"Brother Lin Fan, though we of the Mo family are of the royal bloodline, our two families have always enjoyed a strong alliance. When Ling'er secures a spot in the selection, I hope that Nephew Langtian will help him on the battlefield when he can," Mo Jingtian continued with a polite bow.

The Hundred Empire War is a gathering of elite talents from hundreds of dynasties within the Eastern Xuan Region, with cutthroat competition at every turn. The Great Fla Empire, as a lower-tier dynasty, was often wiped out entirely in such battles, a reality Mo Jingtian knew well. But with a rare prodigy like Lin Langtian, it might finally have a true advantage. Having erged from the violet-gold door, Lin Langtian glanced around to see that no other competitors had arrived. Realizing he'd finished far ahead of others, he assud the other rounds had yet to conclude. With ti to spare, Lin Langtian made his way to the viewing stands. After greeting Lin Fan and Mo Jingtian, he settled in to observe the final rounds with the other clan leaders.

The heads of the gathered factions greeted Lin Langtian enthusiastically. Not only was his power on par with their own, but many hoped he might also protect their juniors during the ancient battlefield trials. Yet the head of the Huangpu Clan, Huangpu Long, and the head of the Wang Clan, Wang Lei, were noticeably less enthusiastic. Huangpu Long still fud over Lin Langtian's recent defeat of his clan's champion, Huangpu Ying, while Wang Lei seed more generally displeased to see the Lin Clan stealing the spotlight. Two decades prior, the Wang Clan had knocked the Lin Clan out of the seed selection, so Lin Langtian's ergence as a prodigy this ti around ca as an unpleasant surprise.

Unfazed by these tensions, Lin Langtian's eyes remained fixed on the grand viewing area. In front of them stretched five corridors connected to the palace arena. The five candidates who erged from these paths would claim the five selection spots, though one spot was already Lin Langtian's.

On the high walls ahead, several screens displayed the ongoing matches in the corridors, showing intense battles and flashing figures.

"Interesting… surveillance screens, it seems," Lin Langtian murmured, his gaze drawn to the third corridor screen, where Lin Dong's path was displayed.

"Look, Lin Dong from the Lin Clan has run into Wang Zhong from the Wang Clan!" soone shouted.

"Wang Zhong, the Wang Clan's top genius! Looks like Lin Dong's in trouble now."

"True, but with Lin Langtian in their ranks, the Lin Clan has already claid one spot. It wouldn't be right for them to take more."

In the third corridor, just as the last round began, two figures abruptly clashed—Lin Dong and Wang Zhong. Seeing this, Lin Langtian rubbed his chin thoughtfully. If he rembered correctly, Lin Dong had faced Wang Zhong in the original tiline, with the result being anything but favorable for Wang Zhong.

"Ha! Seems our clans are destined rivals!" Wang Lei laughed, sounding vindicated as he watched the two contenders face off on the screen.

Despite the Lin Clan's success with Lin Langtian, Wang Lei took pleasure in seeing another Lin Clan candidate about to lose to his own clan. Standing beside him, Wang Yan couldn't hide his satisfaction either. Lin Dong's previous victories had left him disgruntled, but that frustration had quickly turned to satisfaction at seeing him face off against Wang Zhong, the Wang Clan's top talent. Were it not for the sudden ergence of Lin Langtian, Wang Zhong would be competing with Mo Ling as the strongest youth in the dynasty.

Though Lin Fan kept his composure, he was slightly concerned. Wang Zhong ranked among the top three threats in the selection, and with Lin Dong's bad luck in facing him, a fierce battle was inevitable.

Just then, a disdainful laugh sounded from the viewing stands.

"Clan Leader Wang, I'd be careful with such big claims. Wang Zhong might just end up as a stepping stone for the Lin Clan," ca Lin Langtian's taunting voice.

Wang Lei's face darkened as he turned to face Lin Langtian. "Young man, don't let a few victories inflate your ego. I've seen far too many burn out because of pride. Only those who reach the end are true heroes. If you think my clan will be your stepping stone, then Lin Dong will have to prove himself!"

"We'll see soon enough," Lin Langtian replied coolly, smirking as he ended the exchange. He was curious to see Wang Lei's reaction to the final result.

As Lin Langtian and Wang Lei exchanged heated words, the screen displaying Lin Dong and Wang Zhong's fight flickered as an enormous explosion went off in the palace. Mo Jingtian addressed the onlookers, laughing off the disturbance.

"Please, everyone, remain calm. The intensity of their battle must have caused this interference."

The audience reluctantly relaxed. Lin Langtian, however, simply closed his eyes, waiting patiently for the final result.

After so ti, as Wang Lei continued his sneers and Lin Fan grew anxious, a resounding explosion erupted from the corridor. The violet-gold door burst open, sending a wave of powerful energy rushing out.

Erging from within the light, a lone figure walked out into the sunlight, under the watchful eyes of the crowd. Wang Lei's face twisted with disbelief, while Lin Langtian allowed himself a quiet smile.

The figure was none other than Lin Dong of the Lin Clan.
