Eddie was so angry. She took a deep breath, looked up at him, and said, "Aaron, do you think I actually believe what you ant?
A cunning look ca into Aaron’s eyes. His envy and malice knew no bounds.
"So why is that not what your heartbreaking eyes tell ?"
He hit the most painful place in her heart. Eddie pressed the bitterness and pain down in her heart, and her voice shuddered.
"This is between Stuart and . It’s none of your business," she said.
"Of course, I am happy if you can handle it well, but I also want to tell you that Stuart is not the only man in the world. If you feel you can’t get along with him anymore, then you should think about . After all, what Stuart can give you. I can give you too!"
Eddie looked at Aaron in surprise, "What did he an? It was not enough to fight with Stuart in the mall. He even wanted to grab Stuart’s won."
For a long ti, Eddie laughed sarcastically, "Aaron, you’re a real loser. Just because a woman is in a fight with a man, you think she will turn to you?"
Even the sarcastic smile on Eddie’s face had not abated.
"He is my fated enemy, and your presence by his side will be the object of our struggle. Which I am sure you have now co to realize."
"So as long as you can win, even if the ans you are disgraceful? Are you saying that you don’t care?"
Aaron gave a slight step towards her, and Eddie’s body trembled. Eddie could see a touch of loneliness in his eyes, and it soon disappeared. It happened so fast that Eddie thought it was an illusion.
"Yes, you are right, I don’t care as long as I beat him! To be honest, you and Hicks are nothing more than chess pieces in my eyes," Said Aaron, smiling as he revealed his white teeth.
Eddie turned her head and looked away from the madman in front of her. It was definitely the most serious dance she had ever had. With everyone’s eyes fixed on them, and her ears were automatically shielded from the foreign sounds.
There were so many people around discussing the neglected wife of the CEO and the gossip of Stuart and Hicks dancing. Just as she was lost, she heard Aaron’s eerie voice, "If you’re upset, I can lend you my shoulder. I hate won too, but I find for so reason you to be interesting."
Eddie bit her lip to hold back her tears, and now even Aaron was taunting her. The loneliness that was on her face was so apparent that Aaron’s smile, which had always been like a mask, was fading away. He couldn’t laugh at her anymore.
Aaron didn’t know why, but when he saw her sad, he could not bear it. His heart twitched so hard that he took a deep breath and blurted, "I won’t hurt you again. I don’t want you to worry."
But Eddie couldn’t understand how hard it was for him to even apologize and she said, "I hope you an what you say, Thank you so much."
The tide was almost high. The best part of the waltz was the turning of the arms of the n and won. It was about to be exchanged at this ti if one wanted to change partners.
Eddie rotated along with the music. She was trying to distance herself from Aaron’s hand, and suddenly from behind her ca a considerable pull. It caught her off guard, and she was pulled into another embrace.
It was so familiar, but yet it was bizarre. She didn’t have to look up to figure out who it was. It was from Stuart. Eddie didn’t struggle because she didn’t want anyone to see her pull away.
Eddie’s face was expressionless as if she had not changed her partner. She followed the music and danced with Stuart’s steps, but had not looked at him from beginning to end. Stuart felt a pain in his heart and did not know what to say to Eddie.
"Are you still not going to tell about you and Hicks?"
Stuart’s body trembled slightly, he looked into Eddie’s eyes, and for a mont, he felt lost.
His narrow shoulders shaking and his thin lips quivering, he opened his mouth, but at first, he couldn’t speak. Eddie waited a long ti for an answer. She raised her eyes unwillingly and looked into Stuart’s dark eyes, which were burning like iron on her body.
It was as though Eddie was going to ask sothing that wasn’t permitted, and Stuart was hesitant.
"Aaron just said that your fiancée had given you a baby, and I subconsciously thought Aaron was lying, but now by your response, it shows that it is true. What the hell happened between you two?"
Stuart didn’t say a word, but Eddie seed to pour out the bitterness in her heart and kept asking.
"Why did you give her the Dior ’s endorsent? Why did you buy her contract? Why are you protecting her? I just want you to give an explanation. Is it that hard?"
Stuart looked at Eddie’s pale and angry face. The blood drained from her face, and the color was almost transparent. There was no light in her eyes, but they were full of pain and stubbornness.
She was so frustrated that she was on the verge of collapsing, but she was still persevering, stubbornly questioning Stuart and herself, and wanting to know about his past. Not that he didn’t want to tell her, but that it was too cruel, and he didn’t want to scare her.
He wanted her to be free forever to do what she wanted. If Eddie were to find out anything bad, then she would leave him. Therefore, he couldn’t tell her.
Finally, he took a deep breath and flatly said, "Sorry, there are things I can’t talk about, but I can tell you that I have nothing to do with Hicks."
Eddie saw his embarrassnt and began to pick up a weak, pale sneer. It was like laughing at Stuart. It was like laughing at herself.
"I don’t care about you and Hicks at all. I care about people and things! You asked to clean up my heart, but did you do it?"
Eddie asked, pointing to her heart, then shook Stuart’s hand and retreated towards the edge. The mont her tears began to fall, she turned and ran as fast as she could towards the open door. She only rembered the way back to the garden, so without any hesitation, she ran out quickly.
But how could she run faster than Stuart? As soon as she got to the door, Stuart grabbed her and Eddie’s face flushed with anger, "If you can’t give a good explanation, I want you to leave alone!"
"I’ve sent her away, and I’ll explain it to you. Now co ho with , please."
It was as if he had made a high resolution, and a confused look flashed across his eyes. It was so deep, and it touched her heart. But Eddie slowly pulled her hand out of his.
Then she said, "I don’t want to."
