She was so familiar with Stuart. He cared about her so much. She was the first priority for him.
If Stuart really woke up, he would call her imdiately.

Whatever the reason was, Edie hated it. She wanted to know what happened to her husband. She misses Stuart so much.
But Edie didn’t tell Ivan. She just nods.
The doctor said her baby was in great danger. She had to control her emotion. She should ensure her baby’s safety. The baby inside her belly is a great gift for her and Stuart. She is looking forward to seeing her husband’s reaction when she tells him that they will soon be having a baby.
She couldn’t leave until her grandpa was buried. She could set everything aside now. All she had to do was to protect the baby, the baby of her and Stuart.
Ivan lied to her. He thought she might see through her, but she didn’t.
He was relieved but still confused, "Mrs. Yates, do you want to ask anything else?" His voice was a bit worried.
"No. All I want to know is when Stuart recovers. I know you do all this for . Now I just want to take good care of my baby."
She smiled, assuring him that she is okay.
Ivan felt a little bitter. But he didn’t say anything.
Indeed, it was not the right ti to tell her the news.
As he was about to leave, Edie suddenly said,
"Ivan..."

Jay also read the news. He knew Edie must be so sad, so he wanted her to have a good rest.

Edie was thrilled with joy but lost at the sa ti.

This afternoon, Ivan bought her a book. She read page by page, carefully.

Hearing the nurse’s complaint, Edie touched the belly gently and smiled.

The nurse changed the dicine for Edie and finally left,
Edie said to the belly imdiately after she closed the door, "Babe, don’t listen to what the aunt said. Your dad loves mommy so much. But he couldn’t co because of sothing significant. Guess what he would look like when knowing your existence? Do you want your mommy or your dad to na you?"
She sounded really gentle. Finally, she chortled.
She kept reading and lied down when she felt tired.
She couldn’t move a lot now. So she spent lots of ti lying on the bed.
As ti went by, Edie felt better. At least she could take a walk outside now.
After three days, her grandpa would be buried.
Edie got up quite early and wore the black dress on. Ivan drove her to Greg’s house. He told Stanley that if Mrs. Greg dared to do anything to Edie, Stuart wouldn’t forgive them.

Therefore, nothing happened.

Edie walked to the foot of the mountain and returned back to the flat in Ivan’s car.
