You Are Mine (English) Chapter 623: Stop Them

The night screen had hung out. The house was tranquil. Sotis security guards would co to check.

Edie just finished taking a shower for Cecil. After getting him into sleep, she started preparing to take a shower. But when she walked into the bathroom, she heard a strange sound out of the window. It sounded really scary, like soone passing through.

Edie was shocked. She turned around. Unexpectedly, the window was opened.

Her face was stinging from the icy wind from the outsides. She couldn’t help herself stepping backward.

Was it.... the wind?

She frowned slightly and walked to the windows. She looked out of the window. It was on the fifth floor. There was no protective fence here. She could see the night sightseeing directly.

Downstairs was the lawn. Many people were standing there as if sothing big happened there.

Edie closed the window. But when she turned around, a gun was pointed at her head. Then her mouth was covered tightly. She couldn’t make any sound.

In front of her was a man standing in black. He wore a black coat, with a hat and mask. The hat hid his face completely. The man was so tall, 1.9 ters in height. Such a tall man stood in front of Edie, like a heavy black cloud.

Edie blinked her big eyes. She was frightened. Her eyes swept through this man’s body quickly. She saw the blood oozing out from his shoulder. The black coat already got wet.

He was injured. Did those n co to catch him?

Before she understood what happened here, she heard a group of people stepping towards her room. Yes, their destination was clear. It was her room.

At this mont, the man started talking, "Stop them."

It was not begging. On the contrary, he seed like ordering her. He sounded so calm and strong. Though he was injured, he was still confident. He asked Edie as if she was his maid.

Besides, his voice sounded really familiar. He sounded like Arther’s elder brother. It sounded like Mr. Norman.

Edie fixed her eyes on his eyes, "Mr. Norman?"

"Yes," the man was shocked as a whole. He didn’t expect that Edie could recognize him so quickly.

At that mont, soone knocked on the door. Kenley asked in a serious voice, "Miss Lara, please open the door."

Edie frowned. She asked Norman, "Why do they want to catch you?"

"I co to visit that foodie for Arther," Norman said in an indifferent voice.

Even at this significant mont, this man remained calm. Edie really admired such a spirit.

"Hide yourself in a corner. I can handle them." Edie said in a heavy voice. She felt sothing went wrong. So she took the dagger on his waist out.

He didn’t ask her why she helped him. He just stared at her with his alarming eyes like an eagle’s eyes.

Norman’s dagger was so sharp. The blood oozed out from her palm. It hurt so much.

Kenley walked into the house. He fixed his gloomy and cold eyes on Edie and asked in a cold voice, "Miss Lara, what took you such a long ti?"

Edie pointed at her body. She still wore a shower cap on the head and wrapped a bathrobe. Her face and neck were wet. Apparently, she just finished taking a shower. And she hasn’t dried her body.

"I accidentally cut my hand when I cut fruit. But I didn’t sll the blood. Mr. Kenley had such an acute sense of sll. So impressive. I need to go now. I need to take so dicine and go to sleep. I’ve conceived a baby. I couldn’t stay up. Mr. Kenley, please be careful and silent when you check the house, okay?"

Edie tried the best to be calm. But actually, she’s been so nervous that she could feel her heart almost popping out. If they still stayed here, they would find that man.
