Ivan pushed the door open, and his head was down as he was looking at the docunts that were in his hands.
"CEO, this is the information for the eting in half an hour. Let’s..."
Ivan looked up, and before he finished speaking, he froze instantly on the spot, "What did he see just now? Oh, my God."
Eddie was extrely embarrassed, and she suddenly beca red in the face. Eddie sat up quickly and pushed Stuart off of her. She got up and walked to the door.
Eddie kept her head down as she was too ashad to look Ivan in the face. She was in such a hurry that she bumped into Ivan, and the files almost fell to the ground. Ivan spoke to Eddie as she was going out the door, "Mrs. Yates, I’m just about to leave. I am sorry for interrupting, and I should have knocked before I entered."
He wondered if it was an illusion because Eddie ran faster than his words. Just then, Ivan suddenly felt a cold chill. Then he rembered that Stuart was behind him.
Ivan turned around and beca as stiff as a statue. Stuart was glaring at him, and his face was cold and unhappy. Stuart’s heart was thumping hard and fast, and by the expression on his face, he was very annoyed.
Ivan had the urge to run away from the scene between Stuart and Eddie. Fortunately, he had a good work ethic, swallowed the slaver, and said cautiously, "CEO, this is the information you need for the eting. I’ll put it down on your desk, and if there’s nothing else I can do for you, I’ll be on my way!"
"You never seem to knock on the door?" Stuart was furious. Ivan didn’t feel that it was his fault, but there was no way he was going to tell Stuart that, "CEO, I’m sorry. I know I should have knocked. Next ti Mrs. Yates is here, I won’t even co to your office."
Watching Stuart step by step, he shivered in fright, "No! It’s never going to happen again!"
Eddie left the L.N. Group in a hurry. As soon as she got into the car, she let out a sigh of relief. She couldn’t help touching her face and found it was still hot. Eddie couldn’t stop thinking about what happened, "Poor, Ivan, I am sure Stuart is letting him have it."
"What is wrong with ? How can I be dizzy by just one kiss? My mind is in such a daze that I can’t tell the difference between the east, the south, or the west!"
Eddie slapped her cheek so hard that she seed to co out of her haze. She shook her head again and threw all the jumbled thoughts out of her mind. Then she took a deep breath and started the car.
But what Edie didn’t know is that from her first step out of the building, all her movents were being watched by soone unknown. A black SUV had been parked for an hour in the lane opposite the L. N. Group building.
It wasn’t until Eddie’s car turned the corner, and it was lost in traffic. He could no longer see her, then the window rolled down, and there was a telescope that stuck out of the window. Soon Donald’s dark face was revealed.
Karen was sitting beside him, and she looked frightened. She took Donald to Australia for treatnt, but it turned out to be more damaging. Under the intervention of a psychiatrist, Donald had a terrible reaction, and his mind grew deeper and deeper into madness.
In the end, he went crazy and couldn’t even get dical treatnt. In less than a month, he seed to have changed into a completely different person. His cold breath rose from the bottom of his heart, like the devil in purgatory.
Karen was so worried that she even tried to hypnotize him, but Donald found out and almost killed her. By the end of the day, Donald had refused all of the treatnts and insisted on returning ho. Karen had no choice but to agree.
When they returned to the city, the mont he got off the plane, he had to see Eddie. Donald went to the L. N. Group, and that was where he saw her for the first ti in months. Karen was terrified that Donald would go mad again.
She was astonished at how calm he was. Donald smiled as if nothing had happened.
"Donald," Karen hesitantly said.
"I’m worried about you. What are you doing right now?"
Donald fixed his eyes on Karen and gave her a wry smile, "How can you be certain that sothing will happen if I don’t go back and do those stupid treatnts?"
"You know very well why I am in this situation. It is only Eddie who can save , and she is in my heart."
Donald had been like this for a long ti, waking up, being crazy, analyzing things like the elite of the industry he used to be. One of these days he was going to go too crazy and blow up, then either he would be killed or soone else. It didn’t seem like anyone could stop him!
Karen accompanied Donald during his treatnt for a whole month, and he was about to have a nervous breakdown.
"But she’s married, and Stuart is her husband. She’s happy now."
But before she finished, she was interrupted by Donald’s mania, "Shut up! You know nothing. She is not happy at all. Only I can make her happy! She didn’t marry voluntarily, and she only married him because Joanna and I were engaged, and she married soone else in retaliation! I’m the one she really loves!"
Karen was sad hearing Donald’s crazy words. Donald was like a beast, and his face was ferocious. His eyes were fierce as if at any ti, he would jump out and hurt soone. Eddie’s na was like a switch as long as he heard it, and it would open Donald’s hidden crazy heart.
Australia’s best psychiatrist, after learning of the situation, he could only optimistically tell Karen for Donald’s illness to be cured he would have to connect with the person he missed the most. There was no one else that could resolve it.
That’s why Karen agreed to Donald’s request to take him ho. But Karen did not agree with Donald’s when he said that Eddie still loved him. Coaxing him would ease his mood for a while, but such self-paralysis would make him think it was the truth.
Then one day, when the truth is revealed, the consequences will only be worse, and by then, Donald might be even crazier. What Donald thought in his heart about Eddie, he believed it to be true. He refused to face the truth.
Karen took a deep breath and said, "Donald, stop fooling yourself. The damage you’ve done to Eddie can’t be undone. It will not be easy for her to get out of the shadows now, so you don’t want to torture her anymore. Do you want to see her suffer again?"
"Suffer again?"
Donald’s beca quiet, and his mind seed to go blank as soon as he heard this sentence.
