Edie was surprised how the receptionist could change her face so quickly. Her heart was inexplicably a little unpleasant—why was she so unhappy that soone was coveting Stuart!

Edie was relieved. She paid for the dicine and left. She was thinking that Stuart had been injured heavily for saving her, so she must thank him after he ca back tonight. She was absentminded and slamd into a man’s arms when she walked to the door.
