"Don’t say you loved her. If you really loved her, you should never hurt her. The so-called "responsibility" is just your excuse. You are not qualified to be a man. You ruin a woman. She still loved you at the last mont. She asked to stay with you. She told that you are a good man. It took ten years for to prove that you are a kind and upright man. But I failed."
"You are a selfish man. Even if you know you, and she would end with tragedy, you still approached her and slept with her."
Each word, like a sharp knife, pulling into Stanley’s heart and he didn’t know how to refute. He had so much pain, and he sohow feels that Edie lost her respect for him.
Finally, Edie said coldly, "After the after-marriage return feast, I want to dissolute our upbringing relationship. I have nothing to do with you."
"Impossible. Everyone knows that my daughter is going to marry Stuart. If you do this, what would they say?" Stanley panicked. He doesn’t want to lose this chance to get a connection from Yates’s family.
It was at this mont that he really exposed his nature.
Edie kept sneering, "This is your problem. I don’t care. I know that you need my husband’s connection to get your business back on track,"
"I’ve raised you up for many years..." Stanley said, aiming to get his daughter’s help.
Stanley wanted to persuade her. But Edie shouted out loudly.
"Shut up. You’ve never been a father to . If even dare to hurt physically the ti I pleaded you to protect ,"
Everyone in the airport suddenly fell into silence and looked towards them.
Edie’s eyes beco red. She looked at him with hatred, "Shut your mouth up. You never raise up. Never. When my grandpa left the house, I could never share a table with you. All clothes were picked up from Victoria’s garbage. Have you really taken as your daughter? When I asked my grandpa to send to the boarding school, I wished I didn’t have to co back again. I hate our ho. It seems to have been hell when you chose to marry another woman."
"You are not qualified to say these words."
Then, Edie turned around, leaving him.
Then, she saw a familiar figure. It was her husband, Stuart.
Stuart frowned. When he entered and heard Edie’s voice, he rushed here.
At the mont he saw her tears, he rushed towards her, holding her in arms tightly. Next second, Edie leaned against him. Currently, she was as weak as an infant and seeking her husband’s warm embrace.
She closed her eyes, but tears still poured out. She couldn’t stop tearing. She bites her lips, trying to keep quiet. She almost broke her lips.
Stuart never saw this before. He couldn’t bear to see his wife getting hurt. It hurts him even more, when he sees her crying.
She was in deep sorrow.
Stuart held her up and placed her in his car. Others were in Brittany’s car.
"You can cry loudly on my shoulder if you want," Stuart wiped her tears, but tears kept falling down.
Edie tried the best to control herself. Stuart’s words made her stop sobbing. She directly held him and cried out in his arms.
"Honey, from now on, I will be your strength, and I will never hurt you. No matter what happened, I will always be your supportive husband," Stuart kisses her on her forehead.
But she didn’t dare to make any sound. She didn’t want her grandpa to hear her crying.
Stuart touched her hair gently with his big hands.
"Ivan, get rid of them."
Ivan imdiately accelerates the car, shaking off the car behind them.
"Now you can cry out," Stuart said.
Edie didn’t struggle to press her pain. She cried out loudly.
"Stuart, I missed my mom so much. If he were not selfish and only considered for himself, my mom wouldn’t die. My mom will never suffer any pain if he treated her nicely,"
Stuart didn’t know how to comfort her. All he could do now was hold her tightly in his arms.
Edie cried in cars for a long ti. Finally, they arrived at an amusent park.
Edie sobbed and asked, "Why....why are we here? We should go ho now. Grandpa would worry about us."
"He would worry about you more if he sees your face now. Let’s spend an hour here before we went to grandpa. Cheer up and smile, my wife," Stuart wiped her tears carefully. He already ran out of two packs of facial tissues.
"My face? What happened to my face?" she touched her small face and asked.
Then she took her phone out and turned on the cara. Her eyes were swallowed badly.
No wonder she felt it hard to open her eyes.
She imdiately covered her face, "why do I beco so ugly? God, I don’t want to see anyone. I want to be back in the car."
She turned around. But Stuart stopped her, "Don’t worry, I still like you."
"What do you an? You dare not to like ?" Edie pretended to be angry,
Her big shining eyes now were as red as rabbits’ eyes. Though she looked embarrassing indeed, Stuart still thought she was the most beautiful one.
He couldn’t help rubbing her hairs, "don’t worry. I’ve already got used to it."
"Get used to it? You asshole. Am I ugly? I am gorgeous, don’t you see? My beauty has been tested by ti." Edie felt wronged.
Edie was pretty, indeed. But compared with Stuart, she looked normal.
When the couple entered the park, everyone, from five-year-old to eighty-year-old grandma, was attracted by Stuart’s beauty.
Edie knew this. But she didn’t want to acknowledge it. "See, everyone is looking at ."
Stuart was amused.
"Okay, let’s go in. Ivan already bought the ticket."
"No. I am a grown woman. Stop. I have a fear of heights. Stop."
Edie wanted to turn back. But Stuart already dragged her in.
