"Okay, but don’t annoy Hicks and ."
Stuart said, and left.
Edie could sll the light flavor on him. It felt like snow water,
That was the sll of Stuart. She still rembers his fragrance.
When Stuart opened the door, he saw Hicks standing there.
His face remained the sa, "what’s up?"
Hicks got a little embarrassed, "The waitress is too dumb here. He poured red wine on my dress. See." She pointed out a huge stain in her dress.
The wine stain on her white shirt looked really hilarious. She felt mad, but she didn’t want to lose her temper and upset Stuart.
Stuart imdiately took off his coat and covered it, "Let’s go."
Hicks was freezing for a second. Then she realized what Stuart did for her. She was surrounded by happiness, and in a sweet voice she said,
"Darling, I love you."
Stuart didn’t say anything in reply, but Hicks was already satisfied. Stuart felt annoyed by the way this woman expressed her emotion to him.
She glances at Edie. She was standing at the door of the man’s room, with tears at the corner of the eyes.
Bitch! She muttered secretly.
"I can’t allow you to take back Stuart from ," She thought.
If it was not the dress, she wouldn’t hear the conversation. She didn’t expect Edie still dared to follow them. Luckily, Stuart never cared about her now.
What Stuart said, ward her heart deeply.
She would have kept showing her deep love for Stuart. She would convince Edie that she already failed, totally. She would force Edie to leave the house soon. She wanted to be the real wife of Stuart and live a perfect life with him. She has been through a lot to give up her dreams.
Edie walked out of the washing room. She could see Hicks saying sothing, and Stuart was smiling.
That smile belonged to her only before,
She returned to her seat in a loss. Hicks kept laughing. Edie felt deeply sad, but she could do nothing now. She lowered her head, staring at the exquisite plate in front of her.
"Madam, what do you want to order?" She heard the woman’s voice who stood next to them, asking for her order.
"Tiramisu"
"This is dessert. What else do you want? We have...."
Edie was not good at French. It was hard for her to understand. Finally, she just interrupted the waitress, "No, just Tiramisu. I want the sweetest. Double."
"Yes, madam. Please wait for minutes."
The waitress quickly served two Tiramisu. Edie took a bite on it.
It was so sweet that she wanted to cry out.
But the sweetness of the cake could suppress the bitterness deep in her heart,
Tears fell down. She wanted to pour all her tears right now.
Nobody saw that. She got the cake mixed with her tears down. It was hard to describe the taste.
After Stuart and Hicks finished, Edie already ate five Tiramisu. Edie didn’t dare to raise her head and wipe her tears until they left. She won’t give any satisfaction to Hicks. She won’t accept that Hicks wins over her.
When she walked out, Stuart’s car was already driven away.
She lost it again.
Looking at cars coming and going, she felt dizzy.
She didn’t call Ivan. Today she wanted to walk alone, to sort sothing out. She needed to spend several minutes to suppress her sadness, to be strong again.
She lowered her head to look at her shoes. Besides, she was a family waiting with her. The kid held his father’s neck and leaned against in his arms,
She was attracted to them. Suddenly she saw they walked across. She thought it was the green light. So she followed.
They passed her. Edie was fallen behind.
"Be...."
She suddenly hears the sharp noise of a whistle. She raised eyes, seeing a white car driving to her.
It approached her so quickly that she forgot to walk away....
At the mont, soone caught her. She imdiately fell down in soone’s arm.
The drive kept cursing, "What the hell? Son of a bitch. Are you blind? It is a red light."
Edie couldn’t hear anything at the mont when she slt the flavor on Stuart,
She raised her head, looking at the man that saved her life just now. Tears oozed out from her eyes.
Stuart frowned, "Are you fucking crazy?"
He sounded angry and care.
Edie looked towards the road. It was not a green light. The family just caught a taxi and walked to it. She was distracted.
But she couldn’t tell Stuart that she was distracted because she imagined her and Stuart with their baby.
She swallowed saliva to pluck up her courage. Then she surrounded Stuart’s waist and pressed her small face to his chest.
He felt her approaching. He wanted to pull her away, but Edie said in a low voice, "Please, don’t pull away. I am still frightening,"
Stuart suddenly felt heart-tendered.
He squinted, looking towards the cara in the distance. Then he took the phone out, sending a text,
"Handle the monitor cara in this zone."
After reading the reply, the man held the phone tightly. He didn’t pull Edie away.
"Thank you." Edie was touched.
Stuart sighed. He held her body up directly, placing her hand on his waist and hold her head, "Okay, as long as you can let go."
Edie couldn’t help herself laughing.
Stuart was still as dumb as before.
Edie stayed in his arms for a long ti. Finally, she loosened her hands reluctantly, "I would never let you go."
"What do you want? Give a price." Stuart frowned.
Seeing her face filled with joy, he looked angry and impatient. But deep in his eyes was a smile.
Edie didn’t like what he said. She raised her head, "I am not a fool. If I don’t agree, I am still your wife, Mrs. Yates. But if I divorce you, I could only get a tiny part of it. I am not an idiot. Okay?"
