Now reading: Chapter 80: IMPOSSIBLE from Yandere Monster Evolution: My Blind Wife Will Become a Demonic Queen, a Fantasy novel by AmDevilCrafts.

"Impossible." The word escaped my mouth before I could stop it.

Nothing made sense about the scene happening a few ters away.

The little girl was happily talking about sothing while waving her hands around. anwhile, Black listened quietly while occasionally responding with a few words.

He didn’t look like so terrifying existence lurking behind the scenes. He looked like a father. And that was exactly why I didn’t trust it.

"Woo Jin?" Viora tilted her head toward . "What is impossible?"

I stared at Black for several more seconds before answering.

"Because villains aren’t supposed to buy chicken skewers and spend ti with their daughters."

I replied. anwhile, the woman who had arrived with the little girl finally reached them.

Unlike the child, she didn’t run. Her pace wasn’t fast or slow. It was just steady. And when she stopped in front of Black, her eyes imdiately landed on him.

A slight crease appeared between her brows. Just enough to make it obvious she wasn’t pleased about sothing.

The little girl didn’t seem to notice it. She remained happily hugging Black. The woman, however, crossed her arms and continued to stare at him.

Black also looked at her as she looked straight into his eyes. But neither of them spoke. And the silence between them felt strangely heavy.

"You are late." Eventually, Black broke the silence as he spoke up first. But when the woman heard him, her eyebrow twitched.

"You disappeared for three months. And the first thing you say is that I am late?"

The little girl imdiately looked between the two adults. Slowly, her smile beca awkward as she realized the tension between them.

"I was busy."

Hearing Black, the woman let out a laugh, and even from this distance, I felt uncomfortable.

"Oh, of course." She let out, and the little girl quickly tugged on Black’s sleeve. "Dad."

"Hmm?" Black looked down at her.

"Mom is really angry."

"I know." Black responded and looked at the woman again, who closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead.

anwhile, he simply stood there holding the child as if nothing unusual was happening.

And sohow... that was even more terrifying. Because for the first ti since eting him, I wasn’t looking at a hunter or a rcenary.

I was looking at a man. A man who apparently had a family. Which sohow raised even more questions than it answered.

’Wait. A family?’

Suddenly, an unexpectedly brilliant idea appeared in my mind. The kind of idea that usually ended with regretting everything afterward.

Naturally, I decided to do it. After all, there was no better way to interact with Black without getting crushed under his gravity powers.

This way, I would be able to know more about him before he actually tried to kill .

I imdiately grabbed Viora’s wrist. "Co on." Without waiting for a response, I started walking. "We’re going over there."

"Why?"

"Because I want to confirm sothing."

"What?"

"You’ll find out."

Several seconds later, we arrived in front of the stall. The mont we approached, Black’s eyes shifted toward us.

For a brief mont, our gazes t. Then his eyes narrowed slightly, which told he had recognized .

’Good. That makes this easier for .’

Following Black’s gaze, the woman also looked at us. anwhile, the little girl curiously stared at Viora’s scarf that was covering her head.

I stopped in front of them and smiled. "Hey," I called, but Black remained silent, which made the woman look between us.

"You know each other?" she asked, and before Black could answer, I spoke first.

"Of course." Then I casually pointed toward him with my hand. "We are friends."

The mont those words left my mouth, I noticed Black’s eyebrow twitch. It was only for a fraction of a second. But I saw it, and that alone almost made laugh.

"You have friends?" The woman looked genuinely surprised, and this ti even Black looked offended.

"I have friends."

"Hm." The woman didn’t sound even a little bit convinced, and the little girl giggled when she saw the childish behavior of her father.

I was also trying extrely hard not to laugh. Shortly after, Black looked at and sighed.

"Woo Jin."

Hearing him say my na imdiately confird sothing. He knows who I am since I never told him my na. But the question is, how long has he known ? I had covered my face when I t him the first ti.

"You actually know him." The woman blinked as if she was surprised that Black really had any friends.

"I told you." Black sounded tired and didn’t say anything else before he turned his gaze toward his daughter, and the woman turned toward .

"I’m surprised," she said to .

"Why?" I asked, and she folded her arms.

"Because I didn’t think Adrian spent ti with people."

’Adrian.’

There it was. Black’s actual na. Honestly, it suited him far more than Black. Though I was definitely going to keep calling him Black inside my head.

At this point, even I was beginning to feel bad for him. Only a little, though. Because if it weren’t for his family, he wouldn’t have missed this chance to kill .

Gradually, the woman looked back at him and the crease between her brows returned.

"Speaking of which," she began. "Are you still doing that dangerous work?"

When she asked that, the atmosphere changed slightly. The little girl stopped talking, and Black looked away, trying to avoid eye contact with the woman.

And all that suddenly made understand everything.

’Oh.’

That expression and that reaction. This wasn’t the first ti they had this conversation.

’That is it. My chance to humiliate my enemy.’

Before Black could answer, I imdiately jumped into the conversation.

"What dangerous work?"

The woman looked toward and I continued, "You an killing monsters?"

The mont those words left my mouth, Black slowly turned his head toward . However, I ignored him.

"Well, it’s about ti we leave you guys alone." I said and made a dramatic exit before buying the skewers for Viora.

I know he will be angry at to the point that he would want to kill imdiately, but I am not soone that easy. From now on, we are going to play on my terms.

And it isn’t for Black only. It is for everyone who is going to co after or Viora.

"Woo Jin." As we walked away, Viora suddenly tugged my sleeve. "What was that?" she asked.

"Nothing. I will tell you when we get ho. I have thought of a plan."
