Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character Chapter 119: The Ancient Stele’s Inner Space
"Shouldn't the Wang Clan reflect on their own incompetence?" Lin Langtian's calm yet biting words echoed through the air.
The bystanders couldn't help but react, surprised by his boldness. While Lin Langtian was known for his incredible talent, the Wang Clan was, after all, a powerful family on par with the Lin Clan. It was astonishing to see him speak of them so dismissively. But they had to admit—if the top talent of the Wang Clan couldn't hold his ground against a branch mber from the Lin Clan, the defeat indeed brought sha upon them.
"Lin Langtian, you… you!" sputtered the gray-haired elder from the Wang Clan, montarily shocked into silence.
He had expected Lin Langtian would at least maintain peace between the families by disciplining Lin Dong. Yet here was Lin Langtian, not only refusing but openly insulting the Wang Clan. What made it worse was that he had no grounds to object.
"Lin Langtian, your Lin Clan has humiliated the Wang Clan. When I return, I'll make sure the clan leader hears of this!" The elder's eyes flashed with anger as he spoke.
"Oh? And then what?" Lin Langtian asked lightly. "Will the Wang Clan's leader personally co to fight ?"
With his current strength, Lin Langtian saw anyone below Nirvana stage as inconsequential. Even if the Wang Clan's leader stepped in, Langtian's own magic puppet would ensure he'd hold his own.
Hearing this, the Wang Clan elder's face darkened. He was forced to rember that Lin Langtian was no ordinary junior—he was a formidable opponent who had recently defeated a peak Creation Realm master.
"Co now, Wang Tong. This is just sparring among the younger generation. Surely, there's no need to take offense?" said the Lin Clan elder, chuckling softly, offering Wang Tong a way out of the awkward situation.
With this opportunity to retreat, Wang Tong's expression relaxed, though he still spoke coldly, "Fine, but my clan leader will certainly seek an explanation from the Lin Clan!"
With those words, Wang Tong grabbed the injured Wang Yan and swiftly departed.
Lin Dong, observing the elder's retreat, was quietly impressed. Lin Langtian's re words had sent him running. It was clear that Langtian's recent reputation wasn't just due to his lineage but from his own strength and achievents.
"Thank you, Brother Langtian, for speaking up on my behalf." Lin Dong stepped forward, eting the calm yet powerful gaze of the man before him. He sighed inwardly. Although he himself had made remarkable progress over the past year, it was clear that Langtian had continued to grow as well.
Langtian looked him over and smiled. "No need to thank . You've advanced impressively, cousin. As for the Wang Clan, don't worry about them. There's no true harmony between our clans anyway. Wang Yan brought this defeat upon himself."
Hearing Langtian's words, Lin Dong was montarily taken aback, but then he smiled, admiring Langtian's confidence.
After chatting briefly with Lin Dong, Langtian introduced him to the other Lin Clan elders. While they were talking, a sudden shout spread across the wilderness.
"The seal on the Great Wilderness Stele is lifting!"
The cry echoed, and excitent spread through the crowd. People pressed forward in a dense sea, everyone scrambling toward the stele.
When the final symbols on the massive stone stele began to fade, Lin Langtian and the others stopped their conversation and focused on the ancient monunt.
"Hum!"
With a powerful tremor, the ancient stone stele emitted a dense, cloud-like energy, forming a massive vortex hundreds of ters wide.
"The stele is open!" A collective cheer erupted as countless eyes burned with anticipation and fervor, breaths quickening. Among them were not only independent martial artists but also elite mbers from the four great clans and other powerful forces native to the region.
"Let's go have a look." Langtian smiled at the vortex, leading the Lin Clan into the swirling energy. Behind him, Lin Dong and the other clan mbers hurriedly followed.
The remaining three clans and nurous other powerful forces surged forward, all diving into the vortex.
As he passed through, Langtian felt a repelling force, though it wasn't particularly strong. He guessed that anyone at the great-circle Yuan Dan level could just barely make it through. To him, it was no obstacle; he simply channeled his robust physical power, scattering the repelling energy with ease.
Once the resistance dissipated, Langtian's speed surged as he let the vortex's pull guide him. After several minutes, he saw a glimring tunnel of light ahead. He quickly propelled himself through it.
The ancient landscape spread vast and barren, with an overwhelming sense of age and desolation perating the air. Everything was silent, and an ancient stillness filled the space.
The solitude lingered for an indeterminate ti until, all at once, the sky rippled, and cracks appeared in the space. Figures began tumbling from the heavens, though many managed to stabilize their descent with Yuan Power, landing safely.
Langtian too landed smoothly, taking in the endless, empty space before him, a sense of awe flickering in his eyes. Creating a vast inner space within a single stele was a feat of almost unimaginable skill. He instinctively compared it to the world within his Golden Wheel Mirror, though this place was vast and shrouded in mystery. By contrast, the mirror's inner world was more compact but infused with layers of dense black mist and a peculiar mystery.
Shaking off his thoughts, Langtian scanned his surroundings and noted that the other Lin Clan mbers, including Lin Dong, were not nearby. They must have been separated upon entering.
He was unconcerned. After adjusting the raven perched on his shoulder, he imdiately darted toward the center of the stele's space.
"I wonder what treasures lie ahead," he murmured with anticipation.
