Eddie spoke in a subdued voice. It had much softness and timbre in it. Then she began to plead with the Queen, "My Queen is still as beautiful as ever. I am a useless old woman; staying with you will not benefit you anymore. I know you care about , but I can no longer serve you, my Queen. My body is too tired and worn out. I want to go to the mountains, and I ask you to let go?"
Mae received many punishnts throughout her life because of Sally. After Sally beca the Queen, Mae beca ill. At this ti, Prince Raines beca sick as well. Mae no longer wanted to stay in the palace as she thought that she owed Prince Raines her life. Mae wanted to leave and defend Prince Raines’s tomb.
There was not much conflict in this scene, but it was very revealing. Malloy and Yolanda looked at each other, and both of them saw satisfaction in each other’s eyes. Eddie was quiet for a while, and everyone watched her. It seed like a long few minutes.
In these few minutes were Sally’s lines. Sally touched her feelings, answered her questions, and threatened her. The Queen’s only goal was to keep Mae.
After so many betrayals and upheavals, Sally took the position of the Queen. In taking this position, she felt more and more lonely at the top. Mae was the only one who stood by her all the way to reign.
How could she let Mae leave her alone in this lonely palace? Sally didn’t want Mae to go, whether she was passionate or self-centered. It seed that when Sally was finished, Eddie slowly looked at her.
There were tears in her eyes, but they didn’t fall down her cheeks. Mae called out, "Miss. Sally, My Queen."
The Queen had not been called this na for ten years. As Mae spoke these words, it was a reminder of the pleasant years they had before they ca to the palace. Sally felt her turmoil through their bond and ached to ease her pain. She hugged Mae and started to cry, "You will always be my sister."
Then there was another mont of silence. Eddie’s expression changed again; there was a sparkle in her eyes that could not be hidden. Then an endless flow of tears fell from her eyes.
Through Eddie’s outstanding performance if soone had read the script. Then they would have known by Eddie’s reaction that Sally said yes, "Thank...Thank you, Miss."
Eddie began to stutter the first few words before she was able to control her emotions. She was full of so much gratitude and relief. Then kneeling before the Queen, Eddie gave her the biggest salute she had given her.
Her young lady had gone to the top, and she did not need her anymore. For the rest of her life, Mae wanted to live for herself. Even if it ant she was left with endless loneliness and regret.
"Perfect!" One of the directors shouted from the room.
Then the room remained quiet until Eddie stood up. Everyone was thinking about her performance, and the more they thought about it, the more convinced they felt that she had brought Mae to life. Yolanda took the lead by clapping her hands first.
Eddie looked up at Yolanda gratefully. Then Yolanda looked back at Malloy, waiting for his judgnt. Malloy coughed, "Not bad."
Knowing that Eddie had succeeded, Bob asked, "So this character. You played Mae with no problems. Do you want the part?"
Eddie was a bit surprised that she actually got the part, and it was all her own, "Thanks, director Malloy!"
By the ti she got ho, Eddie was too excited even to notice that Stuart was ho early. Stuart raised his eyebrows and asked, "What’s going on?"
Eddie was so happy that she was looking for soone to share it with and told Stuart everything about the audition.
"In fact, Mae is a much better character than Yvonne. She has such a pleasant personality and lots of dialogue. Is this not a blessing in disguise?"
But Stuart’s look was strange, "You’re going to be a servant girl?"
"Yes, why what’s wrong with that?"
Stuart frowned, "Doesn’t that an that you have to kneel?"
"It’s okay," Eddie said as she laughed.
"It’s part of the job. It’s my work."
Stuart was not impressed, "I don’t want you to do it. I can you any leading role if you want to continue your acting career."
"No!" Eddie was getting a little upset.
"Stuart, you promised that you would not interfere in my work."
"But, I can’t tolerate you kneeling."
"Think of it like this, and I kneel down as Mae, not as Eddie. When I am here, I am not that servant girl."
Eddie tried to persuade Stuart, "I can’t accept you are kneeling."
"It’s just acting, and there are scenes of kissing and sex as well!"
Stuart’s eyes narrowed. His eyes suddenly beca red with anger, "You will be sleeping with soone else?"
Eddie knew she had said the wrong thing and regretted it, "Okay, let’s see if I can explain it to you. This is acting, it’s my job, and none of it ans anything. So don’t think about it because you will never agree with ."
Not saying a sound, Stuart stared into Eddie’s eyes. Eddie was a bit discontented, "What if the story needs it?"
"Change it."
Eddie pouted and said, " You’re too pushy. You watch all the superstars on the TV. Didn’t they do it before? It’s called dedication to the art."
Before Eddie finished speaking, Stuart laid her on the sofa and kissed her. He had not kissed her so wildly for a long ti, as if he was punishing her with his mouth. It was a long and passionate kiss.
Eddie’s mind went blank for a second. Then Stuart looked down at her with a red face and blurred eyes, and he had an impulse to make love to her. Stuart restrained himself and pecked her gently on her lips and whispered, "I know you like acting, and I’ll let you do it, but be good, eh? I want you to behave yourself."
Stuart’s voice was low and magnetic. These words in her ear were fascinating. Eddie was montarily excited by the CEO and responded, "Okay, I won’t do intimate scenes."
Stuart pulled Eddie closer and kissed her again, "Good girl, this is your reward."
"Who awards whom!" Eddie thought.
