Edie was shocked by Aaron’s roaring. She woke up.
She realized what she did just now.
She loosened Hicks’s neck and stepped back, holding her head painfully.
"I... I don’t know. I don’t know what I am doing right now. My head keeps aching....it is painful..."
She struggled to get that crazy idea out of her mind.
Aaron also got hurt. To save her, he threw himself into the danger.
But Stuart left. He was the one that never cared about her life. Why could she suspect the man that saved her life?
Edie was driven crazy by Stuart and herself.
Seeing this, Hicks felt happy, and she wanted her to get worse,
"Edie, if anything happened to Stuart, you would be blad for a life. You can do nothing but beco his obstacle. I wish you can die now."
"Shut up. I didn’t do anything to him. It was him that kept hurting . It was that man that abandoned . I didn’t do anything wrong."
Edie roared painfully. Tears fell down from her face. Her face turned paler. It looked frightening.
Hicks sneered and said word by word, "No matter what, others would believe you are that one that causes this, just to get married to his brother. In their eyes, you are a slut mistress. You are a vicious woman cooperating with another man to sche your husband."
This ti, before Edie answered, Aaron couldn’t put up with these words.
He walked to Hicks and choked her necks with one hand.
"Do you want to kill you now?"
Aaron said word by word. His voice sounded so scary.
The smile disappeared from his face. Only hatred and brutality remained.
He lifted his hands. Hicks blushed. She widened her eyes. Her eyes turned so big that it seed those eyes would pop out next second.
She struggled and kept scratching Aaron’s hands back. Aaron’s hands were bleeding. But he looked relaxing as if he couldn’t feel any pain. Deep in his eyes was death.
At this mont, he really wanted to kill Hicks.
It took quite a while for Edie to calm herself down and stand up.
"Let her go."
Aaron didn’t listen to her.
"Aaron, let her go," Edie shouted out with all her effort.
Aaron didn’t move until this mont. He loosened his hands.
Hicks, like an abandoned doll, fell on the ground. She laughed out directly,
"What? Feel guilty now? If anything happens to , it would tell the public you are cooperating to betray Stuart."
Edie walked to Hicks slowly and lowered her body and pinched her jaw and said,
"I’ve already told you I never hurt him."
"You. You are lying."
Hicks squeezed those words out.
"All right. Since you think so, I can satisfy you. You’d better bless that he never appeared in front of . Otherwise, I would do whatever I can do to torture him to death."
"You..." Hicks stared at her in shock.
At that mont, Edie frightened her. She changed so suddenly.
Edie slapped her face away.
And then she stood up, "I swear I would never allow you to do anything randomly in front of ."
Her voice was clear and cold. Everyone in the kitchen could hear.
The kitchen fell into silence. Even the sound of breathing could be heard.
Edie threw an eye on the cook. The cook was too worried to move.
"Go on, cook. I still want to eat."
Anyway, she’s co here. She needed to find the answer.
"Oh....okay. Would be ready soon."
The cook answered imdiately.
Then, Edie looked towards Hicks and said indifferently, "since you’ve co here, join ."
Then she walked out.
She sat on the sa seat, ordered the sa dish cooked by the sa cook. But her attitude changed totally.
Soon, those dishes were served.
Looking at those dishes, Edie couldn’t help sobbing in silence. Her eyes still looked cold.
She out her favorite at in her mouth. Its taste was not familiar to her anymore.
Not at all.
She tried others. But no one dish tasted like those cooked by Stuart.
So, why did those dishes she ate before...
She put the chopsticks down and looked towards the fat cook.
"Cook, could you explain?"
"I don’t feel well these days. So it is normal that I couldn’t cook the sa delicious dishes as before. I am sorry, Miss," he tried to explain,
"I never said they tasted differently. But you are right, they are indeed different," Edie said in a cold voice.
The fat cook froze. He didn’t expect Edie was such a clever girl. She has already found sothing wrong.
He was panicking. He turned towards Aaron to ask for his help.
It was Stuart and Aaron’s plan. Now Edie found it. It was his responsibility to stand out to explain.
"Edie, we need to go ho now. Don’t stay here, okay?"
Aaron walked to Edie, wanting to hold her hands. But she didn’t move.
"You are lying to , right? Tell who cooked these dishes. I think you need to give an explanation,"
She didn’t turn around to look at Aaron. Her sound remained cold and tough.
Aaron’s heart trembled. Finally, he sighed, "yes. You are right. Do you feel satisfied?"
She was right...
So it was Stuart that cooked for her those days.
The man she saw that day was Stuart
But he has forgotten her, hasn’t he? Why did he still cook for her?
She could only conclude one conclusion.
He rembered her. But why didn’t she tell her?
Edie was in a mass. She got completely confused.
As lots of theories ca into Edie’s mind, she almost broke down.
Finally, Edie took a deep breath, "Okay, I get that. I don’t have to know why. I don’t care whether he rembered or nor. Whatever."
Edie stood up and left. Her back looked so lonely and isolated.
Hicks followed her. She was shocked by Edie’s words, "Edie, what the hell do you an? He rembers you. How could it be possible? What the hell are you talking about?"
But no one answered her.
