By the ti it was Eddie’s turn to audition, she had already read a fair amount of the novel. It had given her a sense of Sally’s personality. When she heard the staff call her na, she put down the book and opened the door of the audition room.
The director of Dynasty Elegy wasn’t there. There was a group and n and won in the room. Eddie was a little disappointed because she thought the novelist, Yolanda, would have been there to see the auditions take place.
As soon as Eddie entered, she stopped in front of the crowd and bowed. The assistant director looked at her up and down and seed satisfied with her appearance. Then he said sothing unnecessary, "Did you finish reading the audition scripts?"
Eddie nodded excitedly, "Yes, I did."
"Then you can know that you are playing the part of Yvonne. This is the scene where she says goodbye to her parents before entering the palace. No one is acting with you."
No one is acting with Eddie, which ant that she had to work alone. They wanted to see her reaction to the person in the play and how she responded to it. This kind of audition could be very embarrassing if it weren’t done well.
If the audition were not perford well, it would be very awkward for Eddie. Luckily, she had prepared for it for several days in advance by reading the script. Eddie nodded, took a deep breath, and said, "I’m ready."
The assistant director had noticed that in just a blink of an eye, Eddie’s appearance had changed instantly. As if suddenly she beca gentle and weak. Eddie imagined that she was sitting in front of her family, and her eyes began to fill with tears.
"I have to go away, and I don’t know when I will be able to return. I am your daughter, but I can’t be here for you. I need you to promise that you will take care of each other. You need to eat well and dress for the weather, especially you, Dad. I know how easily you forget. The minute you feel you are starting to get sick, you need to go and see the doctor. I need to know you will do this for so it can put my mind at ease."
Then it was Yvonne’s parents’ turn to speak. They were crying and very upset and begging her not to go.
"Why are you so worried that your daughter is going to marry a King? You should be happy for . If I can get the people in the palace to love , then I can help you and Mom. This could turn out to be very beneficial for our family!"
She knew that when she entered the palace, she could not predict whether it would be a disaster or a blessing. But before she left, she had to make sure that her parents understood everything. It was not easy to persuade her parents to relax.
Yvonne turned and left her parents’ room, leaving them to rest. As soon as she started to close the door, her smile disappeared, and tears were streaming down her cheeks. She turned around and was facing her parents’ door.
Looking straight ahead and holding onto the door. Eddie put her hands together, and while crying, she said, "I am your daughter. I will not be able to take care of you. I hope that God will not bring my parents’ illnesses and that I will bear all the suffering instead of you. I pray that I will see you soon and that you stay healthy in your old age."

"Well done! You can go now and wait for soone to call you about the results of the audition."
There were many more people who were waiting to be auditioned, knowing that ti was running out, Eddie bowed and left. Once she left the auditioning room, Eddie could still feel her heart pounding fast. She didn’t know if it was her mind playing tricks on her, but she thought she made quite an impression on the directors.
Eddie had a feeling that she was going to get this role in the play. She was so excited, and she had to call Danny. Eddie didn’t go into a lot of detail with him about it; she only told him that she had a good feeling when she left the audition. Danny being the type of man he was, didn’t say too much either.
He was always like this, Eddie and Danny had a great relationship. He was upfront with Eddie and always told her the truth, even if it was sothing she didn’t want to hear. Danny would also save his best resources for her, and Eddie was ever so grateful.
At the end of the conversation with Danny, Eddie was just about to put her phone back in her purse, and it started to ring again. She looked at the number, her face turned pale, and she began to tremble, "Oh my God, it’s Donald. I haven’t heard from him for so long. I thought he was going to let go and be with Joanna?"
Eddie could feel her heart racing and her breathing beca uneven.
"Why is he calling ? What does he want from ?"
Donald’s last episode of madness left lingering unanswered questions in her mind. Eddie hesitated and pressed the button. She couldn’t answer, she didn’t want to answer. Donald wouldn’t give up; one call after another ca.
The phone rang continuously, from the end of her audition to the underground parking lot.
Eddie couldn’t bear it, and finally, she answered. Eddie never gave Donald a chance to speak first. She was so angry and annoyed with him.
"What do you want?" Eddie was shouting at him. It was as she suspected, he acted as though he had done nothing wrong. His voice was soft and gentle.
"Eddie, it’s . Can we et?"
"Why would I et with you?"
Eddie was not impressed at all and thought, "Does he not know how dangerous he is? How can I banish him from my life?"
"I want to apologize to you," Donald said.
"Apologize to ?" Eddie was a little surprised.
Her voice was still alert, and she resisted, "Are you kidding ? What the hell is it going to take for you to leave alone?"
"Eddie, this is a misunderstanding. I just got back from a vacation with Joanna. She showed how to deal with my anger, and I did a lot of soul-searching. I know I was paranoid. So I had to co back to apologize to you. I don’t want you to worry, and I have it all figured out. We both have our own lives. I just really need to see you, so I am able to move on with my life, okay?"
Donald’s voice was low and also seed to be apologetic. But what Eddie couldn’t see was that a strange look flashed into his eyes. Eddie still shuddered at the thought of him.
She could still rember Donald being such a cheerful and optimistic man. They were so happy when they were together, but now he was finally going to let go of Eddie. Should she et ? The big question remained, has Donald changed?
Eddie’s knuckles were white as she gripped the phone, she was struggling, but finally, she made up her mind, "Where are you? I’ll co and et you now."
The address that Donald gave her was the sa as the last ti, the coffee shop.
If Eddie listened carefully, the horrible, excitable tremor was still in Donald’s voice. After all, he hid his feelings well. But this ti, he was going to be careful. Donald controlled his emotions for fear of freaking Eddie out again.
