Yet what the Tie Family Elder had not anticipated was that reality proved to be opposite of what his Skill should have acplished.

Far from his Skill shattering Ye Wuxian’s, the moment the two collided and merged, his Skill was instead ignited by Ye Wuxian’s flames.

After releasing the firestorm, Ye Wuxian swept a casual hand and dissolved her own body into the flames, merging with them and being one with the fire.

This was also a new application of her Level 100 Divine Skill, which Ye Wuxian had discovered after some testing. Namely, she could cause her own body to change into an Elemental Form.

Not only could she freely manipulate flames, shaping them into different Skills for Attack or Defence, she could even transform her own body into fire itself, directly being Immune to Physical Damage.

As for whether Magic Damage could harm her, that too depended on the circumstances.

Take Earth Element or Lightning Element Skills. These Elements bore no countering relationship to the Fire Element. They would be just as ineffective as Physical Damage, equally negated.

Water Element Skills, on the other hand, could deal double damage to her body.

This was understandable. After all, once Ye Wuxian transformed into her Elemental Form, she was akin to a living flame. Whether or not she could be harmed depended entirely on whether the opponent’s attack could strike against fire.

Under ordinary conditions, this Elemental Form was, in truth, somewhat overpowered. Yet, it was not quite to the point of being outrageously broken.

After all, Water Element Skills were far too mon. If one set aside ten Players, one would find two or three among them capable of using Water Element Skills.

And beyond that, Magic Scrolls containing Water Element Skills were everywhere. They were items so widespread they had bee mundane. Water Element Skill Scrolls could both deal Damage to enemies and provide Healing to oneself. It was both a consistent, reliable and affordable type of Scroll. So, who would go out adventuring without tucking a few into their bag?

So under ordinary circumstances, Ye Wuxian would not transform her body into her Elemental Form.

Once an opponent used Water Element Skills to attack her, she would suffer double the Damage. For a Mage like her, that was simply too lethal.

After all, even a Battle Mage was still a Mage. They still had a fragile constitution, which was something unavoidable.

But now, the reason Ye Wuxian dared transform into her Elemental Form was naturally not a decision born of desperation.

First, the Tie Family members had no understanding of her Elemental Form’s weakness. After she transformed, they might not know how to deal with her.

Secondly, though her flames could dissolve the opponent’s attacks, this too required a process, and was not something acplished in a single instant.

Perhaps if her Level were high enough, she could dissolve the opponent’s Skills in a heartbeat. However, for now, her strength did not yet permit such a thing.

And so, faced with the Tie Family Elder’s assault, she could only transform into her Elemental Form, rendering herself Immune to his Physical Damage.

Then, there was the most critical point of all.

That was, once in her Elemental Form, Ye Wuxian would enter a state of true Invulnerability.

The weakness of her Elemental Form mentioned earlier referred to the flaw inherent within her Level 100 Divine Skill.

If Ye Wuxian was nothing more than an ordinary Battle Mage, this flaw would be very difficult to pensate for. It would simultaneously make her Elemental Form a Skill she could never use lightly.

After all, the weakness against Water Element Skills was too high. Once an enemy took notice of it, using her Elemental Form again would bee extremely dangerous.

But now, things were different. Ye Wuxian was an Ancient God, and she possessed the power of an Ancient God.

The flames she manded held a superior position among the Elements, capable of dissolving all things. That naturally included Water Element Skills as well.

In other words, now that Ye Wuxian was in her Elemental Form, she would no longer be constrained by the Water Element. She could even counter the Water Element herself.

Thus, Ye Wuxian’s Elemental Form now carried no weaknesses whatsoever. One could say it was a state of true Invulnerability.

The Tie Family Elder’s Void Splitting Slash was indeed immensely powerful, and its offensive force could relentlessly press forward without obstruction.

Even as this Skill was being dissolved by Ye Wuxian’s Ancient God Power, its might could only diminish with every passing moment. The Damage it dealt was still surging forward and could not be underestimated.

Had Ye Wuxian been unable to evade it, she would most likely have suffered grievous injuries.

But now, things were different.

Ye Wuxian had directly transformed into flames, causing the Void Splitting Slash to lose its target.

Scorched by the fire, Void Splitting Slash surged forward, only to cleave apart the flames that Ye Wuxian had bee.

However, this kind of Physical Damage could not produce any Effect on her whatsoever. Moreover, the towering flames enveloped the Void Splitting Slash, further accelerating the dissolution of the Skill.

Moments later, Void Splitting Slash vanished pletely into the air, and the Tie Family Elder’s Skill had been rendered entirely useless.

A High Level Player had released a Skill capable of erasing the opponent’s Skill, only for it to be erased in return by a Lower Level Player.

This scene was something none of the Tie Family members present had anticipated in the slightest.

Not only that, with the Tie Family Elder’s strike having e to nothing, it was now Ye Wuxian’s turn to act.

She remained in her Invulnerable state, in her Elemental Form, making no move to reconstitute her physical body.

Then she manipulated the sea of flames surging across the sky, driving them towards the Tie Family Elder.

A towering wall of fire, like a cresting wave of terrifying magnitude, slammed down in an instant upon the stunned Tie Family Elder and the Blazing Sun Eagle, sending both crashing down from mid-air.

The two of them struck the ground with a tremendous impact, their bodies almost entirely engulfed in flame. They had bee no different to Human torches.

“Aah! Water! Quickly, put me out!” The Tie Family Elder scrambled up from the ground, the overwhelming burning sensation sending him writhing and thrashing in agony. His posure shattered in an instant.

The Effects of the Healing Potion he had taken earlier were already wearing off, and now with so much more flames covering his body, the rate of Healing could no longer keep pace with the Burn Damage Over Time.

The skin on the Tie Family Elder’s body was rapidly being scorched to charcoal by the flames, the stench of burning flesh spreading in all directions.

Seeing one of their Elders in such a wretched state, all the Tie Family members were thrown into panic as well.

Several Water Element Players immediately cast Buffs, Healing Skills, and Purify Skills upon him, hoping to smother the flames on the Tie Family Elder’s body.

However, the moment their Skills drew near Ye Wuxian’s flames, they were evaporated away, producing not the slightest Effect.

These were after all flames that even an Epic Grade Sacred Nether Ice could not extinguish. How could their Skills possibly make any difference?

Even amongst those present, there were experts of the Fifth Profession. Yet, they too proved entirely useless in rescuing the Tie Family Elder.

Before the eyes of all present, the Tie Family Elder, together with his Blazing Sun Eagle, their struggles and screams growing ever fainter, finally collapsed into the flames and turned to a pile of charred remains.

Even so, Ye Wuxian’s flames did not cease. They continued to scorch the charred remains further, as though refusing to rest until they had been entirely reduced to vapour.
