Edie ran towards the bathroom but was grabbed from behind. "What the hell do you want from ?" she said to them. She tried to scream, but her scream was stifled as a hand was put over her mouth. She tried to struggle free, but another hand grabbed her waist. She was held tight as she struggled, but whoever held her was too strong. If only she could get away, she’d have ti to run to Clyde’s room before they grabbed her again. The next thing she knew, a hand was put over her mouth again with a horrible slling rag in it. Edie knew that she had to hold her breath, but the more she tried not to breathe, the more she gasped, and the fus from the clothing went into her. She knew nothing more as the blackness descended over her.
"Is she out?" One of the n asked the other.
The other one lifted her arm, and it fell to the ground. "Yup, she sure is," he replied. Then he reached into a bag, pulled out a jacket and put it around Edie. They brought her to her feet, and one man held her waist and put her head on his shoulder. Her head bent forward, and her straight hair fell forward over her face.
"How do we look?" he asked.
"Like a couple," the other man snickered.
They quickly left her room and headed to the elevator. The n were able to exit the hotel without anyone suspecting a thing. By this ti, the effects of the chloroform were starting to wear off. Edie was able to hear, but not able to move or speak. She was terrified and didn’t know what they were going to do to her. Her heart was pounding so hard against her chest, ’It’ll be okay. Stuart will find ; he always does.’ She closed her eyes and tried taking so deep breaths to calm herself down.
Edie felt a strong hand beneath her arm, then felt herself being picked up and carried. They managed to put her in the back seat of a car. ’Where are they taking ? Who are they? What are they going to do with ?’ Her mind was racing a mile a minute. Her head hurt like hell. She could hear their voices but didn’t recognize either one of them.
"I never expected things to go so smoothly." This man had a husky, slightly deep voice that sent a shiver down her spine.
"I know, and no one even looked our way. Now, what shall we do with her?" The other man’s voice sounded nacing and evil. "And she was worried we couldn’t pull it off."
"Guess we proved her wrong," he chuckled.
The man with the husky voice looks at Edie in the rearview mirror with a sinister smile on his face and says, "She’s sexy. Don’t you think?"
"I think I know what you have in mind for her. Planning on having a little fun with her, are you?" He smiled maliciously and added, "The Miss did ask us to take a nude picture of her."
Edie lays in the back seat, listening to their voices, trembling in fear for her life. She kept thinking, ’They’re going to rape and maybe even kill .’ Her head was swimming; everything was out of focus; all of her mories lting together that nothing made sense. Her head felt so heavy, and she didn’t even try to lift it. Her fists were clenched so tight that blood leaked from cuts her nails dug into the flesh of her palms. An unending supply of fresh red blood seed to be slowly making its way out of her palm. Edie sucked in a breath as she rubbed the spot where the pain seems to deepen with each second. The pain didn’t matter, and she was slightly more conscious of her surroundings.
Edie opened her eyes to look around. The two n were talking amongst themselves and didn’t even notice she was awake. ’I’m in an SUV, and my hands aren’t tied,’ Edie though. She could hear honking and see flashing yellow traffic lights. ’There has to be soone who could help .’ She felt herself quivering inside and gnashed her back teeth together and pinched herself hard, trying to bring herself around. It took everything she had to not cry out in pain, but it worked. She was sober and now able to move. She waited for the right mont, and when the SUV stopped at a red light, she jumped out. At first, she stumbled, and then she began to run.
"Fuck, Tom, what were you thinking? Why the hell didn’t you tie her up?" said Tim.
"Did you ask to tie her up?" he asked with a tone of sarcasm in his voice.
They bickered back and forth for a few seconds and jumped out of the vehicle to chase after Edie. "You go that way, and I’ll circle around this way. There’s no way she’s going to get away."
In the condition Edie was in, she didn’t have the strength to go far. The two n were strong and tall, and within a few steps, they had her in their hold. Tim was the man with a husky voice. He was furious and reached out and pulled her hair. He threw her to the ground and slapped her on the face and said, "Bitch! Don’t you dare struggle again or next I won’t be so nice." He slapped her violently again, and her lip started bleeding. He raised his hand to do it again but was stopped by Tom.
"Are you trying to kill her? We have a job to do first. After it’s done, it doesn’t matter what you do to her," Tom said.
Tim glared at her and threw Edie into the back seat again. She grabbed her arm and put them behind her back. "Do what I tell you and don’t even think about struggling," he said as he tied her hands together.
Edie didn’t have the strength to fight back. She was breathing hard and shaking violently. "Please...Let go....I will give you whatever.....you want," she said, her voice trembling.
He laughed at her and put his hand on her leg. "It doesn’t matter how much money you have." A grin appeared on his face. "Our price can be doubled or tripled. Money is no issue," Tom said.
He looked at Tim and smiled. "She’s offering us money." Then he turned and looked at Edie, "Little do you know you have angered our boss, and now it’s ti for you to pay the price," he said.
Edie leaned forward, her face blank with fear. ’Who would want to do this to ?’ she wondered.
The two n got in the front seat. Tim looked at Edie and said, "Rember, don’t try anything." Then he looked at Tom and said, "Drive!"
Edie’s mind was a ss. ’I’ve been kidnapped, and no one knows that I’m even missing. Not even Stuart can help .’ Tears started streaming down her cheeks. ’"Please don’t do this," she pleaded.
