Ivan was simply beside himself with gut-wrenching Fear and anxiety, the likes of which he had not experienced before. It nearly drove him insane, and he knew Stuart would never forgive him for his carelessness. He knew what his mission was, but he failed. He failed in keeping Mrs. Yates safe. Ivan rubbed his chin, clenched his jaw, took out his phone and slowly dialed the number and said, "Mr. Yates...I..."
"Spit it out, Ivan," Stuart said in his usual cold tone.
Ivan’s voice sounded strange and hollow. He swallowed and said, "Mrs. Yates has gone missing."
"What did you say!?" Stuart shouted, his voice roaring through the phone.
Ivan tried to explain quickly. "This morning, when we were on our way to see you, there was an accident. There was a little girl involved, and we brought her to the hospital. She needed surgery. After the operation, Mrs. Yates talked to the doctor, and I haven’t seen her since. I checked the surveillance caras, but so of them have been deleted."
A worried look ca across Stuart’s face. "I’ll be right over. Check all the surveillance caras, even the ones surrounding the hospital. There has to be sothing showing where she’s gone. Oh, don’t forget to check the parking lot and the entrance of the hospital," Stuart demanded. He remained calm and controlled, suppressing his anger and bitter disappointnt as he gave Ivan the orders.
Ivan listened to him very carefully. "Yes....sir!" he sputtered.

When Edie woke up, she found herself in a strange room and in a strange bed. Slowly she looked around the room. There was soone lying beside her in another bed. She quickly got up and took a closer look. "It’s Annie?" she said, not knowing where they were or how they got there. She examined Annie to make sure she was okay. Edie bent over to listen to her breathing. "She sounds good, she’s not pale anymore, but why are we here?" Then she slowly sifted through what she could rember from that day. "Aaron!" she whispered.
Right at that mont, Edie wanted to scream for help, and suddenly a voice ca from inside the room. "She’s sedated, but she’ll be fine. I think Annie really likes you," Aaron said.
Edie quickly glanced around the room and noticed a cara and a speaker in the corner of the wall. "What’s that? Are you keeping , prisoner?" she asked angrily. She clenched her fists and widened her eyes in surprise. "You were the one who tried to hurt her? Weren’t you?"
Childe put his finger to his lips and said, "Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone. This is my future wife, and if she finds out, she will be really sad, and I don’t want her to be sad."
"You’ve gone insane!" she shouted. "Co in here and talk to instead of hiding behind a cara," she shouted again, staring at the cara, knowing Childe was watching her every movent.
Seeing Edie so angry, made Aaron’s eyes crinkle and his mouth curved into a sinful smile. "I like making you angry. There are too many happy people in this world. They surround . The more I see them happy, the more I want to tear them apart." He knew he had a dark side, but he would never admit he was evil. Because if he were, he wouldn’t have tried to save Annie. He wanted Stuart to pay, but he was not willing to jeopardize Annie’s life again. Aaron lived in pain his whole life and was not going to follow in Stuart’s footsteps anymore. It was Stuart, or it was him, but one of them was going to die.
Childe stared through the screen, looking at Edie. The temptation was there, and he couldn’t resist. He started laughing. "You can’t tell Annie the truth. She’s too fragile! Rember, she has a heart condition." He lowered his voice and continued. "If you tell her and sothing happens to her...." He hesitates. "She could die, and that would make you as bad as ."
The words stamped a brand on her heart, Fear. A shiver of foreboding ran through her. He was threatening her. Edie clenched her fists tightly by her side. She was helpless. There wasn’t anything she could do to stop him, and she hated it. She took a few deep breaths and tried to calm herself down. "You’re using to get back at Stuart. Am I right?" she asked. "I will never let you do it. I will die before I let you hurt him," she said, raising her voice slightly.
A mont later, Aaron’s voice ca over the speaker. "Take a look at the innocent little girl lying in bed," Aaron paused and laughed. There was pure evil in his laughter. "If you die, she dies!" His voice was loud and clear.
"You’re....." Edie’s voice quivers. "Do you not have any feelings? No sense of empathy? She’s a sweet, innocent child. How could you..."
"Innocent, you say," Childe sneers. "Am I not innocent?"
"You’re innocent? I told you, you’ve gone insane. Whatever cos your way is what you deserve," Edie says sarcastically.
Aaron started to laugh maniacally. His laugh was sounding like the devil. "Yes, I will get what I deserve. That’s what this is all about. I thought you knew that. I have not received my punishnt, but when it does....." He licks his lips and takes a big deep breath. "I’m not sure if you’ll be alive to see it. Life has many twists and turns, as you may know." His voice echoed in Edie’s ears like the whistling of a distant wind.
Edie’s heart sank; she felt her stomach churn, and a wave of panic flooded over her. She wasn’t going to let him win, no matter how hard he tried. "Yes, life does!" was all she said.
"I’m all done talking for now. Don’t go anywhere," he said and laughed. "Try not to hurt yourself while I’m gone. It would be an awful thing if you were to die," he snickered. "Because if you die, I will have to kill everyone in the castle too. After all, I wouldn’t want you to be lonely. Then I could threaten Stuart with your corpse. How much fun would that be?"
Edie’s face turned blood red. She glared at the cara, and just to infuriate him, she smiled. "You’re an evil man. Who does vicious things, but your day will co."
Aaron chuckled, "Evil?" He raised his voice, and it echoed throughout the room. "Do you rember the first you t ? It was that day that I told Stuart the ga would never end until one of us was dead." Then Aaron turned off the microphone.
