Startled, the Vermilion Bird screeched in protest, flapping its fiery wings as it attempted to flee. But the net was relentless, swiftly catching up to it and encapsulating the bird within its confines.

Once trapped, the Vermilion Bird released a furious, defiant cry and began to thrash, desperate to escape. However, the black-gold net held firm, infused with the mystic power of Lin Langtian's Golden Spirit Wheel Mirror, making even the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla unable to break free.

Seeing his opponent's futile struggles, Lin Langtian raised an eyebrow. Stepping over the waves of fire, he approached the now-restrained Vermilion Bird.

With the Vermilion Bird now confined, its power significantly diminished, the situation had clearly turned in Lin Langtian's favor. The bird's eyes glowed red with fury as it cried out, "Despicable human! Don't get too arrogant!"

In a fit of rage, the surrounding scarlet flas erupted, splitting into nurous smaller firebirds. They shrieked and soared toward Lin Langtian, their fury turning the entire area into a sea of exploding flas.

After unleashing such a powerful attack, the already-weakened Vermilion Bird appeared breathless, its fiery eyes staring into the blazing sea, hoping for victory. But, before it could relax, it was horrified to see a shadowy figure erge unscathed from the flas, surrounded by fire as if he were so fire deity.

Standing amidst the fire, Lin Langtian smiled and lifted his hand. A ghostly black fla rose from his palm—Nine Nether Fla. It blazed like a dark sun, radiating such intensity that the surrounding crimson flas began to pull back in reverence, like subjects before a king.

Within seconds, the sea of flas had parted, creating a clear path around Lin Langtian. Not a single ember dared approach within thirty feet of him.

Now, with the flas subdued, only Lin Langtian and the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla remained face-to-face. Seeing its power falter before the Nine Nether Fla, true fear entered the bird's gaze.

"It seems you've lost," Lin Langtian said, smiling faintly.

Nine Nether Fla, a divine fire of the mythical beasts, was of a higher rank than the Vermilion Bird's fla. If not for its confinent, the Vermilion Bird might have rallied its fire under its control. Yet, bound and contained, the flas, leaderless, had no choice but to yield to the Nine Nether Fla.

Resigned, the Vermilion Bird ceased its struggles. Under the tightening black-gold net, it began to shrink until it was reduced to a crimson fire that was pulled straight into Lin Langtian's dantian, or spiritual core.

At last, Lin Langtian relaxed and let out a deep breath, triumphant.

"Shatter," he commanded, surveying the fiery spirit realm around him.

Instantly, the surrounding space cracked and dissolved into countless fragnts. The spirit realm collapsed, pulling Lin Langtian's consciousness back to reality and his physical body hovering above the fire sea.

In that mont, the Vermilion Bird's massive, fiery form stood still in front of him before shrinking once more into a crimson spark, which then flew directly into Lin Langtian's body.

Seeing this, Que Tian's face flickered with astonishnt. "This kid… actually tad the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla…"

As Que Tian marveled, Lin Langtian opened his eyes. For a brief mont, twin flas—one black, one red—flickered within his pupils, giving him an intense and eerie gaze. Without delay, he checked within, locating the tiny crimson bird that now rested in his dantian, its eyes dull and vacant, its spirit utterly subdued.

Lin Langtian felt a slight pang of pity, yet he knew the price of taming such a fla would be the erasure of its sentience. Only power holds permanence, after all. Smiling with satisfaction, he allowed the Vermilion Bird's fla to spread through his ridians.

Compared to his Nine Nether Fla, which had yet to regain its peak strength, this newly tad fla was an imnsely powerful ally.

With that, he focused inward, guiding the essence of the Vermilion Bird's fla through his limbs. As its core fla rged with his being, waves of scorching heat radiated outward, causing red flas to pour from every pore of his skin.

Having secured the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla, Lin Langtian now needed to take the next step—complete its full assimilation!
