Edie was sleeping when she heard sothing.
She opened her eyes and gradually noticed the man’s appearance.
In the darkness, she saw a man stumbling to him.
"Stuart..."
She was quite familiar with the figure of the man.
Stuart didn’t answer. He strides towards her without words.
When he stopped in front of her, she realized he was drunk.
She wanted to get up. But the man already fell on her.
She was forced into the quilt. She remains silent and waits for him to talk.
"What should I do, Edie? I don’t know what to do,"
He nagged her nas painfully. The voice tortured her heart little by little, brutally.
Stuart has never been so desperate and helpless. She never saw her husband in a vulnerable situation. Stuart maintains his image as a nobleman and never lost his control.
She embraced his back, comforting him. Her hands slowly slid behind Stuart’s back to calm it down.
"What happened? I am here, tell ." Her voice was full of concern.
"Why? Why could she do this to ? And my father..."
Edie quickly knew it was Bette,
He must feel painful now.
She touched his back, gingerly, "Though I don’t know how to help you, I would always be here for you. I will always be at your side to comfort you. I will be your loving wife who will always support you. Honey, whatever your burden is you can share it to ,"
Stuart suddenly fastened the hands, holding her as if he wanted to engrave her into his life.
"Don’t leave , Edie. I have nobody else." His voice broke in pain.
His young brother fought against him for his benefit. His mother betrayed his father for love.
He was a fabulously wealthy and spontaneous palace, and he was terribly lonely insides. He had no one except his wife.
If Edie left him, he would break down. He can’t continue living a life without her.
He had been staggering on for too many years.
His voice sounded exhausted. Edie’s eyes turned red.
She felt sorry for him.
"I promise, Stuart. I would never leave you alone. I will always be with you,"
This was her promise and oath for him.
The couple hugged for a long ti and fell asleep.
On the second day, Edie was awoken by the phone.
Stuart had been gone for a long ti. The quilt was cold.
Before she thought more, the phone rang again. She swept the phone quickly. Unexpectedly, it was Francies.
She realized she planned to leave today.
She answered the phone imdiately.
Francies relieved on the other side, "Little gorgeous, you finally answer. I’ve been calling you several tis."
"So sorry. I don’t know the ti you would call , so I didn’t set a clock."
"That’s all right. I would pick you up now. Stuart’s not there. I believe nobody else can stop you. Before he returned back, I would get you on the plane."
"Where... where’s he?" Edie asked, trembling. She recalled the man last night.
"You are his wife. Don’t you know?" Francies asked out of curiosity.
"He left early. I don’t know where he went."
"He might be in hospital now. Traffic accident. He drove too quickly this morning and crashed. This is the best opportunity for you to leave."
"What" Edie yelled out in astonishnt.
But he was perfectly well last night.
Francies’s eyes almost exploded when hearing her yelling.
"Calm down, okay? I’ve had my people asked. It’s not bad. His head was bleeding. He ran through a red light. It was wired. He crushed other cars on purpose. So wired."
Since he took the risk to take Edie away, he certainly would keep a close eye on every move of Stuart. Ten minutes ago, his man reported to him that Stuart went through a red light and collided with the car.
This was the best opportunity to take Edie away.
"Red light? Bleeding head?"
Edie felt her heart missed a beat. She tried the best not to fall down.
"Pick up. I need to go to the hospital," Edie sounded really worried.
He ran through the red light and lay on the bed now...
This man had always been calm and strict. What happened to him. She needed to learn in person.
She wouldn’t set her mind until she was sure that he was okay.
"Are you sure? You might not be able to leave if you go to the hospital."
"I know, please."
"Okay. I would be right there..." Francies felt a headache. He thought he might be involved in big trouble.
Edie hangs down. She was frightened. If it was Donald, she might feel guilty for her whole life. But it was Stuart. If sothing bad happened to Stuart, she might lose all hope.
She held the phone tightly. No one answered the phone. Stuart, Ivan, and even Mr. Bates didn’t answer the phone.
Was the wound bad? Nobody told her—such an asshole.
Edie’s tears fell down.
"If you die, I would never forgive you."
At the mont, Francies kicked the door open and took Edie away.
She thought he had developed a perfect plan. But the reality told her she had overestimated Francies too much.
If he were that clever, he wouldn’t use Edie to force his fiance to end the engagent with him.
But she was not in the mood to think about this. On her way to the hospital, she kept asking about Stuart.
"Oriental gorgeous, could you stop asking for a mont? I might be distracted and crushed."
"Okay....but could you tell his condition?"
She looked at him with expectation. Her eyes were covered with a layer of tears. He was tendered,
Her eyes looked like eyes of an infant, eyes of begging,
Nobody could refuse such eyes.
Francies sighed, "don’t worry. He’s okay. I have my people investigate the spot. He was injured, but it was not bad. Besides, if we could know every detail of his condition, he might not be able to survive for such a long ti."
