shattering of several bottles, a pungent odor drifted over.

The massive black snake across inhaled a large breath, suddenly unable to maintain its montum, and began to vomit silently on the spot.

"It’s realgar wine!"

Li Qiang felt a surge of joy, knowing the Immortal had saved his life again, and the Snake Demon was indeed afraid of it.

He seized the opportunity to untie the knot on his feet, then sprinted desperately toward the village.

Even though the giant snake was choked by the sll of realgar wine, it suffered no great harm.

Seeing its prey trying to escape, it instinctively opened its mouth to inhale again.

But the sll of realgar wine choked it once more, forcing it to stop its Divine Skills.

"Hiss~~~"

A strange hiss echoed.

The yellow pupils in the Snake Demon’s eyes revealed a vengeful look.

It stared deadly at the escaping prey and then swayed its body to give chase.

In the next mont, a pre-arranged chanism was triggered, and several Long Spears shot out, piercing deeply into the snake’s body.

"Groan!"

The giant snake cried out in pain, but its montum did not decrease at all, still chasing after Li Qiang.

Subsequently, all the chanisms were triggered one by one but failed to achieve any results like the earlier Long Spears, all being brutally destroyed by the snake’s impact.

The commotion here certainly caught the villagers’ attention, but unfortunately, they were so distance away, unable to clearly see what was happening.

Several torches lit up, and a group of people, wielding various crudely made weapons, rushed toward the commotion.

However, how could their speed compare to that of the Snake Demon?

If progress continued like this, Li Qiang would undoubtedly be snatched away by the Monster before they arrived.

But, of course, things wouldn’t be so simple.

Among the villagers, there were two figures whose speed was noticeably faster than the others, leaving them behind in just a few breaths.

Pei Laoliu had been summoning Dark Energy since he first spotted the Snake Demon.

He opened with the Formula of the Sword Control Technique, but there were subtle differences, clearly another Magic Technique.

"Kid! You must hold on!"

Master Liu’s silver-white eyes fixed on the massive figure in the distance.

In his perception, it was clear that the Monster ahead was different from ordinary beasts, also possessing Dark Energy.

At this point, the giant snake was less than ten ters away from the young boy, just needing a single leap to bite him.

Pei Laoliu, seeing this, broke out in a sweat, his actions increasing in speed.

At this point, Li Qiang could even feel a cold breath exhaling from just behind his head.

He didn’t dare look back, only kept running toward the torchlight.

"Hiss!"

The top half of the giant snake suddenly arched back, then shot forward, fiercely biting at the prey in front of it.

Previously by the creek, it suffered from the bitter taste of realgar wine, harboring rage toward this tiny creature, intending to bite it and then turn to leave.
