Once they discover that some had been taken captive, the remaining Tie Family members might abandon their planned hiding place and go into hiding elsewhere.
If the Tie Family dispersed further, finding them would be a far greater challenge.
It was for this reason that Ye Wuxian wanted to set out immediately. Once she had these Tie Family members reveal the others’ location, she would launch a swift strike and wipe out the Tie Family.

And so, he decided to send word to the Situ Family, explaining that he had some business to attend to first, that the Tie Family would be dealt with before he returned.
But Ye Wuxian laughed. “You don’t need to make a move to wipe out the Tie Family, you know? You can just go back to the Situ Family and enjoy the banquet. Leave the annihilation of the Tie Family to me.”
“In fact, that last battle left me somewhat unsatisfied. It ended before I truly began to work out the strengths of my Ancient God Power. I want to pay another visit to the Tie Family, to see if there are any other capable fighters left. I want to use them all as my sparring partners. They will be the ones that help me test out how my Ancient God Power is best used, how I can bring out its greatest power.”
Lu Fan considered this, and felt it was rather reasonable.
However, the idea of letting Ye Wuxian go to the Tie Family alone still sat uneasily with him.
The Tie Family was, after all, a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family. The might of this Family was real. Even if they were retreating into the Wilderness, even a well-prepared Tie Family could not possibly empty out all of their forces. Once inside the Tie Family’s territory, she would be fighting on their home ground. What secret weapons the enemy might have was anyone’s guess.
Ye Wuxian had only just gained her Ancient God Power, and her Level was not particularly high. She could not yet bring out the true might of her Ancient God Power.
Thus, the fact that she had dominated those Tie Family members earlier was no grounds for placency in letting her go to the Tie Family alone.
After much deliberation, Lu Fan decided to have Jian Ying, Tao Xiaoman, Qin Qiu, and Han Ke acpany Ye Wuxian. With the four of them forming a team, they should be able to annihilate the Tie Family without much risk.

Delight, because during these past days at the Ye Family Residence, they had been so idle they did not know what to do with themselves. They had been doing nothing each day, just leaving the Ye Family Residence and clearing out the nearby areas.
Now, at last there was something to be done. It was the annihilation of a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family, no less. How could they not be excited?
And so, the four reached an immediate agreement. They obtained the coordinates of Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian’s location and set off at once, making their way there.
Beside them, Ye Wuxian had, under a sharp few words of her own, effortlessly pelled the captured Tie Family members to obediently reveal the Tie Family’s current whereabouts.
This was because Ye Wuxian had made clear that the plot to ambush her had most likely been devised by the Tie Family’s upper echelons, that those lower-ranked members present could not have been the ones calling the shots.
Therefore, as long as they obediently revealed the Tie Family’s current location, they would be released.
Refuse, and they would be killed on the spot, sent to keep those already in ashes pany.
Ye Wuxian’s approach of wielding both carrot and stick proved to be effective. With ease, she extracted the current whereabouts of the Tie Family’s members. They were concealed deep within the Western Border, inside a secret Dungeon Instance.
That Dungeon Instance had been fully cleared out by the Tie Family and remodelled into an extremely well-hidden refuge. Simultaneously, at the moment, the decision had been made to move against Ye Wuxian, the Tie Family’s members had worked through the night to transfer every last Tie Family resource into it, making it a near certainty that they would not be relocating to another hiding spot any time soon.
Right now, the Tie Family’s remaining members should still be inside, waiting for the Elder to return with Ye Wuxian in tow.
Having learned the Tie Family’s current situation, Ye Wuxian was already cracking her knuckles, poised to give the Tie Family a lesson they would not forget anytime soon.
And so, Ye Wuxian asked Lu Fan to take the captured Tie Family members and bring them to the Situ Family first.
Once she and Jian Ying and the others had annihilated the Tie Family, they would honour the agreement and let these captives go.
