"How could you do this? He might die. What the hell are you doing here?" Edie stood in front of Stuart, though she knew clearly that she couldn’t change anything. She didn’t care.
Ellison’s eyes were cold. Though he felt pity for Stuart, he still said in a cold voice, "He is the heir of the group. As one of the Yates, he was responsible for whatever he did."
"I can do it for him," Aaron shouted out suddenly.
"What?" Ellison frowned.
"I can accept the punishnt for him. Just three days, right? I can handle it," Aaron stared at Ellison.
Ellison didn’t insist this ti, "okay, you can do it for . The rule doesn’t forbid this. Now the only thing is whether he could wake up. If he died, we don’t have to do anything else."
Then, Ellison turned around and left.
Edie wanted to express her deep appreciation of Aaron, but Aaron stopped her.
"I do it for . If I make any mistake in the future, he should accept the punishnt for , double."
Edie knew Aaron didn’t an it. Though his words sounded cold, his heart was kind. He was a kind-hearted man.
"Aaron, whatever you planned, I think I still need to thank you, for Stuart and ."
"I don’t need this," Aaron sounded cold. He turned around and left the ward, leaving Edie and Stuart alone.
The doctor also perceived sothing different. He also left the room.
Now there was only Edie staying with Stuart in the ward.
Edie fixed her eye on that weak man lying on the bed in silence. The electrocardiogram remained the sa. If Edie couldn’t see any vibration on it, she would believe he already died.
Edie wanted to complain. But, after knowing how much he had done for her, her heart started aching.
Edie sat beside the bed and held his hands. Even his hands were covered with the wound. They were covered by layers of bandages. Blood reddened white bandage. It looked so stunning and shocking.
She couldn’t help herself sobbing. Tears fell into his palm.
She said, "Stuart, I am here."
But Stuart didn’t say anything. Edie couldn’t hear a word.
Aaron stood at the door. Seeing what happened insides from the door slit, his heart was burning.
He tried to panted hard to ease the pain on the heart. But it didn’t work.
Finally, he turned around and left.
After getting in the car, Aaron said, "Ellison, I don’t want to be the president now. I would take this position from him, rather than accepting. It is insulting ."
"No matter what, you need to take over the job these days. Handle all business in the group."
"...okay."
Aaron turned back to the Bolton Chateau. At the mont he entered the chateau, Willison walked to him imdiately. He looked so nervous, "Your mother is here."
"Okay."
Aaron went upstairs. He pulled open the door and saw a gentlewoman. Though she was already 40 years old, she was still stunningly beautiful.
Of course, he knew what Rose wanted to say to him.
When seeing Aaron, Rose stood up imdiately and said in a joyful voice, "we’ve been fighting for this for many years. Now we finally succeed. As long as Ellison gave you the power in L.N, with our shares in the group, we would definitely win that bitch. Bette would never be able to have a saying in the group. After clearing all Stuart’s n and kicking out the Keens, we would win the whole group."
Aaron looked bad when hearing these words. After falling into silence for a while, he said, "I already told Ellison. I don’t want to accept the position. I just take over the job for several days. Temporary agent."
"What? What the hell are you talking about?" Rose was still imrsed in her dream. When hearing Aaron’s words, her face imdiately changed. Smiled disappeared. She looked so angry at the mont.
"Mom, please give up. I won’t help you fight for this anymore."
"Stupid."
Rose slapped his face without any hesitation.
Her eyes turned sharp as if they could cut Aaron apart. She roared out angrily, "I’ve raised you for many years. Is this your way to pay back? We would win soon, and you are going to give up at this point? Go to Ellison now and tell him you want the position, now."
"I don’t want this."
Aaron suddenly roared out.
"It is your dream. But I never dread of this. This is not my life. Not at all."
"You are exactly the sa as your father. Helpless coward. Don’t you enjoy life with power and wealth? Above all. Don’t you enjoy the life I give you? I give you everything. Now you stand out to reject . Don’t you feel guilty? I can tell you now, Aaron, you are not qualified to reject . I am your mother. Now I have the right to order you to do anything."
Rose’s face turned angrier.
"So, you want your son to die?"
Aaron sneered and asked.
"You..."
Rose looked at him in shock. She had to acknowledge that her son was already out of her control. He beca so strong that she was no longer able to control him anymore.
She squinted and kept talking, "I know you fall in love with Stuart’s wife. Stuart might die soon. As long as you beco the president of the group, she would be yours. It is so simple, baby."
She knew her son so well. Though she never asked Aaron anything about his life, she knew everything in his life.
He looked like her. But when it ca to love and romantic relationships, he acted like his father.
Though he was brutal outside, he was actually a kind-hearted lover.
The reason the family frequently punished him was he could have hindered Stuart in a better way, but he didn’t use it that way. It was not because of his failure. He didn’t fail.
He always chose to expose himself and accept the punishnt voluntarily.
It took many years for her to teach him to be brutal. But he applied this to no one but himself.
He never cared about power or wealth. The only thing he cared about was love.
Aaron had to acknowledge that he wanted to say yes for a mont. He wanted to get Edie.
But when the idea got into his mind, he frowned. He was shocked inside.
Why could he do this?
His voice turned colder, "Stop dreaming of it. I won’t help you. You can leave now."
"Son, why are you such a stupid boy. If you give up everything now, you will lose everything except the loneliness." Rose said anxiously.
"Wilson, send my mother back," Aaron’s voice was mixed with slight brutality.
Rose took a glimpse at Aaron. Her eyes turned scary all of a sudden. But she didn’t say anything. She left directly.
