Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character Chapter 225: The Transformation of the Bone Wings
Within the void space, the sea of flas vanished, but Lin Langtian did not imdiately leave. Instead, he continued to refine his power. At a certain point, he slowly opened his eyes, a sharp gleam flashing briefly before fading. Now, having fully readied himself, he extended a finger, and a large pair of crimson bone wings, each several feet wide, floated before him.
The bone wings were an intense shade of red, like molten rock, radiating faint warmth. Within the bone structure, traces of sothing almost alive flowed, giving them an unusual vibrancy and energy. These wings, from an ancient scarlet hawk, would grant Lin Langtian exceptional speed if he could successfully refine them.
Lin Langtian estimated that, once refined, his speed would place him among the elite Nirvana practitioners, unmatched by most. Such an advantage would ensure his dominance, not just in the ancient battlegrounds but even within a powerful sect should he choose to join one later on.
With a light beckoning gesture, the bone wings settled into his hands, and Lin Langtian could feel a warmth emanating from them—a sensation closer to holding a piece of warm jade than the expected cold of bone. Fortunately, because the ancient scarlet hawk had died long ago, any lingering beastly will had already dissipated. This ant he could directly begin the process of refining the wings.
After examining the wings for a mont, Lin Langtian extended his finger, and a surge of intense crimson flas burst forth from within him, rising into a massive, swirling fire in the air before him. Using his ntal energy, he precisely controlled the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla, adjusting the temperature until it was just right. Then, with a small flick, he tossed the wings into the fire, letting them fully imrse within the flas.
The flas quickly intensified, and the surrounding space heated up like a scorching furnace. Lin Langtian's approach to rging the bone wings was reminiscent of flight techniques from other realms, using potent fire to lt and reshape the wings for his own use.
A faint "drip" echoed in the space about an hour later, signaling the next stage. The bone wings had lted entirely, reduced to a viscous red liquid. Seeing the results, Lin Langtian couldn't help but smile; without the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla, this process might have taken twenty tis as long.
He raised the fla's temperature even higher, and, as the flas intensified, he produced the remaining half of the Vermilion Bird bloodline from his hand and threw it into the fire. A faint cry of a Vermilion Bird echoed as the blood rged with the molten red liquid, causing the temperature in the space to rise even more.
With the bloodline of the Vermilion Bird enhancing the essence of the wings, they would beco not only powerful but might even gain the intimidating aura of a true beast. This addition would make the wings invaluable in both battle and flight. Feeling satisfied, Lin Langtian closed his eyes and relaxed, awaiting the slow fusion of the blood and bone.
Two days later, when Lin Langtian finally opened his eyes, he looked to the red flas hovering in front of him. The molten liquid had thickened, almost solidifying, and now flowed as if guided by an invisible hand, taking shape.
He channeled his ntal energy into the liquid, and the red essence trembled, rippling as though alive. After about thirty minutes, the liquid condensed into a massive pair of bone wings, nearly ten feet across. Along the edges, small, crimson feathers erged, flickering with a faint fire. These new feathers and the intricate lines across the wings gave them a magnificent and mystical appearance, as if alive with the spirit of the Vermilion Bird itself.
"These… are Scarlet Vermilion Wings?" he murmured in awe, scarcely containing his excitent. It was clear that rging the Vermilion Bird's bloodline had caused an incredible transformation in the bone wings.
With one final surge, the Vermilion Bird's Burning Heaven Fla blazed montarily before subsiding. The flas shrank back, retreating into Lin Langtian's body, leaving behind a small, palm-sized, miniature version of the wings, glowing faintly as they hovered before him.
Grinning, Lin Langtian pricked his finger, letting a drop of blood fall onto the wings. Instantly, they absorbed it, flaring with fiery light before rging into his body.
In an instant, he could feel the wings inside him. With a thought, they sprang from his back, unfurling with a soft "whoosh." The expansive wings glowed with a fierce crimson light, and the air around him sizzled with heat. Lin Langtian's pulse raced as he felt the surge of fire-aligned energy flowing around him. A sense of boundless speed and power filled his mind.
With the Vermilion Wings, he could dominate the skies.
