Edie could see the pain in her eyes as she was talking. She knew that there must have been sothing more than trade between her and Todd. She was just about to ask her, and soone knocked on the door.
"Miss Lara is Queenie in your room? It’s Peach." It was Queenie’s assistant coming to give her the room card. Queenie stood up, smiling, "I have talked too much tonight. Ti for to go back to my room."
Edie said gravely, "Queenie, I will rember what you said. I will seriously think about it."
She stood up to walk Queenie to the door, and before opening the door, Queenie said, "Edie, do not get stuck by your feelings. All of them have no feelings."
Then, she opened the door and walked out, leaving Edie standing in the room alone.
Returning to her room, Queenie walked on the balcony and lit a cigarette. At the sight of the smoke, she recalled a story five years ago.
